RWWOKS Chapter 104

This entry is part 105 of 247 in the series The Reincarnation World Where Only I Know the Storyline

**Chapter 104: Demon King, Muzan Kibutsuji!**

Meanwhile, on the other side, Darren resumed his movements after a brief rest.

His mental strength recovered at a rate of about 1 point every ten minutes. If it weren’t for the special supplements, he might not have been able to get back on his feet to fight.

Now, within Infinity Castle, only Nakime and Kokushibo remained to be dealt with. Since many forces were likely gathered around Upper Moon One, Darren decided to help take down the other Upper Moon.

And so, Darren set out to search for Nakime, eventually running into Yushiro, who had the same objective.

The two quickly found their target, and during the battle, they began gaining the upper hand.

“It seems like the world quest is almost complete,” Darren thought optimistically.

However, reality was far from what he imagined.

In another corner of Infinity Castle, an intense battle had reached its boiling point.

*Moon Breathing, First Form: Dark Moon, Evening Palace!*

A powerful slash erupted, leaving everyone present in awe of the enemy’s terrifying strength.

Especially Ali, the sorcerer, who had previously encountered Kokushibo. If the Mist Pillar hadn’t shown up in time, Ali would have likely perished under the enemy’s blade.

He had hoped to team up with the story characters to defeat the enemy, but the situation quickly spiraled out of control.

Compared to the other Upper Moons, Kokushibo’s power was on a completely different level. Even Tokito Muichiro, who had awakened his Demon Slayer Mark, had his arm severed by a single strike.

Ali wanted to trigger Black Flash and gamble on a desperate strike, but the enemy didn’t even give him a chance to get close. Fortunately, the Stone Pillar and Wind Pillar soon arrived.

Both activated their Demon Slayer Marks, and the Stone Pillar even entered the Transparent World, finally allowing them to engage Kokushibo in direct combat.

Before long, the Insect Pillar and Flame Pillar joined the fray as well, and with the protagonist group appearing, they were all enhanced by the “Hec-blade” status.

With the Stone Pillar having completed the trio of ultimate enhancements, he alone could fight Kokushibo to a standstill, not to mention the powerful allies around him.

Soon, Kokushibo found himself in a desperate situation. His body was bound by chains, and his head was shattered by the Stone Pillar’s meteor hammer.

They thought the battle would end there, but to their horror, Kokushibo forcibly revived, and his power became even more terrifying.

*Moon Breathing, Fourteenth Form: Catastrophic Transformation, New Moon Sky!*

A whirlpool-like slash covered the entire area, immediately knocking all the warriors to the ground.

“What a terrifying monster,” the sorcerer muttered as he slowly got back up, surveying the carnage around him. He knew this battle was far from over.

He needed to find an opportunity to use the power of Black Flash to break through the enemy’s defenses, but that would require the full cooperation of his allies.

“I’ll help you,” Shinobu Kocho staggered to her feet, her gaze fixed on the monstrous Kokushibo.

She had already injected several doses of poison into him. As long as they kept up the attacks, the Wisteria Flower poison would eventually break down his body.

So what if he could regenerate from decapitation?

If they could slice him into pieces, no matter his abilities, death would be inevitable.

In the deepest part of Infinity Castle, in Muzan Kibutsuji’s secret laboratory.

“Ah!!!”

The hollow chambers echoed with Muzan’s screams.

He had been too careless. While attempting to absorb a strange substance, he failed to notice that someone had managed to sneak up on him.

No, even if someone had reached him, they shouldn’t have been able to break through the flesh cocoon he had constructed around himself.

Yet that man had done it, and worse, he had stolen the “Beyond Elixir” that Muzan had painstakingly developed.

On one hand, there was the risk of his body deteriorating; on the other, there was the dream he had been chasing for a thousand years. Muzan was now trapped in a dilemma.

After venting his frustration, Muzan decided he had to retrieve the stolen elixir. The poison had been mostly neutralized, but not enough to prevent him from fully turning into a human.

If he could act quickly, he would still have time to retrieve the elixir and completely digest the poison.

But before he left, there was another matter to settle.

Tamayo, that treacherous woman, had betrayed him. If not for her, the great Demon King wouldn’t have been forced into such a corner.

“Even a thousand deaths wouldn’t be enough to repay your treachery.”

Tamayo died easily, by Muzan’s hand, but the strange smile she wore in her final moments was oddly unsettling.

Unfortunately, the furious Demon King didn’t care enough to dwell on it.

“**Nakime!**” Muzan sent an order through his cells to his subordinate.

While waiting for teleportation, he took a moment to monitor the situation in Infinity Castle through his cells.

Nakime was locked in a fierce battle with the crazed Yushiro, and Kokushibo’s fight was becoming even more intense.

It seemed no one was paying attention to what was happening on Muzan’s end.

“Perfect. Send me over.”

At the sound of the biwa string, Muzan suddenly appeared beside the thief.

The enemy’s appearance was abrupt, but the doctor looked completely unflustered, expertly slashing through Muzan’s whip-like attack with his scalpel.

The difference in their attributes was vast. By all logic, the outcome should have been decided the moment they made contact.

Yet the whip, formed from Muzan’s arm, was effortlessly severed by the doctor’s scalpel.

And it didn’t stop there. The doctor followed up with another slash mid-air, unleashing Gyutaro’s Blood Demon Art, *Flying Blood Sickles,* which severed Muzan’s other arm.

The once-invincible Muzan Kibutsuji had been dealt a severe blow right in front of the doctor.

A severed arm was nothing new—Muzan had been injured before. With his resilience, even if his arm was cut off a hundred times, it would only amount to a minor scratch.

The real problem was that the human who had severed his arm wasn’t running away. Instead, he quickly shoved the dismembered arm into his mouth.

Well, well. Muzan had always been the one eating humans. Who would have thought the tables would turn and he’d be the one being eaten?

For a moment, Muzan felt an odd mixture of emotions.

As he gazed at the human’s “fierce” expression, an idea crossed his mind—perhaps he should turn this one into one of his subordinates?

With most of the Twelve Kizuki either dead or missing, this person could fill the massive gap.

But before Muzan could issue the invitation, the air suddenly filled with a scorching heat that the Demon King despised.

*Hinokami Kagura: Burning Bones, Summer Sun!*

*Water Breathing, Tenth Form: Constant Flux!*

Tanjiro and Giyu Tomioka charged at Muzan together, launching a fierce attack.

Seizing the opportunity, the doctor pulled out the vial of “Beyond Elixir,” though he hesitated for a moment.

**Beyond Elixir:** A special plot item, indestructible. If consumed by a reincarnator, it will cause certain irreversible effects.

It couldn’t be shattered or swallowed—this thing was even more troublesome than the doctor had imagined.

In the brief moment of thought, both Tanjiro and Giyu were forced to retreat. Despite Muzan’s deteriorating condition, he was still the Demon King.

Even with three fighters working together, all they managed to do was delay their deaths by a few seconds.

Fortunately, the Demon Slayer Corps had many members, and within moments, two more appeared on the scene.

The Love Pillar, Mitsuri Kanroji!

The Serpent Pillar, Obanai Iguro!

“Damn it,” Muzan’s heart sank as he realized how quickly reinforcements were arriving.

Especially that boy who used Sun Breathing—even Muzan’s body couldn’t fully resist his attacks. Carelessly taking a hit could pose a real danger.

Muzan’s eyes locked onto the infuriating thief. Without hesitation, he commanded Nakime to teleport him out of Infinity Castle.

Losing the elixir wasn’t a big deal; he could spend another thousand years searching for it. Nothing was more important than his own survival.

As long as Muzan lived, the Demon Slayer Corps could never claim victory.

Eyeing the markings on the swordsmen, Muzan spoke coldly, “I’ll watch quietly as you all die, one by one.”

“**Nakime?**”

Confused, Muzan attempted to use his cells to check on his subordinate’s condition.

But as soon as the connection formed, he was met with Yushiro’s frenzied scream.

“Muzan!!!”

“You dared take Lady Tamayo from me! I will kill you!”

No sooner had the words left his mouth than the entire Infinity Castle began to shake violently.

“Get down to the ground, Muzan!”

With Yushiro’s outburst, Infinity Castle completely collapsed, and everyone inside was teleported to the surface.

There were still two hours left until sunrise. Yushiro’s intent was clear—he was willing to die, as long as it meant dragging the Demon King into the sunlight.

Everyone was thrown outside, including Fang Bo, who had been preparing to offer support.

Supporting his shikigami’s body as he stood, Fang Bo immediately noticed the clearly weakened Muzan Kibutsuji.

Muzan, too, saw the puppet that bore a striking resemblance to Yoriichi Tsugikuni.

Despite the dire situation, for some reason, Muzan maintained an eerie calm.

“Disgusting filth,” he muttered.

As soon as the words left his mouth, nine tubes shot out from Muzan’s back with such speed that even the warriors in the Transparent World couldn’t react in time.

In the next instant, Yoriichi Type Zero was shattered into countless pieces.

[Your puppet’s durability has reached zero. It is destroyed.]

“You son of a—” Fang Bo’s anger flared. He pulled out his Dragoon and fired a Holy Light Bullet at Muzan.

At the same time, he summoned the headless puppet, intending to use it as a temporary weapon.

But after being accustomed to the power of Yoriichi Type Zero, the headless puppet felt inadequate in every way. Even if an opportunity arose, it was doubtful it could harm Muzan.

Muzan blocked the incoming bullet effortlessly and turned his attention away from Fang Bo, focusing instead on the surrounding Demon Slayer Corps members.

“Do you really think this is enough to kill me?”

Muzan’s throat writhed grotesquely, as if he had swallowed something. Then, his body began to undergo a shocking transformation.

The others braced themselves for battle, while Fang Bo’s gaze drifted toward the severely injured sorcerer in the distance.

“Kokushibo was defeated?”

“Yeah, I took advantage of the chaos to kill him. Now, we—”

Ignoring his teammate’s fear, Fang Bo silently turned and sprinted toward Yushiro, or rather, the last remaining Upper Moon under Yushiro’s control.

He had never forgotten the high-difficulty hidden quest he was carrying: “Twelve Kizuki.”

This mission was unlike anything he had faced before. Every Upper Moon had the power to annihilate reincarnators.

Yet, Fang Bo had performed exceptionally well, with multiple Upper Moons falling by his hand.

Now, only one remained: Nakime.

If he could kill her, the quest would be completed, and he would surely receive an extraordinary reward.

“Hurry, kill her!”
