GROIKTP Chapter 429

This entry is part 349 of 534 in the series Global Reincarnation: Only i Know the Plot

Standing behind Orm was a gaunt middle-aged man named Vulko.

He was an advisor in Atlantis, a close confidant of Orm, and one of his most trusted aides.

However, anyone who’s watched the *Aquaman* movie knows that this guy is a real turncoat!

While enjoying Orm’s hospitality, Vulko secretly served as Arthur’s mentor, training him to become a skilled warrior. Arthur’s current combat prowess owes a lot to Vulko!

To make matters worse, Vulko constantly manipulated Arthur, telling him that Orm was unfit to rule and that under his leadership, Atlantis would eventually decline. He insisted that Arthur, with his royal blood, was a better fit for the throne of Atlantis!

It was clear he wanted Arthur to rebel against Orm and seize his throne.

Honestly, Orm was in a pretty pitiful situation.

His fiancée, Mera, didn’t like him; his trusted advisor, Vulko, was betraying him; even his own mother didn’t support him…

To get to this point was already tragic.

In truth, even without Chen Ye’s interference, Orm’s defeat was inevitable.

Everyone around him was on Arthur’s side!

The meeting began.

Orm smiled as he addressed the three kings seated next to him.

He had a plan forming in his mind.

A plan against the surface-dwellers.

If it succeeded, Orm would become the ruler of the entire world.

However, he needed supporters for this plan.

The kings before him were ideal candidates.

Today, Orm intended to persuade them.

“Welcome, everyone, to Atlantis!”

King Nereus commented, “Forgive me for saying so, King Orm, but your choice of venue seems a bit too old.”

The meeting was not held in the usual spacious and bright conference room, but in the ruins of an ancient site. Although it was still part of the Atlantis palace, the setting was rather desolate.

“King Nereus, haven’t you recognized these statues? They represent the ancient kings!”

Orm’s expression suddenly grew solemn as he explained, “In the time of King Atlan, the Seven Kingdoms were united. Our ancestors used to gather here, with King Atlan seated at the head of this table. This is where the King of Xebel sat, along with the kings of the Brine, Fishermen, and so on… Together, they formed the greatest empire the world has ever seen!”

Hearing Orm bring up their ancestors, everyone knew that today’s meeting had a deeper significance.

As expected, Orm continued, “But now? Our Seven Kingdoms are scattered, with some in decline. We not only hide in the depths of the sea but face a grave threat from the surface!”

King Nereus couldn’t help but interrupt, “Surface-dwellers have always been prone to violence. They’ll destroy themselves soon enough.”

“But they’ll destroy us first!”

Orm’s tone grew stern as he urged the others, “Humans on land take and take from nature. If this continues, the world will fall into ruin at their hands. We must stop the humans on the surface!”

“We’ve hidden for too long. It’s time for the Kingdom of Atlantis to rise again! We must show the surface-dwellers who truly rules this planet!!”

At this moment, Orm sounded like a true orator.

Listening from the shadows, Chen Ye couldn’t help but admit that Orm had quite a gift for speech.

The other kings, swayed by Orm’s words, seemed tempted.

They too harbored resentment toward humans on land and longed for the return of the glory of the underwater kingdoms.

However, they weren’t foolish.

Orm made it sound simple, but uniting the Seven Kingdoms was no easy feat.

Who would lead?

While the kings pondered, King Nereus suddenly spoke up, “King Orm, we can discuss the humans later. For now, it’s clear you are not fit to sit on the throne of Atlantis.”

His words stunned the other two kings.

What was happening?

Why the sudden internal dispute?

Wasn’t King Nereus supposed to be Orm’s future father-in-law? What was going on?

Orm’s face darkened instantly. “King Nereus, what do you mean? Are you questioning the legitimacy of my rule? Do you know the consequences of such accusations?”

“Calm down, King Orm,” Nereus said with a smile. “I’ve received some news. It turns out you have an older brother. According to the laws of Atlantis, he is the rightful heir to the throne.”

The other two kings were shocked.

Orm had an older brother?

They had never heard of this!

Orm’s expression became grim as he shot a furious glance at King Nereus, deeply puzzled.

Their families were about to be united by marriage. Why would Nereus suddenly undermine him?

What benefit could Nereus possibly gain from this?

“You mean that half-breed bastard? He’s the disgrace of Atlantis. What right does he have to become king?” Orm said coldly.

In the shadows, Arthur was fuming, his face turning purple with rage.

If it weren’t for his mother holding him back, Arthur would have already charged out to fight Orm!

“Whether he’s qualified or not isn’t up to you,” King Nereus calmly replied.

“Not up to me?” Orm sneered. “Then who decides?”

Nereus smiled. “The Sea God does.”

At these words, the entire hall fell into stunned silence.

“The Sea God?”

The other two kings exclaimed in surprise.

The Seven Kingdoms of the ocean all shared one belief—the worship of the Sea God.

They knew that the Sea God was not just a myth but had actually existed.

The trident that King Atlan once wielded was a gift from the Sea God, imbued with immense power.

Even Orm looked shaken.

If the Sea God had truly returned and named Arthur the King of Atlantis, Orm wouldn’t be able to resist. He was just a king, and no one could stand against the faith of an entire ocean.

King Nereus raised his voice, “Now, I ask everyone to pay their highest respects and welcome the arrival of the Sea God!”

With that, King Nereus was the first to bow deeply in a particular direction.

The other two kings and Orm couldn’t help but look in the same direction.

Moments later, a figure emerged from the shadows, stepping into the light.

When the three kings saw the trident in his hand, they gasped.

They recognized it immediately. This man held the true trident!

But then, as they got a better look at the figure holding the trident, they were all taken aback.

It was an Eastern man with black hair and dark eyes…

Since when did the Sea God look like this?

“Hahahaha!”

Orm suddenly burst into laughter. “This is the Sea God? King Nereus, have you lost your mind?”
