- Online Game : God Level Assasin, I am The Shadow!
- GTA Chapter 159
Jianghai City, Riverside Hills Complex.
Nestled along the waterfront, this luxurious residential area included a section of rowhouse villas.
At dawn, the rising sun bathed the neighborhood in light, but the peace was shattered by a heated argument at the gate of one villa.
A middle-aged, curly-haired woman was standing at the entrance, hurling venomous insults at a young couple. Her sharp tongue and arrogant demeanor had the couple visibly flustered, despite their best efforts to stand their ground.
Their child, however, was still hospitalized.
The couple could not accept that the person responsible for their child’s concussion remained unpunished. Worse still, the culprit showed no remorse, flaunting her defiance.
The young couple had come for an apology, even if just a simple one.
But instead, they faced hostility.
“Woof! Woof! Woof!”
The ferocious barking of a large, four-eyed dog echoed from the villa’s courtyard. The beast stood upright against the fence, growling and howling at the intruders.
As the confrontation grew more tense, a tall, wiry young man emerged from the villa.
With a freshly lit cigarette dangling from his lips, he smirked coldly.
This man had clearly found success in Forsaken Game, judging by the pair of golden curved blades he toyed with, their sharp edges gleaming ominously.
He looked at the young couple and sneered:
“Didn’t you hear what my mom said? Get lost. I asked your friends about your in-game handles. If you keep causing trouble, you’ll find yourselves blacklisted in Forsaken Game.”
“Or… do you want to die right now?”
He raised the golden curved blades threateningly.
The couple’s expressions shifted immediately.
They recognized this man as Feng Shaoying’s son, the guild leader of Frostwolf, a top-100 guild in Jianghai City. His guild’s wealth and strength, built on early investments in lifespan trading, made him a powerful figure far beyond the reach of ordinary players.
Despite the intimidation, the young husband stood firm.
With the local officials maintaining order in the city, murder in broad daylight would lead to an immediate manhunt and arrest.
Still, he refused to back down without justice for his child.
“Apologize,” the husband demanded, glaring at Feng Shaoying.
“Apologize to your mother, you mean? You’re begging for it.”
The Frostwolf leader, wielding a hidden-class anti-mage, let out a cold laugh.
In an instant, he stored the golden blades in his inventory and lunged forward, aiming a punch at the husband’s face.
“Fire Shield!”
The young husband reacted quickly, activating a protective skill.
But to his shock, the anti-mage twisted mid-attack, switching his fist to a claw and grabbing the young wife by the throat.
“Leave now, or I’ll kill her.”
The anti-mage’s voice dripped with malice.
“Let her go!”
The husband’s eyes burned with fury, but his wife’s choked cries forced him to relent. He raised his hands and took a step back.
“Leaving now, huh? Smart choice.”
The anti-mage smirked, lifting the wife off the ground by her neck. Her legs flailed helplessly; it was clear she had no abilities in the real world to resist.
“Before you go…”
He took the cigarette from his mouth and pressed the burning tip against the woman’s face.
“Here’s a little lesson for you.”
“Ahhh!”
The young wife screamed in pain.
But before anyone could react further, a cold, sharp blade of bone white appeared out of thin air, stabbing through the anti-mage’s back.
“Splurt!”
Blood splattered as the blade pierced his heart.
The anti-mage froze, looking down at the white blade protruding from his chest in disbelief.
“This can’t be…”
Before he could finish his sentence, he collapsed into a pool of blood.
The young wife fell free, coughing and clutching at her throat. The burn mark from the cigarette was starkly visible on her face.
Her husband rushed to her side, supporting her as they both stared at the anti-mage’s lifeless body.
Then, out of the corner of their eyes, they caught a fleeting glimpse of a bone-white figure vanishing into stealth once more.
“Ahhh! My son! My son!”
Feng Shaoying’s shrieks echoed through the villa courtyard.
“Murder! Someone’s been murdered!”
Her cries turned to panic as a green-hued chain blade flew toward her, piercing her forehead.
She crumpled lifelessly to the ground.
The young couple turned pale.
Although their tormentors were dead, the scene was terrifying. They couldn’t be sure whether the mysterious killer might target them next.
“We need to go. Now.”
Clutching each other, they fled the scene as fast as they could.
Five Minutes Later.
A squad of six elite officials from Daxia arrived at the scene, their expressions grave.
One member, a Level 2 anti-stealth archer, scanned the area but found no traces of the perpetrator.
The courtyard was eerily empty. Both Feng Shaoying’s and her son’s bodies were gone, as was the large dog, which had also been killed.
The villa contained no clues linking anyone to the murders.
Surveillance footage from two angles showed only fleeting, indistinct movements—nowhere near enough to identify the culprit.
The only item left behind was a phone in a corner of the yard.
On the phone was a video.
It showed Feng Shaoying and her son threatening the young couple, the wife being burned with a cigarette, and the mother-son pair’s subsequent deaths.
More importantly, the video had already been uploaded to the internet using Feng Shaoying’s own account.
Her account, once used to smear Shadow, was now flooded with comments reacting to the video:
“What the hell? This old woman is disgusting! I found out she walks her dog without a leash, and it chased a kid down some stairs, giving him a concussion!”
“She didn’t apologize and even threatened the parents? And her son burned someone with a cigarette?!”
“I was wrong. I feel so guilty—I actually supported her, thinking Shadow bullied her!”
“Use your brain! If she were innocent, would Shadow waste his time on her?”
“Exactly! I was there when she insulted Shadow like a maniac. He only acted after she pushed him too far!”
The video ended the debate around Feng Shaoying once and for all. Most viewers applauded her demise, though some expressed concern about how Forsaken Game’s influence on individual power might undermine social order.
The Jianghai City officials, upon reviewing the video, understood the situation.
The film vigilante had struck again.
