- In Marvel: I Start by Marrying Scarlett Witch [Complete]
- MWM Chapter 428
“Hand over Vision’s body obediently, and then report yourself to your superiors, confessing everything you’ve done in violation of the rules over these past years!”
Under the control of the Phantom Emperor Fist, Leo commanded Tyler Hayward as he stood up.
Hayward, now fully under Leo’s mental control, immediately nodded with a respectful expression.
“Yes, I’ll take you to retrieve Vision’s body right away.”
Wanda, standing nearby, was momentarily stunned.
She had thought Leo would rely on his persuasive skills to convince Hayward, but instead, he had simply taken control of the man’s mind.
“Sometimes, you can’t be too rigid in how you handle things, especially when dealing with villains. You have to be more ruthless than they are to save more good people. Understand?”
Seeing her reaction, Leo casually offered some advice.
Wanda’s powers were already among the strongest in this world, but if she could be more flexible and less rigid, like Steve’s pure-hearted goodness, she would have an easier life.
Steve’s kind-hearted nature required absolute conviction to maintain, and it was easy for others, influenced by external factors, to fall from extreme goodness into extreme evil.
Although Wanda didn’t fully understand Leo’s reasoning, she still nodded. She sensed his good intentions and knew that his actions were to help her quickly reclaim Vision’s body and bring him back to life.
Now that Tyler Hayward, the director of S.W.O.R.D., was under Leo’s control, everything became much easier.
After retrieving Vision’s body, which had been disassembled into several parts for research, Leo transported the nearly furious Wanda back to the Avengers’ base and began the process of bringing Vision back to life in the laboratory.
The remaining Avengers who hadn’t yet left also gathered to witness the event.
“Reparo!”
With Vision’s disassembled parts laid out, Leo waved his hand, and the Reparo spell began to take effect. The pieces of Vision’s body started to reassemble themselves.
Leo had studied the Reparo spell in depth, realizing that its essence was not mere restoration—it was a form of time reversal.
In essence, Reparo was a time-reversing spell specifically for inanimate objects, capable of rewinding an object’s time to a previous state, which explained why it could restore anything to its original condition.
Leo theorized that, with further research, the spell could evolve to affect living beings, potentially becoming a powerful offensive technique that could rewind an enemy’s time, reducing them to a baby—or even a sperm or egg.
The thought of such a technique was exhilarating.
However, this involved complex time laws, and Leo knew he couldn’t achieve it on his own. He hoped the researchers in the Wizarding Empire would make breakthroughs in their studies.
For now, Leo used Reparo to rewind Vision’s body to the moment five years ago when Thanos ripped out the Mind Stone.
In the blink of an eye, under the amazed gazes of the onlookers, Vision’s body was fully restored to its original state—minus the Mind Stone in his forehead.
Without hesitation, Leo took out the Mind Stone and placed it into the empty slot in Vision’s head.
A surge of immense psychic energy erupted from the Mind Stone, interacting with Vision’s body. Slowly, Vision’s form floated into the air as his eyes opened.
“Vision!”
Wanda’s voice broke, and her eyes reddened with emotion.
Hearing her, Vision descended, his expression confused as he asked, “Wanda? What’s happening? Why is everyone here? Wasn’t I already dead? Where is Thanos?”
“Side quest completed. Please check the mission log for your reward.”
Hearing the prompt in his mind, Leo smiled.
After completing the side quest and receiving the reward for reviving Vision, Leo now had to wait two weeks for the quantum tunnel and Pym Particles to be ready.
During those two weeks, he didn’t sit idle.
First, he took care of this world’s Agatha, seizing the Darkhold to prevent Wanda from being influenced in the future and becoming the Scarlet Witch, which might negatively impact his own Wanda back in 2012.
Second, he discreetly gathered a wealth of advanced technology from this world.
He acquired Tony’s nano-suit technology, Dr. Pym’s advanced shrinking and enlarging tech, and most importantly, the technology behind the quantum tunnel.
Armed with this knowledge, he planned to return to 2012, pass the information to his subordinates and the Aog Group, and have them replicate everything quickly.
Leo never underestimated the power of technology—after all, even with his strength, he couldn’t traverse different timelines without assistance.
Though he could perform enlargement and shrinking spells, they were nowhere near as exaggerated as the effects of Pym Particles.
Finally, he tested entering both the Wizarding and Ninja worlds from within the 2023 timeline and found that it had no impact.
Thus, no matter the timeline or parallel universe, it didn’t affect his access to the small world.
Two weeks passed, and in the newly constructed quantum tunnel at the Avengers’ base, Leo stood with Captain America, Steve Rogers, holding Mjolnir and the case containing the Infinity Stones. They waved their final goodbyes to the Avengers.
“See you in five seconds, Capsicle.”
Tony, holding his daughter, waved at Steve and pressed the button to activate the quantum machine.
A flash of light later, Leo and Steve disappeared into the quantum tunnel.
Moments later, in 2012 on a small farm in New York, Leo and Steve reappeared. In this timeline, only five seconds had passed since they left.
“I’ll leave the Time Stone to you to return to the Ancient One. I need to go to 2014 and 1970 to return the Soul Stone, Power Stone, and Space Stone.”
Opening the case and handing Leo the Time Stone, Steve smiled and activated his time-travel device, waving as he vanished from the timeline.
“Goodbye, Mr. Leo.”
“More like farewell for good.”
Leo murmured to himself as he held the Time Stone, watching Steve disappear.
He knew that this version of Captain America would choose to live out the rest of his life after finishing the dance he had missed. By the time Steve returned to the main timeline, he would be an old man.
“Now, let’s return the Time Stone.”
In a flash, Leo used Apparition to appear at the door of the New York Sanctum.
As he pushed the door open, the Ancient One stood waiting, as if she had known he would come.
“It seems their plan succeeded.”
“Ancient One, it seems nothing escapes your insight.”
Leo smiled as he nodded, then handed the Time Stone back to her.
