RWWOKS Chapter 135

This entry is part 136 of 247 in the series The Reincarnation World Where Only I Know the Storyline

In the reincarnation space, certain rules are widely accepted.

For example, only if you push an attribute to 19 in two worlds can you attempt a triple-attribute ascension.

Similarly, a B-Rank skill is considered the pinnacle in a difficulty level one world, and very few reincarnators can acquire an A-Rank skill at this stage.

The scarcity is one thing, but the learning requirements for A-Rank skills are extremely high.

The costs are also absurdly high, well beyond what reincarnators at this stage can handle.

Even Fang Bo, who had completed several world missions, had never considered an A-Rank skill for his third skill slot, as he doubted he could afford it.

The costs of learning and upgrading it would drain him completely.

He hadn’t expected to encounter a seller today, and it seemed the skill had already been displayed to others, yet no one had chosen to buy it.

For such a rare item to go unsold, it was either too expensive or its learning requirements were simply too harsh.

Of course, neither reason stopped him from wanting a closer look.

Perhaps his gaze was too intense because the petite girl suddenly turned toward him, eyes filled with a spark of hope.

“Come check it out. This is something you’d never find in a level-one world.”

Yaoyao knew the others weren’t interested in buying, but she had no choice; to complete a hidden task, she urgently needed a large amount of plot points.

If it weren’t for that, she wouldn’t be selling this treasure her sister had gifted her at such a low price.

“Ah…” Someone nearby sighed as they watched the girl’s forlorn expression.

If it weren’t so expensive, they would have purchased it, even if just to resell it.

The pain of missing out on a huge opportunity due to a lack of plot points was something many could relate to.

But the 4,000-point price tag was enough to scare everyone off.

Even some of the top players preparing for golden mainline missions couldn’t produce that many plot points at once, let alone the ordinary reincarnators.

It was simply beyond their means.

Seeing the small girl holding the scroll above her head, Fang Bo took it from her hands. His heart skipped a beat the moment he saw its contents.

**Name:** Gate of Babylon

**Level:** 1

**Grade:** A

**Treasury Capacity:** 0

**Effect:** Converts epic-level weapons and above into Noble Phantasms and directs them to attack enemies.

**Usage Requirement:** Consumes 1 point of Spirit per activation

**Learning Requirement:** Spirit 30, Perception 25

**Origin:** Fate/Stay Night

**Skill Evaluation:** An unrivaled skill for suppressing enemies, its power is greatly influenced by your wealth.

“This is Gilgamesh’s signature skill?”

Gilgamesh, the so-called King of Heroes, believed himself to be unrivaled. He spent his life collecting countless treasures, which he could summon as a heroic spirit to overpower his enemies.

The sheer volume of these weapons gave him the upper hand in any form of battle, and his only cost was a negligible amount of mana.

As a reincarnation space skill, each use of a “treasury” weapon requires a mandatory consumption of one Spirit point.

If Fang Bo were to use it, he could likely summon around thirty attacks with his current power—though he was unsure how the damage would be calculated.

He voiced his question, and the little girl, Yaoyao, hesitated before explaining.

In truth, the Gate of Babylon is a unique skill deeply tied to all five attributes; any deficiency would affect its actual effectiveness.

**Perception** determines the speed and range at which the treasury opens. The higher the attribute, the faster weapons emerge.

If it’s too slow, enemies have plenty of time to react, undermining the surprise attack factor.

**Constitution** governs the reloading time of weapons. The higher the attribute, the shorter the reloading time.

Weapons disappear after a certain time, regardless of whether they hit the target.

If Constitution is high enough, they refresh quickly, allowing the user to launch repeated strikes.

**Spirit** sets the maximum firing range of the weapons. The higher the attribute, the further they can reach.

**Agility** affects the flight speed of the weapons. The higher the attribute, the faster they travel.

**Strength** determines the impact force of the weapons. The higher the attribute, the more devastating the damage.

All five attributes are essential; only a reincarnator who invests in all of them can unlock the skill’s full potential.

This was one of the reasons no one else had bought it.

While the learning requirements weren’t too high, the actual combat requirements were. Some lacked the necessary perception, taking seven to eight seconds just to access the treasury.

Ridiculous, right?

Just because others couldn’t use it didn’t mean Fang Bo couldn’t; after all, he was the legendary five-attribute ascender.

As for treasure, he had handled more than his fair share of epic-level weapons, so filling up the treasury wouldn’t take long.

Once stocked, he could offset his lack of inherent power and use it with his mimicry armor, ensuring a nasty surprise for anyone who dared to approach.

Without a doubt, this was the skill Fang Bo had been searching for, and he couldn’t miss this opportunity.

Judging by the chatter around him, the 4,000-point price was fixed to meet the seller’s mission requirements, leaving no room for negotiation.

Understanding this, he simply paid up and pocketed the skill scroll, leaving the others stunned.

“Ah, thank you!” Yaoyao instinctively confirmed the transaction, then froze in shock before breaking into an excited jump.

She gave him a quick hug, then turned to dash out, only to be grabbed by the collar by Ruge.

“It’s late. Where do you think you’re going? Aren’t you worried about the Mist assassins?”

Yaoyao proudly pulled out a hammer nearly as tall as herself, grinning, “I’m not scared. If they dare come, I’ll smash them with one hit.”

A tiny girl wielding such a fierce-looking hammer made for an oddly surreal image.

“As expected, in the reincarnation space, you can’t underestimate the elderly or children.”

With the trade complete, Fang Bo lost interest in the other dealings, his mind focused on finding epic-level weapons.

His best chance soon would be the Forest of Death exam; hopefully, the opposing reincarnators wouldn’t bring him any junky gear.

As for storyline weapons, he knew he’d have a long break to rest and prepare after the second exam round.

At that point, he could attempt to trigger certain missions, perhaps even team up with the Demon King, Kimimaro, to hunt down some of the storyline’s strongest characters.

With Kimimaro’s current strength, taking down Jonin-level enemies was practically effortless.

If necessary, he could also target other villages’ teams, especially since he hadn’t yet learned about the leaders of the other villages.

Since Fang Bo managed to make Kimimaro a team leader, it was likely that reincarnators from other dimensions would also try to leverage the power of storyline characters.

With this thought, he voiced his curiosity, and Ruge quickly provided an answer.

Apart from the Leaf, which was fighting on home turf, the other village leaders were as follows:

– Sand Village: Jonin Baki

– Stone Village: Jonin Akatsuchi

– Mist Village: Jonin Ao

– Cloud Village: Jonin Darui

“All familiar names,” Fang Bo noted, realizing that the reincarnators from the other factions were far from idle.

Gathering such powerful leaders indicated that someone had put in considerable effort, possibly even needing to complete certain prerequisite missions.

Attacking powerful Leaf characters was risky, but targeting Jonin from other villages might be more feasible.

**War Mission 3: Kill 3 Jonin**

To complete this mission, Kimimaro’s help would be crucial. Otherwise, he would need to team up with other reincarnators.

However, working in a group would increase the chances of encountering resistance and sabotage from rival reincarnators.

“Sigh,” Ruge suddenly sighed, her ears shifting into a bat-like form as she seemed to listen for something.

After a while, sensing no abnormalities, she relaxed. “I make it a habit to monitor the surroundings now and then, especially for that leader who doesn’t seem too powerful.”

Since Fang Bo was set on killing Jonin, it was natural that other reincarnators might also have Baki on their hit list, so it was all a matter of who had the best approach.

After thinking it over, Fang Bo asked, “Do you have a concrete plan?”

“We’re still working on it,” Ruge replied, sounding somewhat disheartened.

The risk of attacking other factions was high, and one wrong move could have severe consequences.

Unless a perfect opportunity arose, this plan would likely remain under “consideration.”

Fang Bo understood. This mission would have to be his alone.

If the chance presented itself, he could direct Kimimaro to attack a leader from another village. If no suitable targets were available, then the Leaf’s Jonin could be fair game.

The Jonin rank covered a wide range; the lower limit might be someone like Kurenai, while the upper limit included powerhouses like Kakashi and Might Guy.

For reincarnators, choosing the right target was critical, but Fang Bo didn’t have these concerns.

“Kurenai Yuhi, Asuma Sarutobi, Inoichi Yamanaka… they’re all weaker Jonin. Maybe I should add them to my list.”

As he gazed into the deepening night, Fang Bo slowly rose, preparing to return to his lodgings in the Sound Village.

As for any potential attacks, he was quite interested in seeing what his opponents had to offer and why the Quincy caused so many reincarnators such headaches.

“If the opportunity arises, I’ll take him down,” Fang Bo told the group, letting them know to inform him if any action was planned.

With that, he left, the others watching as he disappeared into the night.

Out on the darkened street, a few drunken men were causing a ruckus, oblivious to the shadow that approached from behind.

As they passed each other, a thin line of blood appeared on one man’s shoulder.

“What’s going on?” he hiccuped, feeling his heart racing.

When he finally came to, his hands were soaked in blood, and two mangled corpses with bite marks lay at his feet.

Wiping the blood from his mouth, he seemed to remember something, a voice within his blood urging him forward.

“Quietly create more like me…”

“Don’t let the village find out…”

Staggering off into the distance, his mind grew clearer, and his craving for flesh reached a peak.

From the rooftop, the Demon King Kimimaro watched this scene with an indifferent gaze, as though he were observing ants tearing each other apart.

Spreading terror with demons in the Leaf Village—this was the second task Fang Bo had assigned him.
