Chapter 101: Facing Doma

“Finally dealt with it.”

Placing the puppet in front of him, Fang Bo gently stroked a few of its damaged spots with a bit of heartache.

Faced with multiple enemies, he and Jorogumo couldn’t form a multi-directional suppression. As a result, Yoriichi Type Zero had to bear the brunt of the attacks.

Fortunately, its attack power was off the charts, which reduced many of the risks that followed. If it were one of those headless puppets, it would’ve been smashed to pieces by the enemies long ago.

“Too bad though, its weapons are specifically designed against demon-type creatures. They won’t deal this kind of damage to other enemies.”

At that moment, Fang Bo thought, if there’s a chance in the future, he must visit more worlds like this one.

In fact, “demon” is just a broad term. The real understanding should be the ability to counter evil spirits.

Like the monsters in Onmyoji and Inuyasha, the cursed spirits in Jujutsu Kaisen, or the demons in Yu Yu Hakusho and Blue Exorcist, and so on.

The categories are vast, and by then, these weapons could still deliver top-tier results.

It’s a pity he doesn’t know how to use Sun Breathing, otherwise Yoriichi Type Zero’s attack power could be even higher.

“In the short term, I probably won’t focus on increasing my strength attribute.”

Even though his constitution had reached the peak of this world, the next attribute he should improve would likely be agility.

Don’t forget, Fang Bo has the divine skill of “degradation,” but due to his current turtle-like speed, he hasn’t had a chance to use it.

If agility could be improved, the help it would provide in battles would be immeasurable.

“Maybe by then, I could fight the enemies myself with a blade in hand.”

Walking along the road, Fang Bo kept thinking about his next enhancement strategy.

The recovery technique still needed upgrading—who knows what special abilities might unlock in the next phase? Even if it just improves life absorption efficiency, that would be quite good.

As for shikigami summoning, once Jorogumo becomes a follower, this skill will automatically disappear.

Will the consumed resources be refunded?

Not a chance. Speaking of this, the Onmyoji lady didn’t look too pleased back then.

Glancing at the beauty spider walking beside him, Fang Bo knew that no matter which Upper Moon they faced next, after the battle, she would be able to complete her fated mission.

Completing her fate doesn’t mean she can immediately become a follower. To successfully convert her, a considerable amount of merit points needs to be paid.

Fang Bo certainly wouldn’t refuse to pay for this. For that reason, he decided that his next destination would be to check out the so-called space wars.

Ryuuna also participated in a space battlefield once, and accumulated enough merit points to convert a follower.

Before entering, it was confirmed that this battlefield was in Tokyo Ghoul. Who knows if next time it will be a world more familiar to him.

As Fang Bo walked forward, he suddenly stopped in his tracks. His sensing ability was alerting him—a powerful figure had appeared.

Soon, a familiar figure emerged from around the corner.

“Oh my, Jason-san, you’re still alive, how wonderful.”

Shinobu Kocho landed lightly, her face adorned with a smiling expression as she looked at the man.

But upon closer inspection, one could notice a hint of anxiety in her eyes, along with some indescribable fear.

Fang Bo understood that the woman had already steeled herself for death, determined to slay the powerful Upper Moon Two.

If he followed her, it wouldn’t be long before they encountered the second-ranked Upper Moon.

“Speaking of which, Doma’s two fans seem quite interesting.” Fang Bo’s thoughts clearly took a turn.

If he could loot the enemy’s equipment, then Yoriichi Type Zero’s weapon parts would finally be complete.

Those were two golden iron fans, their edges sharp like blades. At the very least, they wouldn’t be inferior to Gyutaro’s bloodsickles. There might even be some powerful equipment effects accompanying them.

At that time, Yoriichi Type Zero’s attack power would reach an entirely new level. The thought alone made Fang Bo’s heart race.

Noticing Shinobu Kocho’s curious gaze, Fang Bo immediately offered to accompany her.

Considering the characteristics of the Wisteria Flower poison, she nodded in agreement.

“Let’s go together, but there’s one thing I need to make clear first.”

Shinobu then expressed her resolve—she planned to use herself as bait, injecting Doma with 700 times the lethal dose of Wisteria Flower poison.

Fang Bo didn’t object; he simply said in a calm voice, “I admire your determination, but let’s hold off on that until you’re sure we really can’t kill the enemy.”

He silenced her impending protest with a single sentence.

“The real threat isn’t Doma. I hope you remember that.”

No matter how strong Doma was, he couldn’t match Kokushibo, let alone Muzan. If someone had to die, Fang Bo would rather Muzan be the one to devour Shinobu.

“The Demon King may not even want to devour me.” Shinobu shook her head, still determined in her resolve.

Because she understood the enemy, she was able to devise the Wisteria Flower strategy. If Doma dared to eat her, he would inevitably meet his end.

Of course, the poison’s effectiveness required some assistance. Ideally, the enemy would be engaged in constant combat, which is why she decided to team up with the man beside her.

Seeing her stubborn persistence, Fang Bo didn’t push further. Words meant little when compared to facing the threat head-on.

Once they took down the despicable Doma, there would be plenty of time to make new plans.

After about five minutes of walking, Fang Bo sensed the enemy’s presence.

Pushing open the wooden door in front of them, the two stepped into a courtyard.

Standing on an arch bridge was Upper Moon Two, wearing a hat symbolizing the Eternal Paradise Cult, as he leaned down to feast on a young woman.

“Welcome, welcome.”

Casually wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth, Doma smiled and waved at the two, greeting them as if they were old acquaintances. “I didn’t expect to be so lucky, meeting two powerful individuals at once.”

Then, his gaze shifted toward Fang Bo. “You must be the Tenth Pillar. It’s impressive you managed to kill Akaza-sama, but you may not know, he was my best friend.”

“As for you—”

He inserted his fingers into his temple, stirring them to forcibly extract memories. Soon, he found the memories regarding Shinobu Kocho.

“I remember now. You and your sister are both very powerful.”

With that, Doma suddenly smiled and raised his arm, blocking his face with his golden fan.

Bang!

With a gunshot, a bullet from a Dragoon collided with the fan.

The bullet, carrying immense force, failed to shatter the fan’s defense, a testament to the enemy’s strength being far greater than it appeared.

“You really have no manners. I was in the middle of a conversation.”

Ignoring the enemy’s complaint, Fang Bo casually sent over a scan, wanting to see the specifics of the opponent’s abilities.

[Doma (Upper Moon Two)]

[Attack Tendency: Medium]

[Attribute Focus: Mental, Perception, Strength]

[Traits: High-Speed Regeneration, Blood Dance Ice Crystals]

[Threat Assessment: Extremely Dangerous]

High-Speed Regeneration: Can rapidly restore health.

Blood Dance Ice Crystals: Has the ability to freeze blood, adding ice-elemental damage to combat techniques.

As someone whose combat prowess surpasses that of Akaza, Doma’s mental, perception, and strength attributes overwhelmingly suppressed Fang Bo.

This wasn’t surprising, but what he didn’t expect was that the enemy didn’t seem particularly eager to attack him.

Maybe it was because he was a man, or perhaps Doma was just lazy.

*Fang of the Dance · True Strike!*

The thin Nichirin sword shot forward, easily piercing through the enemy’s eye.

At that moment, Shinobu Kocho’s expression turned grim. She could finally confirm that Doma was indeed the demon who killed her sister.

Facing an enemy with whom she shared an irreconcilable hatred, she had no interest in exchanging meaningless words.

“Let’s go.” Fang Bo controlled his puppet to charge forward, each strike targeting Doma’s vital points.

The battle entered an intense state from the very beginning.

Meanwhile, on a long staircase, another fierce battle had just ended.

A weary doctor sheathed his scalpel, allowing the blood to soak through his white coat.

Beside the steps in front of him, a reincarnator from the Twelve Kizuki faction had already met their death.

For the doctor, killing was a trivial matter, but the enemy’s final threat before dying lingered in his mind.

Reincarnators possessed certain tools that could alter the fates of story characters. Before dying, the opponent had threatened him, saying that if he continued killing, the Demon Slayer Corps was bound to fail.

The doctor wasn’t one to show mercy to enemies, but he was quite intrigued by what the opponent had said.

Seeing no enemies around, he decided to delve deeper into the Infinity Castle, to see if he could find Muzan, the Demon King, who was healing his wounds.

“Heh, seems like you’re still afraid of dying.”

“Cut the crap. Let’s deal with the enemies first.”

“Why not just let me devour the Demon King? I bet he’d taste incredible.”

The familiar bickering between his multiple personalities began again, but the doctor, as if he hadn’t heard a thing, calmly walked deeper into the Infinity Castle.

“Lightning, come forth!”

The staff unleashed a dazzling flash of lightning, instantly wiping out a large group of demons.

After clearing the surrounding area, Ali was quite satisfied as he inspected his new weapon. “As expected of an epic treasure, the destructive power is really impressive.”

Black Flash may have been powerful, but it couldn’t be relied upon as a regular combat technique, so this equipment had arrived at the perfect time.

The Infinity Castle was teeming with demons, as if they could never be fully exterminated. The sorcerer had a feeling that Muzan might have gathered all the demons in the world here.

Even with the Nine Pillars being as strong as they were, they found themselves locked in fierce battles.

Every second that passed gave Muzan more time to dilute the poison. If they weren’t so tied up, the Pillars would’ve long since chopped off the Demon King’s head.

“Maybe I should give it a try.”

Ali was eager to find out if the mighty Demon King could withstand his ultimate attack.

Just as he was about to put his plan into action, Ali turned around and saw a man with long, crimson sideburns and a ponytail.

The man wore a purple kimono with a snakeskin pattern and had a long sword strapped to his waist. Six eyes stared intently at the sorcerer, Ali.

The newcomer was none other than the strongest Upper Moon—Kokushibo!
