- Online Game : God Level Assasin, I am The Shadow!
- GTA Chapter 164
The sudden twist stunned everyone present, except for Qin Feng and Late Night Light Rain.
What just happened?
The fight hadn’t even started, and Late Night Light Rain had already attacked? Silencing and knocking back the “Soul Walker” Zuma, directly pushing him toward the boss?
“What’s going on?!”
Sun Xing, alarmed, immediately shouted, “Why are you attacking our own team?! This could cause serious international repercussions!”
As he spoke, he raised his hand and cast Levitation.
Zuma, who was falling, suddenly stopped mid-air and began floating back toward the platform.
“Sun Xing?!”
Late Night Light Rain’s expression darkened instantly.
“Get rid of the silence!” Zuma shouted in panic.
Without hesitation, Sun Xing, hearing the plea in accented English, cast Purification.
A pale blue light descended, cleansing the “Silence” effect from Zuma.
“I’m free!”
“Soul Walker… let’s go!”
Freed from the debuff, Zuma immediately activated his class skill, emitting a grayish-white light that enveloped himself and the rest of Theodore’s group.
Bang!
Before Fury, the blonde sharpshooter, transitioned into her Soul Form, she raised her rifle and unleashed a long-range sniper shot.
The bullet hit its mark, striking the slumbering Diamond-tier boss, the Nightmare Hellflower, with precision.
Boom!
The attack awakened the boss.
Simultaneously, Theodore, Fury, Zuma, and the rest entered their invincible Soul State.
The instant the boss was activated, waves of terrifying nightmare energy spread across the volcanic chamber.
The Nightmare Meter began accumulating above everyone’s heads.
“Ha! This Nightmare Meter is insane. Even in Soul Form, you can’t escape its effects.”
“Of course not. It’s a high-tier affix, after all!”
“These Daxia pigs have probably never encountered anything like this before. Let them savor the nightmare, haha!”
“Dying in a nightmare… that will be their fate.”
In Soul Form, Theodore and his team sighed in relief, smirking as they phased toward the mountain walls.
Without physical bodies, they were immune to all damage and could pass through obstacles effortlessly.
Even Qin Feng, observing this, made no move to stop them—or perhaps, he didn’t bother.
“Shadow Blade could dispel their buffs, but it needs a physical hit to connect.”
“Soul Form makes them effectively non-existent in this world. No skill can hit them…”
Qin Feng narrowed his eyes. Though this was an unexpected development, he wasn’t worried. He had contingencies in place.
As the group phased through the walls, Qin Feng merely watched, unfazed.
You might escape in the game, but in the real world? Let’s see how far you can run.
Late Night Light Rain, unaware of Qin Feng’s plans, was fuming as she watched the enemy retreat.
“I told you to follow my orders. Are you deaf?!”

[Player “Modern Hero” has been removed from the team!]

Sun Xing was dumbfounded.
He watched Zuma and the others escape, then realized he’d been kicked from the team. He froze, utterly at a loss.
Yet, he still didn’t grasp the gravity of his actions.
Even after being removed from the team, he began ranting in the local channel:
“Lin Qingyue! Do you even know what you’re doing?! They kindly shared the boss coordinates with us, and you repay them by attacking? Have you no shame? As a fellow Daxia citizen, I feel embarrassed for you!”
Late Night Light Rain sneered coldly.
“Didn’t you hear what they said? Their plan was to lure us into a trap and escape in Soul Form. You sided with foreigners and still dare to speak?”
Sun Xing scoffed, retorting smugly, “Weren’t you the one who attacked first? If you hadn’t, they wouldn’t have fled. If I were them, I’d be disgusted by Daxia too!”
The other players ignored him entirely.
The boss had already been triggered.
Waves of unsettling black energy filled the chamber, enveloping everyone.
As the Nightmare Meter continued to rise, faint, eerie whispers echoed in their ears, accompanied by disturbing flashes of indescribable light.
Though the effects were mild for now, they would escalate if left unchecked.
Late Night Light Rain’s expression turned serious as she marked the boss with Hunter’s Mark.
She commanded coldly, “Sun Xing disobeyed orders and aided foreign enemies. He is a traitor! Everyone, support the Shadow and kill the boss!”
“A traitor? Seriously?”
Sun Xing shrugged indifferently, muttering, “Women are so irrational! It’s just a boss. Even if we die here, what’s the big deal? Why would they go to such lengths to trap us?”
Late Night Light Rain smirked.
“I didn’t disclose everything earlier to prevent someone like you from sabotaging us. This Diamond-tier boss has the Nightmare high-tier affix. If your Nightmare Meter hits 100%, you’ll fall into a multi-day nightmare!”
“During that time, you can’t revive in-game, and the boss will drain all your tradeable lifespan. Think about it—trapped in a zone with 10,000x lifespan drain for several days. Do you even have enough lifespan to survive?!”
Her words cast a heavy pall over the group. Some players began to panic.
Even Sun Xing, glancing at his dwindling non-tradeable lifespan, swallowed hard.
“This is insane! We should run!”
Without hesitation, he turned and bolted.
When a few others seemed tempted to follow, Late Night Light Rain warned, “Don’t bother. I left a hidden Hunter’s Eye in the passage. Theodore’s team has already walled it off. Our only way out is to help the Shadow kill the boss!”
Her revelation sent a chill through the group.
So Theodore really had trapped them?
He had lured them here, fully intending to wipe them out?
Realization dawned on many players: Late Night Light Rain had been aware of the plan and had tried to stop the Soul Walker to prevent their escape.
But Sun Xing had ruined everything.
“Damn you, Sun Xing! If I survive today, you won’t!”
“This Nightmare Meter is rising way too fast! It’s already at 10%!”
“How are we supposed to kill a Diamond-tier boss so quickly?”
“Damn it! I wouldn’t complain if I died fighting, but dying because of this idiot? I refuse to accept it!”
“Shut up and help the Shadow attack the boss!”
“Yeah, stay calm. We have the Shadow on our side!”
“Wait… Shadow? Is that… why has the boss’s HP already dropped by a third?!”
In the midst of the chaos, the players glanced back at the Nightmare Hellflower.
To their astonishment, the boss’s health had already plummeted to two-thirds.
What the hell?!
In just those few moments of arguing, the boss had lost a third of its HP?!
Shadow!
What kind of monstrous damage is this?!
