RWWOKS Chapter 199

This entry is part 200 of 247 in the series The Reincarnation World Where Only I Know the Storyline

“Cough, cough.”

Amidst the thick dust and smoke, Fang Bo pushed away the heavy stone slab pinning him down.

The remaining eighty-something health points clearly indicated just how terrible his current state was.

Fortunately, in the end, he had been the one to come out on top.

He carefully scanned the area, and soon spotted Mai Shiranui’s fair and delicate thighs among the rubble.

Reaching out, he grabbed the girl’s ankle and roughly dragged her from the wreckage.

His actions were somewhat brutal, causing her ninja outfit to tear, even pulling off her black ninja socks.

Without the protection of her Chakra, this outfit was rather flimsy and could be easily torn with a little force.

After checking her condition, Fang Bo found that she was badly injured but unconscious, with no immediate danger of death.

“Don’t die just yet.” He hoisted her over his shoulder, taking a few steps back before leaping over the dojo’s walls.

Fang Bo wasn’t in the best condition and needed medical help quickly.

Summoning a giant would have been too loud, and he didn’t want to waste any precious storyline points, so his best option was to find a few lucky passersby.

Sure enough, as soon as he climbed over the wall, he spotted a group of dark-skinned hip-hop youths huddled in the corner.

“Hey, man, the chick you’re carrying…” One of them, who was darker-skinned, seemed to get excited when he saw Mai Shiranui’s exposed, pale skin.

He had a strong liking for Mai’s sexy and seductive aura and had been hanging around hoping to snatch a piece of her clothing or something else.

He was hoping to take it back and let his girlfriend wear it as a weird kind of satisfaction.

But what he didn’t expect was that, in the time it took to smoke a cigarette, a man would appear, carrying his dream girl over the wall.

The sight of her smooth, delicate thighs nearly made the guy lose his balance.

“Like her, huh?” the other man suddenly grinned.

Before the darker-skinned youth could figure out what was going on, he saw the man’s hand fall on him.

“Hey, you can’t—”

Before he could finish protesting, he felt an indescribably sharp pain surge throughout his body.

When Fang Bo released his grip, the poor guy was already in deep agony, his eyes sunken, as if he had been hit by ten kilograms of flour.

“Trash. Your health’s lower than a normal person’s,” Fang Bo muttered as he kicked the body aside, turning his attention to the second guy hiding in the corner.

Though he wasn’t sure what had happened to his companion, the second guy wasn’t stupid. He quickly pulled a weapon from his waist, a pistol, containing the cosmic truths.

“Hey, man, I suggest you calm down,” the second guy said, trying to wave his hand while slowly retreating.

The second guy wanted to turn and run, but he feared the man might attack him if he did.

He had heard the commotion earlier, and now, seeing Mai Shiranui unconscious, he understood exactly what was going on.

Facing this terrifying opponent, the second guy felt like his gun was useless.

Adjusting his grip on Mai’s thigh, Fang Bo shifted her onto his shoulder. That’s when he noticed the yellow taxi parked on the side of the street.

“Hmm? You’re a driver?”

“Yes, sir.”

A smile spread across Fang Bo’s face. “Good. Take me out of here, and please don’t refuse my kindness.”

“.OK, just don’t hurt me.”

Fang Bo tossed the injured woman into the back seat and then opened the passenger side door for himself.

In his past life, as a failed comic artist, a luxury like a car was beyond his reach, so he couldn’t drive.

He watched as the second guy skillfully started the engine and, after checking his own health, Fang Bo pulled out a bandage from his pocket and wrapped it around himself.

He quickly used three bandages, finally breathing a sigh of relief as his health reached 200 points—ensuring his survival for now. This was the time to focus on other matters.

“Keep driving,” he ordered, sliding into the backseat and gently placing Mai Shiranui’s head on his lap.

Seeing this, the second guy instinctively swallowed and began to form a lecherous grin.

It seemed he had already imagined what would happen next.

“If you keep staring, I’ll have your eyeballs dug out.”

“Uh… okay, sir.”

The second guy pulled out a strange-looking potion, glanced at it briefly, and then pried open Mai’s mouth, forcing the liquid down her throat.

Heavenly Divine Blood: Special item. Consuming it grants the Storm legacy but cannot be compatible with other bloodline traits.

Fang Bo had attacked Mai Shiranui to use her as the vessel for the resurrection of the Storm Gonnez.

Her body, not suited for a fighter, would be unable to bear the power of the storm. Even if she could, it would take a long time to recover.

He couldn’t afford that time, so he had to take risks.

If it worked, he would have a powerful teammate. If it didn’t, he could kill her while she was still badly injured and open the box.

This was always a gamble, and even if he lost, there were other options.

In the King of Fighters world, many powerful beings were against the resurrection of Orochi, and they could be used as pawns.

“Mm.” Mai Shiranui, still unconscious, groaned as the potion began to take effect.

Clearly, the Heavenly Divine Blood had started to work.

Vroom, vroom!

At that moment, the sound of American-style police sirens blared from behind.

Through the rear window, Fang Bo could see several police cars closing in, with officers speaking to their superiors on their radios.

“How could this happen? I didn’t activate the distress signal.” The second guy was almost in a panic.

He still had a lot of flour in the car, and if the police caught him, it was over.

“Shut up, keep driving,” Fang Bo said, his voice eerily calm as he stared at the approaching vehicles in the rearview mirror.

From lip reading, he knew the police were after him.

As for how they had locked onto him, that was still unclear.

“Maybe it’s because they found the body of the first guy.”

Throwing the tortured Mai onto the floor, Fang Bo jumped back into the passenger seat and took out the Wind Shadow Puppet from his mark.

If they couldn’t escape, it was time to let these fools experience his strength.

His mental energy was still low, so using a puppet to fight was the best option.

No need to control the sand and iron; with the Third Wind Shadow’s magnetic abilities, these armored cars were no challenge.

With a thought, two police cars were immediately lifted off the ground and smashed into each other, merging into a large metal lump.

“Heh.” A smile curled at the corners of Fang Bo’s lips as a surge of excitement ran through him.

In this modern setting, attacking police cars on the street gave him a feeling similar to playing GTA.

It was a pity they were in South Town. If he were in New York, it would have been even more thrilling.

Perhaps realizing he wasn’t someone to be messed with, the police ceased sending more pursuit vehicles.

Just as he thought the situation had calmed down, an intense chill ran down his spine.

Through the rearview mirror, he saw a golden-haired woman on a motorcycle closing in.

[Blue Mary (International Detective)]

[Attack Inclination: Medium]

[Attribute Inclination: Perception, Strength, Agility]

[Trait: Blood Rose]

[Threat Evaluation: Some Pressure]

Blood Rose: You are a thorny rose, male’s starting affinity +50.

She was the woman who teamed up with Billy Kane and Ryuji Yamazaki in the ’97 era.

Known for her various grappling techniques, she was the kind of opponent who would be hard to shake off once engaged.

Fang Bo wasn’t too eager to face her, as many of his skills had no distinction between enemies.

Once they got entangled, he too might fall victim to the devastating power of her moves.

Of course, Mary’s strength wasn’t as overwhelming as Goenitz’s, but she was still dangerous.

The real threat, however, was the man riding behind her on the motorcycle.

This man wore a red vest and a cap, with sharp eyes that reminded Fang Bo of a hungry beast.

He was none other than Terry Bogard, the legendary Hungry Wolf.

[Terry Bogard (Hungry Wolf)]

[Attack Inclination: High]

[Attribute Inclination: Strength, Agility, Spirit]

[Trait: Earth’s Power]

[Threat Evaluation: Highly Dangerous]

Earth’s Power: The essence of the Eight Extremes Fist, able to channel the earth’s force to attack enemies.

“Sure enough, top-tier fighters really are dangerous,” Fang Bo mused, feeling no surprise. Terry Bogard, one of the most popular fighters in the King of Fighters tournament, would naturally surpass Mai Shiranui’s strength.

Looking at the struggling woman, Fang Bo pointed to a nearby alleyway. “Go that way.”

“Okay,” the second guy mumbled, on the verge of tears.

He had kidnapped Mai Shiranui, attacked police cars, and now Terry was coming after him.

If he survived, he didn’t know if the police would believe him to be innocent.

Boom!

At that moment, an energy blast suddenly erupted on the street, nearly flipping the taxi.

“Step on it, or your car’s gonna be wrecked.”

“Damn!” The second guy cursed, stepping on the gas.

To avoid being accidentally killed by Terry, he pushed the car forward at full speed, drifting sideways and veering off into the alley.

“Chase them,” Terry ordered, though a bit reluctantly. He didn’t want to directly attack the taxi, fearing Mai might get hurt.

From the damage done to the dojo, it was clear how intense their battle had been.

Seeing Mai unconscious now, he knew she had likely been taken by this guy.

“Shit,” Blue Mary’s face suddenly turned pale. Without a second thought, she jumped off the motorcycle, pulling Terry with her.

In the next moment, the Golden Crescent staff appeared out of nowhere, exploding the motorcycle into a ball of flames.

“Sigh.” Terry let out a frustrated sigh, pulling his cap down. “Mary, tell Eastang—the Hungry Wolves are regrouping.”

“This bastard. No matter where he runs, I will catch him.”
