Chapter 82: Pay for Your Sins, Demon!

*Boom!*

A vortex of flames erupted, engulfing both combatants in the intense battle.

This was Kyojuro Rengoku’s secret art, a powerful technique with the ability to drive away even gods and demons.

However, when the dust settled, the yellow-patterned Nichirin blade had not managed to sever the enemy’s head.

Akaza, having unleashed his full power, blocked Rengoku’s ultimate technique with just one hand. If not for his other arm being severed, Rengoku’s fate would have likely mirrored the original story’s outcome.

The two fighters clashed with everything they had, but neither emerged victorious.

“Hahaha,” Akaza laughed wildly, his face full of arrogance. “I can feel the poison fading. In the end, I will win.”

Indeed, Fang Bo could see that Akaza’s severed arm was slowly regenerating.

In a few seconds, the fatal injuries inflicted earlier would heal completely, rendering all their efforts so far futile.

Dairen was exhausted, his mental energy depleted, leaving him nearly powerless. Fang Bo had been critically injured by a fierce kick and was unable to rise.

It seemed like they had reached a dead end.

“It’s over,” Akaza said as he locked Rengoku’s Nichirin blade in place with his body, preventing him from withdrawing it. He raised his fully healed arm, about to say something heartfelt to his opponent.

At that crucial moment, a figure flashed into the battlefield like lightning.

“Looks like I’m not too late.”

With her signature tone, Shinobu Kocho entered the fray, her slender blade piercing straight toward the back of Upper Moon Three.

**Dance of the Bee Sting: True Flutter!**

Seeing this, Rengoku unleashed his full power, intent on decapitating the demon together with his comrade.

Even surrounded by the two Pillars, Akaza remained unfazed. With a swift kick, he unleashed a barrage of powerful attacks like a storm of shooting stars.

**Destructive Death: Leg Style – Crown Splitting Moon Kick!**

The two Pillars were unable to dodge in time, both suffering severe injuries. The terrifying power of an Upper Moon left everyone in shock.

“This guy is way too powerful,” a familiar voice called from behind.

The two fallen reincarnators turned to see the sorcerer, Ali, watching the battle with a solemn expression.

Earlier, Ali had encountered Shinobu Kocho, who had been chasing after the train. Seeing that Ali was too slow, the Insect Pillar had grabbed him and carried him along, or else he’d still be running.

Seeing the miserable state of his comrades, Ali took a deep breath, knowing he had to give it his all.

“Wait a moment,” Fang Bo stopped his teammate, his eyes cold as he looked ahead. “Let the poison spread throughout his body first.”

On Akaza’s shoulder, a wound remained unhealed, the work of Shinobu’s newly developed “New Wisteria Poison.”

This poison, derived from Jorogumo’s venom sacs, was several times more potent, capable of killing a demon in a short period. Even an Upper Moon could only delay the poison’s effects, with the wound on his shoulder as evidence.

Akaza finally sensed something was wrong. The feeling that had faded earlier was now returning, and the rate of cellular necrosis was accelerating.

He quickly pinpointed the wound on his shoulder and glared at the smiling woman. “Did you do this?”

“Yes,” Shinobu replied with a gentle smile, twirling her thin sword. “Don’t move, or the poison will circulate even faster through your blood.”

With that, she darted forward, her sword strikes leaving nothing but afterimages.

**Dance of the Dragonfly: Compound Eye Hexagon!**

The new poison was potent, but it wasn’t enough. To ensure the death of an Upper Moon demon, they needed to inject as much as possible.

Shinobu’s lightning-fast strikes caused six small explosions of blood on Akaza’s body, but the damage was insignificant. He didn’t even bother to dodge.

“After all, she’s just a woman,” Akaza said arrogantly. He had no interest in fighting her and wouldn’t even consider consuming a woman. This was the opposite of Douma, which explained their poor relationship.

Since she attacked with a flurry of strikes, he would respond in kind.

In an instant, Akaza’s fists became a blur, launching eight powerful punches from all directions at Shinobu.

**Destructive Death: Eight Layered Demon Core!**

Each punch hit like a cannon, and the Insect Pillar spat blood from the severe injuries, nearly losing consciousness on the spot.

Akaza cast her a cold glance, then turned to see an “Inferno Tiger” leaping toward him.

“You’re out of tricks, aren’t you?”

As dawn approached, Akaza no longer wanted to drag things out.

Ignoring the Flame Pillar’s slash, he gathered his power, releasing hundreds of powerful projectiles around him.

**Destructive Death: Final Form – Chaotic Silver-Blue Light!**

Both Shinobu and Rengoku were struck, blood splattering from countless wounds. The former couldn’t even stand anymore, lying motionless on the ground.

Rengoku fared slightly better, staying upright through sheer willpower, but it was clear he could no longer fight.

“If you refuse to become a demon, I’ll kill you at your peak. I hate seeing talented warriors grow old and wither away.”

Just as Akaza was about to deliver the killing blow, three golden figures suddenly appeared beside him.

The Three Giant Brothers had arrived. Big Head immediately grabbed Akaza, while Licker opened its mouth and aimed for the demon’s lower body.

“Pathetic.” Without even using martial arts, Akaza effortlessly tore off Big Head’s arm. Then, with a stomp, he crushed Licker’s head like a rotten tomato.

Clearly, Akaza was disgusted by their attempts and ended Licker’s life in the most brutal way possible.

The remaining Giant Brother, Tutu, couldn’t stop him either, but they weren’t there to kill.

“Plunder!”

Fang Bo placed his hand on Tutu, rapidly recovering health at a rate of 4 points per second.

Meanwhile, Ali used the Giants as cover, quietly approaching Akaza.

Feeling the immense pressure from the demon, Ali gritted his teeth, pushed all doubts aside, and prepared to unleash his ultimate attack once more.

Before the strike, Fang Bo tossed a Nagasaki cake to him, replenishing Ali’s depleted mental energy.

With the two Pillars incapacitated, the only way to kill Akaza was through Ali’s cursed technique.

Fully aware of the urgency, Ali flawlessly unleashed his signature move: **Black Flash**.

When Akaza saw the black lightning enveloping Ali, for the first time, he felt the presence of death.

In desperation, Upper Moon Three could only attempt a counterattack.

*Boom!*

Akaza’s resisting arm exploded on impact, but it was still better than losing his life.

Ali’s newfound super move wasn’t enough to kill Akaza, whose Combat Aura Perception warned him just in time.

“Die, you pest!” Akaza, not taking any chances, furiously kicked Ali away, sending him flying.

He couldn’t afford another hit like that. If Ali struck again, Akaza might truly fall today.

Thankfully, the worst didn’t happen. The enemy who had unleashed the terrifying punch was no longer able to stand, allowing Akaza to breathe a sigh of relief.

But just as one opponent fell, another stood up.

Draining Tutu’s life force and eating a charcoal-grilled piece of Sea King meat, Fang Bo restored his health to full.

With a slight movement of his left index finger, the next second, the headless puppet dropped from the sky.

Using the momentum of the fall, its arm blades pierced Akaza’s body, pinning Upper Moon Three to the ground.

“As expected,” Fang Bo said calmly, exuding an air of confidence.

He knew a little about Shinobu’s poison. By now, it had likely weakened Akaza’s abilities across the board.

If this had been Akaza at full strength, the puppet wouldn’t have been able to pierce him at all—it would have been sensed and destroyed long before.

“What… what did you do to my body?!” Akaza turned angrily toward Shinobu.

He realized he had severely underestimated this demon hunter.

Barely managing to fling the puppet aside, Akaza turned to see a black gun barrel aimed directly at him.

*Bang!*

[You have activated Ammo Master. 2 points of mental energy consumed. Your next bullet will deal additional holy damage.]

[Your Holy Bullet deals 24+8 points of holy damage to Akaza, triggering the exorcism effect. The target’s body will now become more fragile.]

“Argh!!!”

The burning holy light caused Akaza to scream in pain, and as he realized what had happened, an overwhelming sense of humiliation washed over him.

Seeing Fang Bo’s calm expression, Akaza’s rage nearly exploded. Before his enemy could retreat, Akaza unleashed a flurry of furious punches, overwhelming Fang Bo.

**Destructive Death: Disorder!**

[You take 18+10+12+10+17 points of normal damage from the enemy’s Disorder combo.]

Despite losing half his health in one go, Fang Bo smiled maniacally. “Your punches are getting weaker, Akaza.”

The headless puppet charged again, only to be kicked away, losing most of its durability.

Taking advantage of the moment, Fang Bo sprinted forward. As he reached the enemy, the cooldown on his Dragon Cavalry was almost up.

The bullet hit the enemy, and as expected, Fang Bo was struck again by Akaza’s iron fist, bringing his health dangerously close to the critical threshold.

To prevent Akaza from using his Combat Aura Perception to dodge more effectively, Fang Bo had no choice but to engage in close-quarters combat, exchanging damage with the demon.

Both sides were enduring, waiting to see who would falter first.

As Akaza’s entire body ignited with holy flames, Fang Bo commanded his puppet to charge forward at full speed. He saw the Flame Pillar, Rengoku Kyojuro, rushing in with a crazed look, sword ready to strike.

“It all ends here, demon!!!”

The combination of poison and holy flames left Akaza with no strength to resist.

In the end, the puppet’s arm blades struck Akaza’s shoulder, rendering him defenseless, while Rengoku’s flaming sword cleaved his head off in one swift motion.

Upper Moon Three, dead!
