**Chapter 95: Reverse One-Wave Strategy? Unbelievably Thrilling!**
“There’s something strange about his flames!”
In the lounge at Capital University, the lead girl said, “Normal fire shouldn’t have such high damage, and it seems to have an explosive effect.”
The others listened thoughtfully.
“Are there any heroes in Forbidden Zone #1 with fire abilities?” someone asked.
“No,” another replied, “but I’ve heard that Fang Ye’s flame ability was something he acquired unexpectedly in Forbidden Zone #2.”
“Oh? So he completed the most challenging third mission?”
“Not exactly. He completed the first mission but received the highest evaluation!”
“If Martial God Academy loses this match, that guy will definitely be our biggest rival!”
“We’ll have to think carefully. If we go up against Martial Saint Academy’s team, what tactics should we use?”
“Honestly, the rest of Martial Saint’s team isn’t a big deal; it’s just that guy who’s tricky!”
“Exactly! As long as we can keep him occupied, beating them won’t be too difficult.”
The Capital University team members continued discussing strategies.
The lead girl added, “Pay close attention to the match. If Martial God Academy loses, we’ll learn from their mistakes!”
—
Inside the canyon,
the Martial God Academy members had no idea they were already being used as a cautionary tale.
“What the hell happened back there? Shen Fei, how did you get taken down so fast?”
The newly revived Cao Zixiong sounded upset.
He had fought hard to create an opportunity, but his teammates had dropped the ball and were eliminated in seconds.
Faced with Cao Zixiong’s questioning, Shen Fei remained silent.
Even he hadn’t fully grasped how he had been killed.
“Well, say something! Shen Fei, what happened just now?” Cao Zixiong demanded.
“What can I say?” Shen Fei replied helplessly. “All I know is that he was faster than me, and his attacks were so powerful that I didn’t even have time to use my moves before he took me out.”
A chill ran through the team as they processed this.
“That’s impossible!” said teammate Wang Hao. “If his flame attack is that strong, he must have maxed out his mental stats. How could he have had enough points left to boost his speed too?”
Sun Yonghao commented, “But I saw him standing still, and when you charged at him, you just… exploded on the spot. Maybe it’s not his speed; maybe there’s something odd about his flame ability.”
“This isn’t the time to debate,” Wang Yiming interjected. “Let’s focus on figuring out how we can win this match.”
The team fell silent, each person pondering their next move.
Finally, Sun Yonghao admitted, “We have to face it. That guy is really strong, and if we don’t contain him, we’re in for a lot of trouble.”
Shen Fei agreed. “Yiming, you and Cao Zixiong head to the middle lane to contain him. You don’t have to kill him; just keep him occupied in the middle.” Then, turning to Sun Yonghao, he continued, “Old Sun, you hold the top lane while Wang Hao and I launch a main offensive down the bottom lane!”
As the team leader, Shen Fei quickly laid out a new strategy.
“Don’t worry,” he encouraged them. “Martial Saint Academy is just a mediocre school. Aside from that guy, there’s no one we need to worry about!”
The team nodded silently, agreeing with Shen Fei’s revised strategy.
Cao Zixiong, with his strong defense, could hopefully withstand some of Fang Ye’s damage, while Wang Yiming’s ranged attacks could assist. Together, they should be able to hold their ground.
With the strategy set, the Martial God Academy team members began moving into position.
But what they hadn’t counted on was that Martial Saint Academy had also changed their formation…
“Everyone, regroup in the middle lane!”
Fang Ye’s voice crackled over the comms.
Startled, the Martial Saint team members reacted.
“Fang Ye, are they going for a mid-lane push again?” Su Ziqiu asked.
“No! They’ve already failed once; they’d be foolish not to learn from that. They’re probably trying a new tactic now.”
“Then you’re suggesting…?”
“An eye for an eye!” Fang Ye chuckled. “Let’s hit them with our own one-wave push and catch them off guard!”
Actually,
Fang Ye had multiple reasons for this decision. Surprise was just one of them.
His main concern was that if Martial God Academy launched a strong offensive down another lane, Su Ziqiu and the others might not be able to hold them off.
After all, in terms of overall strength, his teammates were not as skilled as those from Martial God Academy.
Even Su Ziqiu, without any hero ability, was at a disadvantage compared to their opponents.
If Martial God Academy decided to focus on another lane,
Su Ziqiu and the others could struggle to defend it.
With that in mind, Fang Ye made the call to go on the offensive.
Waiting passively was not his style!
“Got it…”
Su Ziqiu quickly understood Fang Ye’s reasoning.
She was more than willing to cooperate with Fang Ye’s plan.
The rest of the team began regrouping in the middle lane.
—
Outside the canyon,
as the announcer noticed Martial God Academy’s new strategy, his voice filled the air: “As expected, Martial God Academy has adjusted their approach. It’s clear that continuing to attack that strong middle-lane player would likely end in failure, so their shift in strategy was inevitable.”
“We can see Martial God Academy splitting into three lanes. They’ve sent two players to the middle, clearly hoping to contain Fang Ye… Even Martial God’s most elite students need two players to handle him.”
“The team captain has gone to the bottom lane. This seems to be Martial God Academy’s new main offensive route.”
“While not extraordinary, this strategic shift is a solid move.”
Just then,
the announcer gasped in surprise. “Oh! Look at Martial Saint Academy! They’ve also adjusted their strategy… Their entire team is regrouping in the middle lane!”
“My god, could they be planning to use a one-wave push against Martial God Academy?”
“This… This is getting way too exciting!”
