GROIKTP Chapter 588

This entry is part 511 of 534 in the series Global Reincarnation: Only i Know the Plot

“It’s a Category 4 Kaiju!”

The technician’s voice drew everyone’s attention in the control room.

Before anyone could say anything, the technician suddenly exclaimed, “It… it’s dead!”

Everyone was stunned!

That Category 4 Kaiju had just appeared, hadn’t it?

And now, just like that, it was gone after a single encounter?

Though everyone knew the man was strong, his sheer brutality at this level was… terrifying!

While they were all in awe, their hearts were filled with hope.

With someone that powerful, the plan was sure to succeed!

Deep in the ocean.

Chen Ye retracted his fist.

He gazed calmly at the scattered remains, as if it wasn’t him who had just killed a Kaiju with one punch.

Then, he continued carrying the EVA nuke toward the entrance.

He remembered the storyline: there were two Category 4 Kaiju guarding the entrance—“Raiju” and “Scunner.”

The one he just killed was Raiju.

Scunner hadn’t shown up yet.

Chen Ye didn’t bother looking for it.

If it dared to challenge him, he’d simply kill it.

A few moments later.

Finally.

Chen Ye arrived at the entrance of the Kaiju’s nest.

His arrival seemed to stir some massive creature deep within the entrance, waking it up.

The next moment.

A colossal figure slowly rose, emerging before Chen Ye.

It was an enormous Kaiju, its body as vast as an interstellar ship, much larger than any regular Kaiju or Jaeger.

Its head was triangular and upside down, giving it a terrifying and sinister appearance. Its body was covered in rock-like, muscular flesh, exuding sheer power.

This Kaiju had three tails, each ending in sharp, spear-like tips, greatly enlarged compared to any regular weapon.

At first glance, Chen Ye immediately recognized the creature.

It was the only Category 5 Kaiju from the original plot, nicknamed “Slattern,” regarded as the ultimate Kaiju.

As soon as the Category 5 Kaiju “Slattern” appeared, Chen Ye’s Death Sense triggered a warning.

This time, the warning was much stronger.

It meant that Slattern’s attack power was significant enough to pose a real threat to Chen Ye.

At the human military base.

“It’s a Category 5 Kaiju! A Category 5 Kaiju has appeared!”

“My God! It’s twice the size of the other Kaiju, nearly 200 meters long…”

The technician’s shout cast a heavy atmosphere over the control room.

A Category 5 Kaiju.

None of the people present had ever seen one before, let alone heard of one.

But it was universally understood that the larger a Kaiju was, the more destructive it became.

And a Kaiju nearly 200 meters tall?

Godzilla would look like a child next to it…

Just thinking about facing such a Kaiju themselves filled them with hopelessness.

Now.

All their hopes rested on that one man.

Underwater.

Chen Ye stared expressionlessly at Slattern.

He had seen the movie, knew the plot, and was well aware of the creature’s attack methods.

As long as he was cautious of its three tails, he’d be fine.

“Perfect. The diving suit made from Kaiju hide isn’t secure enough… I’ll use your corpse to clear the path.”

In the original plot.

The entrance to the Kaiju nest was protected by a layer that acted like a biological passcode.

Only Kaiju could pass through it.

Anything else would be blocked.

No time to waste!

Chen Ye dropped the EVA nuke and charged toward Slattern.

Seeing the small human approaching, Slattern didn’t even bother to dodge. Its three tails moved instantly.

*Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!*

Like three enormous spears, they shot toward Chen Ye, tearing through the water with a deafening roar.

The force was so powerful that a small portion of the surrounding water became a vacuum.

This showed just how fast and lethal the tail strikes were.

Chen Ye dodged the first two strikes, but the third tail?

He didn’t manage to avoid it…

Not because Chen Ye wasn’t fast enough.

But because the water resistance was too strong, significantly hindering his movement.

*Thud!*

Slattern’s tail struck Chen Ye, producing a deep, muffled sound.

Chen Ye was thrown back, crashing into the seabed, shattering a section of underwater ruins.

*Cough! Cough!*

Moments later, Chen Ye stood up once more.

Since arriving in this world, this was the first time he had been hit.

But that was all.

Even though Slattern’s attack was incredibly powerful—capable of easily piercing through Jaegers in the original plot—it still couldn’t penetrate Chen Ye’s Armament Haki.

In other words, the strike merely caused a significant impact that made his blood stir.

Chen Ye wasn’t hurt.

His Perfect Level Armament Haki was no joke.

Watching the human rise unharmed, Slattern’s tiny eyes reflected a very human-like look of shock.

It likely hadn’t expected that such a small human could take its attack head-on and remain unscathed…

After all, its tail attack was powerful enough to take down other Category 4 Kaiju!!

*Roar!*

Slattern roared at Chen Ye and charged, its massive maw wide open, clearly intending to swallow him whole.

It wanted to devour the human and use its highly acidic stomach to digest him!

“Idiot!”

Chen Ye snorted coldly. “If you’d kept using your tails, you might’ve given me some trouble. But coming at me head-on? You’re just asking to die…”

As he finished speaking.

Chen Ye activated his ultimate form, “Undying Demon Body”!

Instantly.

A spectral armor covered his body.

His strength multiplied fivefold in an instant.

Then, both Armament Haki and the powers of the Tremor-Tremor Fruit coursed into his fists.

To ensure he killed with one strike, Chen Ye went all out…

Inside the base’s control room.

Seeing the two red dots about to collide, everyone held their breath, fists clenched, praying for Chen Ye’s success.

This was a Category 5 Kaiju.

It had just knocked the man back!

It was also the first time that man had been pushed back by a Kaiju.

Without exaggeration, the outcome of this battle would determine the fate of humanity.

Finally!

On the monitor, the two red dots collided, overlapping…
