RWWOKS Chapter 212

This entry is part 213 of 247 in the series The Reincarnation World Where Only I Know the Storyline

In just a moment, Lucar seemed to have completely recovered, rising from the ground as if nothing had happened.

“Very good.” His mechanical eye gleamed with a sinister light, and the man grinned wickedly, “I almost don’t want to kill you.”

As soon as the words left his mouth, the mechanical eye shot out a laser beam.

The beam’s penetrating power was immense, and the attack was so covert that Fang Bo didn’t even have time to react.

By the time he felt the pain, he realized that his left arm had been pierced by the enemy.

Saying he didn’t want to kill him, yet secretly launching a surprise attack—this was the true nature of Lucar, willing to do whatever it took to achieve his goals.

Sensing the danger, the Tsuchigumo (Spider Demon) tried to rush in to assist, but her own combat abilities were limited. The energy spiders she summoned were easily snuffed out by Lucar with a wave of his hand.

“Scum, stay out of the way,” Lucar sneered.

Ultimate Skill: Annihilation Slash!

Dark green energy wrapped around his arm, and Lucar cruelly severed the head of the giant spider.

Next, he used another ultimate move, the Scorpion Strike, transforming his legs into blades and delivering a double-kick that sent the Tsuchigumo into a near-death state.

This was the true power of Omega Lucar; he had only been using about seventy percent of his strength before.

He wanted to savor the struggle of his prey before its death, as it brought him a satisfaction too immense to describe.

Just then, a searing slash rushed toward him. The Yen Ichi Zero Model activated its most powerful attack.

Breath of the Sun, Thirteenth Form: Scorching Sun!

One slash struck Lucar’s arm, but the second slash was caught bare-handed.

With a single punch, Lucar shattered the puppet’s chest, causing its durability to plummet by two-thirds.

“Didn’t expect you to enjoy this kind of trickery,” Lucar said, intending to mock, but to his surprise, his opponent was already standing in front of him.

What?
Are you trying to outdo me in hand-to-hand combat?

Lucar had years of battle experience and could easily tell that his opponent wasn’t skilled in close-quarters fighting. Now, this behavior seemed more like a suicide mission.

Fang Bo, however, wasn’t looking to die. He was trying to apply a Damage Debuff on Lucar.

[Target affected by Vulnerability status, will take 20% extra damage for 10 seconds.]

Realizing something was wrong, Lucar immediately prepared to kill Fang Bo before he could fully enact his plan.

But just as he was about to strike, a wave of intense heat surged from behind. He barely had time to react before a massive blow hit him squarely.

Lucar’s hands gripped the enemy’s shoulders, and Kyo Kusanagi’s face contorted with fury. The terrifying energy within his arms exploded with monstrous force.

Unable to use the power of No-Style, Kyo resorted to a forbidden technique from the Kusanagi family.

MAX Ultimate: Five Hundred and Fifty-Fourth Style: Divine Ash!

The endless red flames of the Immortal Fire erupted, mercilessly burning through Lucar’s body.

At this point, Lucar had no strength left to resist and was helplessly pummeled by Kyo’s relentless assault.

Countless punches and kicks rained down on Lucar. In that moment, Kyo seemed to transform into a demon, tearing apart anyone unfortunate enough to stand in his way.

Unbeknownst to Kyo, his skin began to darken into a deep brown, marking the external manifestation of his Demonization state.

The extreme violence of the assault left Fang Bo, who was watching from a distance, mesmerized.

“Success,” he smiled faintly, using the Memory Armor to replicate Divine Ash.

Before the battle began, Fang Bo had already sensed Kyo’s return. He had taken the risk to approach him, hoping to capitalize on this opportunity.

With the Vulnerability debuff applied, Kyo’s ultimate attack was further amplified by twenty percent.

Let’s see if you can withstand this, Lucar.

Fang Bo held his breath as Kyo’s relentless assault finally ceased. Kyo stepped back two paces, hands on his knees, panting heavily.

His power hadn’t fully returned to its peak, and this was already an all-out effort. If Lucar didn’t fall, the outcome of this battle would be disastrous.

Luckily, their fears did not materialize. With a loud thud, Lucar’s body hit the ground.

[You have received a Red Story Chest]

“Just like that, he’s dead?” Fang Bo was taken aback.

The enemy had been so imposing, carrying himself with the arrogance of someone at the top of the food chain. Fang Bo thought there would be an epic showdown ahead.

To his surprise, Lucar was instantly taken out by Kyo’s Super Ultimate.

“Did I miscalculate? Maybe his health wasn’t as high as I thought?”

Regardless, he had survived another battle and received a valuable Red-tier chest.

It was bound to contain items worthy of Lucar’s rank.

[You are opening the Red Story Chest]

[You have obtained 700 Story Points]

[You have obtained the Blood of Orochi (Legendary)]

[You have obtained Gale Fist]

[You have obtained Scorpion Strike]

Blood of Orochi (Legendary Trait): Activates the power of Orochi, increases Constitution by +10, grants Berserk and Regeneration status for 10 minutes. Cooldown: 3 hours.

Gale Fist (C-rank Active Skill): Consumes 4 Spirit points to unleash a violent energy shockwave.

Scorpion Strike (C-rank Active Skill): Consumes 2 Spirit points to perform a two-hit kick, similar to a slashing motion.

Fang Bo wasn’t interested in learning either of the skills. He had too many things to study already.

“Throw them into storage. If I don’t need them, I’ll sell them off.”

The biggest prize, of course, was the Blood of Orochi, a legendary trait.

This item belonged to the Bloodline category, and using it would forcibly alter his bloodline strength.

If all went as expected, it would conflict with his Steel Heart talent. Plus, the simple physical stat boost wasn’t particularly exciting.

Holding the small vial, Fang Bo shook it lightly, already thinking of selling it for a good price.

If he could sell it for around 18,000 Story Points, that would be an incredible gain.

Not far from him, the Tsuchigumo, now fully regenerated, approached. She eyed Lucar’s corpse with an eager look in her eyes.

“I can feel it. If I eat him, I might be able to give birth to a brand new Demon Spider.”

Hearing this, Fang Bo’s interest piqued. He hadn’t yet mastered the art of creating human puppets, so why not let the Tsuchigumo have Lucar’s body?

“If I can create a Fourth-tier Demon Spider, its battle power would rival that of a Reincarnator with maxed-out single attributes.”

The thought of leading an army of Sixteen Demon Spiders was exhilarating.

“Be careful!!!”

At that moment, Kyo Kusanagi’s voice suddenly rang out from behind them.

A man cloaked in black landed from the sky, and without a word, he delivered a spinning kick toward the two of them.

Special Move: Cutting Spin!

The whip-like leg created a whirlwind, sharp enough to slice through the two in front of him, a spider and a human, causing blood to spill on the spot.

By the time Kyo got back to his feet, he found that the enemy had already disappeared, taking Lucar’s body with him.

“He wasn’t here to fight,” Kyo muttered uselessly.

In truth, the cloaked man’s only purpose had been to retrieve Lucar’s body. As for whether he wanted to or not, Fang Bo had a bold guess.

“He’s not going to revive him, is he?”

Given Lucar’s track record as one of the most frequently revived bosses, it wouldn’t be surprising at all.

Whatever the reason, it made sense for him to come back. Who knew, they might encounter Lucar again in the future.

“If we kill him again, will it give me another Red-tier chest?” Fang Bo seemed to almost look forward to it.

The NESTS Organization’s pursuit missions were still ongoing. He might just meet the resurrected Lucar again.

If that happened, with both Iori Yagami and Geese Howard on his side, they could very likely take him down.

On the transport plane, the cloaked man tossed Lucar’s body onto the operating table.

“Let’s begin.”

Hearing his command, the researchers in the room immediately sprang into action.

Before long, numerous tubes and monitoring instruments were inserted into the corpse.

As the energy devices began to power up, the body that had already been declared dead suddenly showed signs of life.

How much time had passed, no one knew, but with the violent roar of the transport plane’s engines, Lukar suddenly opened his tightly closed eyes.

Slowly, he sat up from the chair, feeling his new life coursing through him. Unable to contain himself, he let out a hearty, uncontrollable laugh.

“Great! Finally shattered that damn control device.”

“By the way, I owe you a thank you, Zero.”

The internal control device had forced him to obey the orders of the NESTS Organization.

From the beginning, Lukar had planned for Zero to destroy that little device inside him.

Otherwise, how could he have been taken down by a mere combo of skills from the enemy?

Now that he was free from the restraints, Lukar had decided to act according to his own will.

Seeing Lukar’s grim expression, the cloaked man coldly spoke, “Don’t forget the deal you made with me.”

“Of course, my friend.”

He agreed readily on the surface, but only he knew what was really going through his mind.

Choosing to cooperate with Lukar was akin to making a deal with the devil.

Of course, the man who had single-handedly repelled both Kyo Kusanagi and Fang Bo was not someone to be underestimated either.

In an ominous silence, the transport plane slowly headed towards the southern town.

In Kyoto, inside the hotel run by the Kusanagi family.

“Sigh…” Fang Bo let out a heavy sigh, a sense of weight pressing on his heart.

To prevent their actions from being leaked, he and Olsen had set up several special communication methods.

But, after so many days, there had been no word from Olsen.

If not for the team interface still showing his name, Fang Bo might have believed something had happened to him.

“He must have run into trouble,” Fang Bo muttered as he rubbed his brow, contemplating his next move.

Should he investigate further or continue following his own course?

“If something happened to him, the enemy must have noticed our movements.”

“The only reason they haven’t killed him yet is likely to lure his companions into a trap.”

After thinking it through, Fang Bo decided to wait and see, focusing instead on strengthening his own forces.

Whether or not to rescue him, he needed the help of key story characters.

The next step was to find Iori Yagami and see if he could help restore this guy’s peak power.

According to news from Kyo Kusanagi, someone had recently spotted Yagami near the area.

Fang Bo waited, anticipating the arrival of more clues.

With the vast intelligence network of the Kusanagi clan, finding people wasn’t something he had to handle personally.

Soon, he received solid information—there had been signs of a fighter battle somewhere nearby.

You see, fighters usually didn’t make a move unless they absolutely had to. Even if they did fight, they tended to avoid involving regular people.

For someone to act so blatantly, it was highly likely that it was Iori Yagami himself.

Arriving at the hotel parking lot, Fang Bo drove the Ferrari sports car Kyo Kusanagi had gifted him, flooring the gas pedal toward the location indicated on the map.

“A deserted factory?”

“Well, this is certainly a suitable place for a fight.”

The roar of the engine made Fang Bo feel a rush of excitement; he enjoyed the thrill of speed.

But soon, his smile faded.

Turning his head stiffly, he saw an unexpected guest suddenly leap onto his sports car.

The girl, with blue hair flowing in the wind, waved at him happily. “Yo.”
