- In Marvel: I Start by Marrying Scarlett Witch [Complete]
- MWM Chapter 46
“Although the Fourth Mizukage’s genjutsu has been broken, on the surface, you are still considered a traitor who attempted to assassinate the Mizukage. For the sake of the Mist Village’s honor, they won’t withdraw their pursuit of you.
But don’t worry about that. As a member of our organization, I’ll help you conceal your identity.
Likewise, if in the future you truly want to reclaim the position of Mizukage, I can assist you with that as well, especially with financial support.”
Leo clapped his hands and stood up.
Zabuza, holding his Executioner’s Blade, also got up from the ground. He stared at Leo for a long moment before speaking:
“What do you need us to do?”
There’s no such thing as a free lunch. The other party had provided them with information, treatment, and had even returned the Executioner’s Blade. With all the help they were offering, it was clear there would be a price.
“We’re comrades, so helping out like this is nothing. If you’re okay with it, in a few days, help me kill Gato. With him around, even if the bridge is repaired, the people of the Land of Waves won’t have a better life.
Monks are supposed to be compassionate and can’t stand to see others suffer!”
Leo put on an expression of deep empathy, making both Zabuza and Haku twitch their lips in response.
He then tossed two tokens, one marked with the characters for ‘white’ and ‘black’, to Haku and Zabuza.
“These are tokens of our organization. With these, you’ll be received at any Chuan shop in the Land of Fire. You can rest in a nearby town for now, and I’ll let you know when it’s time to move.”
Not long after returning to the Hidden Leaf Village, Leo had instructed Kina to have the merchant caravans set up shops in every town within the Land of Fire, all under the name Chuan. On the surface, they were just ordinary general stores, supporting the caravans’ business, but they also had hidden rooms underground, useful for hiding or recuperating.
Funding was still a bit tight, but once they took over Gato’s company and claimed the commercial profits of the Land of Waves, Leo planned to expand and establish shops in all other countries, to broaden operations and aid in intelligence gathering.
General stores, inns, hotels, entertainment houses, hot springs— a diversified, all-encompassing development.
“How many members does our organization have right now?”
After pocketing the token, Zabuza asked Leo, who was about to leave.
Leo pointed at Zabuza and Haku, then at himself:
“Right now, there are only the three of us as official members. In the future, I’ll recruit more based on the situation. Of course, if you have any good candidates, you can recommend them to me.”
With that, he didn’t linger any longer and quickly turned to leave.
After Leo’s figure completely disappeared, Haku finally turned to Zabuza and asked:
“Zabuza-sama, are we really going to join his organization?”
Haku had a favorable impression of Leo, but that was as long as it didn’t conflict with Zabuza’s will. If Zabuza ordered him to kill Leo, he would follow through without hesitation.
Zabuza slung the Executioner’s Blade over his shoulder:
“It doesn’t do us any harm, and as for that Gato, if it wasn’t for the money and avoiding the hassle of those annoying pursuit squads, I would have killed him already.
Some ordinary person dares to boss me around.”
He knew Leo wanted to use him, but Zabuza was just as willing to use Leo. At the very least, he truly wanted to find out which bastard had used genjutsu on Yagura back then.
…
Elsewhere, after dealing with Zabuza and Haku, Leo returned to the initial battlefield. Using the traces left behind by Naruto’s group, he quickly tracked down Tazuna’s residence.
“Brother Chuan!”
Sakura was wringing out a towel at the door when she saw Leo appear, and her face instantly lit up with joy.
She had just been worried that Leo might be in danger chasing after Zabuza and that boy, since as Zabuza’s companion, the boy’s strength was definitely not weak.
“Sakura, where’s Kakashi-sensei?”
“Kakashi-sensei fainted right after you left and hasn’t woken up yet,” Sakura replied, her voice filled with concern.
Unlike Sasuke and Naruto, Sakura was more of an academic, with combat abilities typical of a newly graduated Genin. So, witnessing the battle between Kakashi and Zabuza had left her quite shaken.
“It seems he was injured in the fight with Zabuza. I have some basic medical ninjutsu, so I should be able to help.”
Leo smiled, trying to comfort her.
Hearing this, Sakura’s face brightened, and she immediately led Leo to the room where Kakashi was resting.
Inside the room were Naruto, Sasuke, Tazuna, and his family. When Naruto saw Leo, he immediately asked:
“Brother Chuan, did you catch up with Zabuza and the others?”
Sasuke didn’t speak, but his ears perked up, showing he was also eager to know the outcome.
“To be honest, I did catch up, but that boy was very strong, with some unique ninjutsu. I couldn’t hold him down and he managed to steal the scroll that sealed the Executioner’s Blade.”
Leo shook his head, then quickly changed the subject:
“Let’s not dwell on that; I should tend to Kakashi-sensei first!”
With that, he knelt down and began to use healing techniques on Kakashi’s injuries.
“Kakashi-sensei’s external injuries aren’t severe. His main issue is that he overexerted his chakra, pushing his body beyond its limits. A few days of rest should help him recover.”
“Damn it, he’s not much older than us, but he’s already so strong. I need to train even harder.”
Hearing that even someone as strong as Leo wasn’t a match for that boy, Naruto clenched his teeth and shouted, feeling like a failure compared to that boy.
Sasuke, sitting there with his usual cold expression, also clenched his fists tightly. For the first time, his pride was shaken, realizing he wasn’t much stronger than Naruto.
At this moment, Kakashi regained consciousness. Hearing Naruto’s words, he placed a hand on the boy’s head.
“There are ninjas in this world who are not much older than you but are far stronger than me. Keep training.”
He recalled his former subordinate from the Anbu, Sasuke’s brother, the Leaf’s S-Class rogue ninja who had single-handedly slaughtered the entire Uchiha clan—Uchiha Itachi.
“That boy is about three or four years older than you. By the time you reach his age, you’ll definitely surpass him. As for me, I’m already twenty, eight years older than you, so when you reach my age, you’ll surely become powerful ninja renowned throughout the world.”
Leo also offered some words of encouragement.
And he wasn’t just offering comfort—it was the truth. If the story played out as expected, both would become the strongest ninja in the world before they even turned twenty.
“Brother Chuan is so kind and handsome. If only he weren’t a monk and a little younger,” Sakura thought to herself as she looked at Leo.
Then she turned to look at the ever-cool Sasuke, and her cheeks instantly flushed.
“In the end, Sasuke and I are the perfect match. When we’re both twenty, will we already have a little baby…”
