The Ancient God Tablet of Blood Source!
“Alex…” Qin Feng squinted thoughtfully.
This Ancient God was far more enigmatic than the Plague Ancient God. Even with all of Qin Feng’s knowledge, information about Alex was scarce.
From its name, it seemed to belong to the chaotic alignment, much like the Plague Ancient God. If so, there shouldn’t be any inherent conflict between the two.
Opening his equipment menu, Qin Feng decided to bless his recently acquired weapon, Bone Spike.
[You have added “Alex’s Blessing” to “Bone Spike.”]
[Alex’s Blessing]
[Affix: Wither (Superior) +4.7]
[Would you like to keep this blessing? Yes/No]
Hearing the system notification, Qin Feng paused.
“A superior-tier affix?”
“Wither…”
He pondered for a moment. The “Wither” affix was more defensive than offensive, not aligning well with his aggressive playstyle.
A +4.7 Wither affix meant that each of his attacks would accumulate a 4.7% Wither gauge on the target.
Once the Wither gauge reached 100%, the target would enter the Wither state, reducing their attack damage by 99%.
Since this was a superior-tier affix, it was effective against bosses of all ranks. However, the higher the boss’s rank, the greater their resistance to Wither. Even if a boss entered the Wither state, their recovery rate would be significantly faster due to attribute boosts and mechanics corrections.
“This affix isn’t very useful to me,” Qin Feng muttered, shaking his head. For now, he decided to keep it. After some farming, he could replace it with a better blessing.
Using the teleportation array, Qin Feng returned to the Jianghai City Ruins.
He contacted two people.
The first was An Yu, who had collected a number of assassin skill books for him, ready for trade.
The second was to deal with the platinum-level and gold-level gear Qin Feng had looted, which were filling up his inventory. Selling them locally was the easiest option.
Before returning to the Magic Capital, Qin Feng planned to clear out more bosses in the Jianghai Ruins. Emptying his inventory was a must.
The second person he reached out to was Chen Wuming.
Chen Wuming had just informed Qin Feng about a platinum-level boss he had located. He even had 50 Slayers and over 100 promised kills ready to fulfill their prior agreement.
However, upon opening his friend list, Qin Feng discovered that Chen Wuming had gone offline.
Assuming something urgent had come up, Qin Feng didn’t dwell on it.
He shared coordinates with An Yu and summoned Osirio to wait with him in the city ruins.
Ten minutes later, An Yu arrived, riding a mount resembling a massive rhino, with a silver longsword at her hip. Behind her sat Lin Liyu.
“Big boss, big boss~!” Lin Liyu waved excitedly as she approached, her face alight with a smile.
Both women were visibly awestruck when they saw Osirio. Their eyes shone with envy and admiration—this was a flying mount, after all!
If not for having heard about Qin Feng’s exploits in Lucky Town beforehand, they would’ve been utterly speechless.
Qin Feng gave them a brief nod of acknowledgment, sticking to his usual demeanor.
As per their usual arrangement, they exchanged platinum- and gold-tier equipment and skill books.
Qin Feng also purchased 24 assassin skill books from An Yu at market price.
These skill books ranged from common gray and white grades to bronze, silver, and even gold.
“There were more than 24 books available, but since there are only 24 types, I prepared one of each for you,” An Yu explained with a smile.
“Thanks,” Qin Feng replied with a nod.
Considering the limited inventory slots of Level 12 or 13 players (typically only 30–50 spaces), An Yu’s effort to carry 24 books clearly demonstrated her dedication to helping Qin Feng.
“By the way, big boss,” An Yu said seriously. “I heard you taught a lesson to some older players in Lucky Town. They’ve started uploading short videos to tarnish your reputation, but don’t worry, we’ll handle it.”
Hearing this, Qin Feng shrugged. “Doesn’t matter to me. I was just playing word games with my mount anyway. Where were we?”
Osirio glanced at him coldly and replied: “As you please.”
Qin Feng smirked: “As you please.”
Osirio echoed: “As you please.”
The two repeated the phrase back and forth until Osirio burst into laughter: “HAHAHA! The language of Da Xia is truly the most profound I’ve ever encountered! As you please! As you please! HAHAHA!”
“…”
Qin Feng reached out and pressed Osirio’s mouth shut. Turning to An Yu, he said, “Don’t mind it—it’s gone mad.”
“???”
An Yu and Lin Liyu stood there, utterly bewildered.
A mount that talks, and now it’s playing word games?
Still, the women understood the underlying message:
Qin Feng didn’t care about public perception.
Short videos, moral shaming, criticism—it all had zero impact on him.
“Big boss, we’ve located five platinum-level bosses and one emerald-level boss. All are being monitored.”
“However, the emerald-level boss is tricky. Two of our people tried tracking it from 100 meters away but were killed.”
“Should I send you the coordinates?” An Yu asked tentatively.
Qin Feng shook his head. “Outdoor bosses are mobile, and coordinates are constantly changing. Plus, terrain can be complicated. I’ll handle something first—have your team stash the loot, then take me directly to the bosses.”
Lin Liyu’s eyes sparkled. “Can I ride this mount?”
Qin Feng chuckled. “Just don’t fall off.”
The two women hurried to store their items in the official sanctuary warehouse in Jianghai City, while Qin Feng patted Osirio and flew toward the Sanctuary of Cleansing Souls.
In stealth mode, Osirio landed near a hidden base in the ruins. Qin Feng spotted a Knights’ Templar team standing guard at the entrance, chatting idly.
Revealing himself, Qin Feng asked, “Where’s your guild leader? Why did he log off so suddenly?”
Startled, the six players quickly recognized Qin Feng and greeted him with a mix of awe and nervousness.
“It’s you, big boss.”
“Our guild leader? He sent three question marks in the guild chat, cursed a bit, then logged off.”
“Something to do with that girl Xiaoyou, I think?”
“Did she cause trouble again?”
“Not exactly. She got her legs cut off by a maniac and couldn’t afford the healing cost. The officials asked our leader to check on her.”
