**Chapter 82: A Breakthrough to Official Knight, Finally an Increase in Talent**

Surrounded by ice elements, Anna descended slowly, and in that moment, all eyes—including Thor’s—were drawn to her.

Anna looked stunning.

Her delicate features, her flawlessly beautiful face, her icy blue attire, and her pointed ears were enough to capture anyone’s attention.

“Master, do I look good?” Anna asked with a soft smile, her whole demeanor filled with joy. “This is the real me!”

“Congratulations!” Thor snapped back to reality and nodded with a smile.

“Hehe, this time it’s all thanks to you, Master,” Anna giggled, her voice playful. “And, Master, Anna has a gift for you too!”

“A gift?” Thor’s expression showed confusion as he instinctively asked.

At that very moment, as Anna spoke, a pale blue magic circle lit up beneath her feet. Simultaneously, another similar circle appeared beneath Thor.

“What is this?” Thor’s heart skipped a beat as he instinctively prepared to react. But Anna’s gentle power flowed into him, and it felt as if his entire body was submerged in a warm ocean.

Above them, the ice spirit danced playfully. Around them, countless ice elements began to weave together.

Thor could feel a surge of energy welling up within him, flowing into his limbs and throughout his entire body. His life energy began to rapidly increase.

Previously, Thor had already reached the peak of an apprentice knight, almost ready to break through to an official knight. But he expected that it would take at least another year before he could achieve that breakthrough.

However, at this moment, as his life energy surged, his life seed began to solidify.

Cold energy enveloped it, and the once-illusive life seed gradually took form. At the same time, a more powerful burst of life energy erupted from within him.

Boom!

The surrounding snowstorm whirled upward as Thor’s aura changed dramatically.

“Is this…?”

“A breakthrough?”

“Master is breaking through!”

The dozen or so official knights initially seemed confused, but their eyes soon widened in shock. Thor’s aura had clearly reached the level of an official knight.

And not just at the initial level.

As Thor’s life energy continued to surge, his aura increased even further. The life energy from the life fruit he had consumed earlier, stored within him all this time, also erupted at this moment.

His aura continued to grow, and his life seed expanded and strengthened.

Official knight—initial stage.

Official knight—mid-stage.

Official knight—late stage.

Official knight—peak stage.

Boom! A vast wave of life energy surged through him, and with it, a cold aura spread outward, freezing the ground beneath him in layers of ice.

Anna had signed a symbiotic contract with the ice spirit and then entered a second contract with Thor, causing the spirit’s power to flow into both Anna and Thor. This altered Thor’s body, transforming his natural abilities.

His original talent began to evolve.

His innate gift was rising, and even his life energy began to change.

Within the magic circle, countless ice elements swirled and gradually entered Thor’s body. At some point, Thor’s eyes had closed.

The nearby knights, sensing this powerful transformation, instinctively moved to give Thor space and guard him.

Night soon fell, and the sky became dotted with stars.

As the stars sparkled above, Thor finally opened his eyes.

At that moment, his once-golden eyes had transformed into a deep ice-blue. Ice elements now swirled around him, just as they had around Anna earlier, and his aura had stabilized at the peak of an official knight—just a step away from becoming a great knight.

More importantly, as previously mentioned, Thor’s knightly potential had undergone a profound transformation. His talent now rivaled, if not surpassed, that of Raine.

His life energy had also begun to contain traces of ice elements.

But the benefits didn’t end there.

One of the most significant advantages was longevity.

Humans typically lived for no more than a century, and unless they reached the rank of Holy Knight, even Sky Knights had difficulty living beyond 120 years.

However, elves naturally lived for millennia.

Because of Anna’s contract with a Nature Spirit, even as a half-elf, her lifespan had greatly extended. No one knew exactly how long she would live now.

Through their shared life bond, Thor could also feel that his own lifespan had significantly lengthened.

A thousand years, two thousand years—perhaps even longer.

This time, Thor had gained unimaginable benefits.

Even he hadn’t anticipated just how valuable this experience would be.

Talent, longevity, strength—these were exactly what he needed most.

Talent was essential for progress; one could only go so far with enough talent. Longevity and strength were even more critical in the harsh northern province, especially with the imminent threat of the minotaur horde.

“Thank you,” Thor said softly, exhaling as he calmed his emotions. He glanced at Anna, his voice filled with quiet gratitude.

“This is Anna’s gift to you, Master!” Anna winked playfully, her smile bright.

Thor smiled and nodded, saying no more.

“Anna, Anna, I’m going to rest now!” The ice spirit, now visibly tired, floated down and nestled itself into Anna’s forehead. As it disappeared, a diamond-shaped, pale blue crystal appeared in the center of Anna’s brow, and the ice elements around her grew even denser.

“Let’s go,” Thor said quietly. “It’s time to head back. The Maine River Valley must be in chaos by now.”

Anna nodded in agreement.

The group quickly gathered their belongings and began their journey home.

Meanwhile, back in the Maine River Valley, Thor’s prediction was proving true—chaos had indeed erupted.

In just a few short days, more reports had arrived, confirming that the minotaur horde was drawing ever closer to the valley.

If there had been any lingering hopes that the horde might change course, those were now gone. Everyone was certain that the minotaurs were heading straight for the Maine River Valley.

Although the nobles and landowners had initially resolved to stay and defend their lands, and although Thor had given them some reassurance, several days had passed without any sign of Thor. The minotaurs were nearing, and panic was setting in.

Even the noble lords were beginning to waver, and the lesser lords were fleeing in greater numbers.

In fact, by yesterday, several pioneer lords had already abandoned their territories, and today, even more had followed suit.

Still, there was no sign of Thor’s return.

This turn of events left the three noble lords increasingly anxious.
