RWWOKS Chapter 94

This entry is part 95 of 247 in the series The Reincarnation World Where Only I Know the Storyline

**Chapter 94: The Furious Daki**

By the roadside, Fang Bo retrieved his puppet.

He had spent the entire day traveling to Yoshiwara, and as night fell and the lanterns lit up, he prepared to investigate the Oiran’s secrets.

If he could confirm Daki’s identity, he’d likely trigger the hidden mission of the Yoshiwara arc.

However, just before he could act, he felt a strong sense of being watched.

It was the kind of discomfort you’d feel if someone was peeking under the door while you were using the bathroom—it was incredibly unsettling.

Using his powerful perception, Fang Bo quickly locked onto the group spying on him. Unclear of their intentions, he decided to send his puppet to give them a little scare.

The moment he drew his blades, he was just gauging the reaction of the reincarnator squad. What he saw was a classic setup—warrior, mage, and archer.

If he wasn’t mistaken, the three likely formed a team originating from a fantasy-themed world, not something temporary.

As for which world they came from, it was hard to tell without a closer look.

After all, there were far too many fantasy-themed stories. Even though Fang Bo had referenced countless works in his past life, he couldn’t be familiar with all of them.

“Something simple like *The Rising of the Shield Hero*—I’d recognize that,” Fang Bo mused.

With an unexpected team intruding into his mission area, Fang Bo couldn’t afford to trigger an Upper Moon battle now.

If they struck him at a critical moment, he could easily fall. So before taking action, he needed to neutralize this group.

Fighting them directly was out of the question—he didn’t want to lose merit points or story points. The best solution was to use someone else’s blade.

But whose blade should he use?

Watching the retreating figure of the Oiran “Waranhime,” Fang Bo’s lips curled into a mysterious smile.

This reincarnator team had come to Yoshiwara likely after hearing the rumors of a demon lurking here. From the look of things, they hadn’t locked onto their target yet.

What they didn’t know was that the Oiran, Waranhime, was none other than Daki, the Upper Moon Six demon hidden within the Kyogoku House.

To sustain herself over the long term, Daki regularly changed her identity. With her beauty, no matter how she dressed, she always managed to capture the attention of countless men.

She was the perfect target for Fang Bo’s plan. The lives of three demon slayers would certainly tempt her to act.

As for whether the reincarnators could win against her—that was out of the question. If they trembled at the sight of Fang Bo’s puppet, they stood no chance against Daki.

Even if they had a hidden trump card, they would have forgotten that Gyutaro, Daki’s brother, was still lurking within her.

In a secluded alley, the silhouette of Jorogumo emerged from a six-pointed star.

“Follow them, but make sure they don’t notice,” Fang Bo instructed before straightening his clothes and leisurely walking toward the Kyogoku House.

“Nothing to do today—might as well listen to the Oiran’s music.”

BAM!

The sound of a shattered porcelain bowl echoed as Daki tilted her head, glaring venomously at the maid in front of her.

Whenever she was in a foul mood, Daki often struck such a pose, which meant someone was about to have a very bad day.

This demonic Oiran had a vile personality. No one, including the owner of the Kyogoku House, dared to upset her under normal circumstances.

Yet today, there was someone reckless enough to do so, and it was none other than a timid maid.

Even after being slapped hard, the maid still looked up at Daki, repeating the same three words over and over: “Ugly hag, ugly hag, ugly hag.”

Clearly, the maid was under some kind of control; otherwise, she would never have had the guts to act like this.

Daki didn’t endure the insults because she enjoyed being mistreated; she was simply trying to track down the mastermind who dared to mock her.

After who knows how long, the maid finally snapped out of her trance after repeating “ugly hag” hundreds of times.

The moment she saw the Oiran, she nearly fainted, thinking she had fallen asleep on the job.

Daki, her face dark with fury, interrogated her thoroughly. She soon discovered that the maid had been taken to an inn before losing consciousness.

“Excellent.”

In the maid’s terrified screams, Daki’s sash snaked out, devouring her whole.

Then, smashing through the window, the demon Oiran headed off to deal with the fools who had dared to provoke her.

Seeing this, Fang Bo, who had been enjoying the music downstairs, stood up slowly and calmly began walking in the same direction.

His plan to pit the tiger against the wolf had succeeded. Whether or not Daki realized it, she would never let the reincarnator demon slayer team off the hook.

If he could witness the demon killing firsthand, Fang Bo would be able to claim the hidden mission—a perfect success.

The success of this plan was thanks to Zangao’s hypnosis guidance. Of course, the illusion technique manual Darren had given him had also been incredibly useful.

With Fang Bo’s current mastery of mental power, he could compel an ordinary person to cut off every piece of their own flesh.

If he continued honing his abilities, he might one day become a master illusionist.

Meanwhile, Daki wasted no time and crossed half of Yoshiwara in under two minutes.

Driven by rage, she made no attempt to conceal her aura, which was quickly detected by the ranger in the reincarnator squad.

Inside the quiet inn, the ranger leaped to his feet, drew his bow, and shouted, “We’ve got company!”

The sound of a magic-infused arrow slicing through the air echoed.

“What a joke,” Daki sneered internally.

She had thought it might be one of the Nine Pillars coming for her, but instead, it was just some fool with a bow.

Did they really think such primitive weapons could harm her beautiful body?

Overconfident, Daki didn’t even bother to use her sash and attempted to catch the arrow with her bare hands.

But the moment she touched it, her hand burned, and the arrow pierced her voluptuous body.

“You bastard!” Daki erupted in fury.

Forcing her body to stay upright, she activated her Blood Demon Art. Her sash, alive with movement, whisked her up to the rooftop.

Just as she landed, a figure crashed through the roof.

The man wielded a sword in one hand and a shield in the other. As he slashed with his blade, holy light glimmered with each swing.

He wasn’t a mere warrior but a battle priest who had learned holy light skills.

Why did he dare challenge the rumored Upper Moon demon?

Because each member of their team had specialized methods for dealing with evil beings.

“Holy Light, vanquish the demon!” the battle priest shouted, summoning even more radiant holy light atop the roof.

Though his stats weren’t high, his skills were perfectly suited for enemies like Daki, allowing him to deal massive damage.

Of course, that alone wasn’t enough to kill an Upper Moon demon. The true finisher was the robed mage, who had finally climbed to the rooftop.

He pulled out his crystal ball, summoning a violet thunder spear above his head.

The mage had a unique spellcasting talent, enabling him to absorb energy from the atmosphere to strengthen his attacks.

The longer he charged, the more devastating the final blow would be.

The arrival of an enemy was unexpected, but the change in plans didn’t bother him much. Give him three minutes, and he could unleash a terrifying attack capable of killing even an Upper Moon demon.

From a distance, it looked as if a crescent moon was forming where he stood, a sight that even made Fang Bo pause.

This kind of charging skill wasn’t practical in PVP combat—no reincarnator would just stand there and let their opponent charge up an attack.

But against story characters, especially a hot-headed fool like Daki, it could sometimes work wonders.

Unable to bear the searing pain of the holy light, Daki didn’t want to force her way through the enemy’s defenses.

With no other choice, she had to call on her trump card.

“Brother!”

At first, the robed mage didn’t understand the meaning behind that single cry of “brother.”

But when he noticed something was wrong, the archer’s heart had already been brutally pierced by a scythe.

A clean, swift kill—without even giving him a chance to heal with medicine.

It was only at that moment that the mage realized they had vastly underestimated the difficulty of the Demon Slayer world.

The overwhelming strength of an Upper Moon demon was far beyond what their small team could handle.

In the perilous environment of the Reincarnation Space, a misjudgment often resulted in the total annihilation of the team.

But before death arrived, the robed mage was determined to release one final attack.

If he couldn’t hit the demon behind them, then he’d at least take down that detestable woman.

The violet thunder spear shot forth with a roar, piercing straight through the demon’s neck. However, the expected scene of her turning to ash didn’t happen.

Daki, clutching her head, sat on the ground, staring blankly at everyone.

A few moments later, she couldn’t hold back her tears and began to sob.

The burning pain from the holy light was too much to bear.

In the distance, Fang Bo’s figure slowly faded from sight.

As expected, the squad perished at the hands of the demon siblings.

Unlike other Upper Moons, the only way to kill these two was to sever both their heads at the same time—one without the other wouldn’t work.

Fang Bo had no problem dealing with Daki, but dealing with Gyutaro would require additional help.

As for the hidden mission, it was successfully triggered the moment Daki made her move.

[Reincarnator No. 14552 has triggered the hidden mission: Legend of the Demon of Yoshiwara!]

[Mission description: There are rumors that a demon has been lurking in this town, causing countless deaths over the last century.]

[Mission objective: Eliminate the demon.]

[Hint: She may not be as simple as she appears.]

Now that he had solid information, he could use the crow to relay the intel.

Judging by the distance, reinforcements would likely arrive by tomorrow evening.

Once this mission was over, Fang Bo planned to use the attribute points he earned to further boost his constitution, aiming to raise his health as much as possible before the final battle.

He checked into an inn far from the demons and had a peaceful night’s sleep.

The next day, Fang Bo roamed around Yoshiwara, hoping to trigger another hidden mission.

Unfortunately, nothing came of it by the day’s end.

As night quickly fell once more, reinforcements from the headquarters finally arrived in town.

“Yo, the glamorous me has come to assist you!”

The arrival was a handsome man wearing a bizarre diamond headpiece. From his appearance, you’d think he was out for a casual excursion.

This man was none other than Tengen Uzui, the Sound Hashira—the absolute key player in the Yoshiwara arc’s battle against the Upper Moon demons.

Now that all the players had arrived, it was time to kick off the final showdown.
