FLDI Chapter 188

This entry is part 189 of 211 in the series Fantasy Lord: Start with Daily Intelligence

“Lord Thor!”

Isabelle spoke, her gaze instinctively turning towards Thor.

At this moment, her heart was violently shaken, her expression one of disbelief. Her heart was pounding, and she could never have imagined such a scene unfolding before her eyes.

The first person to rush out earlier didn’t step into the Divine Ruins as expected. Instead, their body exploded into pieces.

Even those who followed closely behind were severely injured.

Had she not heeded Thor’s orders earlier and charged out instead, the consequences were all too clear.

At this moment, it wasn’t just Isabelle who was shaken. Joes, Aisha, and even Brian were equally affected. Facing the stunned looks of those around him, Thor remained silent, his gaze fixed on the sky.

As someone who received daily reports, he had already seen this scene in the intel beforehand.

Of course, he was aware of it.

But knowing was one thing. Actually facing it was an entirely different matter.

“The Behemoth!”

He whispered softly, his expression turning serious.

The Behemoth—an absolute king among the Orcs. The only Tier 7 Orc tribe in all of Orc territory.

The terror of its existence was something even countless stories had described. For Thor, it was a mix of anxiety and anticipation.

As his gaze sharpened, the dust ahead swirled, and amid the thunderous roars, massive, terrifying figures began to emerge in his line of sight.

They were towering creatures over ten meters high, and with each step, the earth trembled.

Legends of the Behemoth described its tail as straight as a cedar, its muscles as firm as stone, and its bones as tough as copper and iron.

As the only Tier 7 Orc tribe, the Behemoth was incredibly powerful—almost terrifyingly so. In contrast to other Orc tribes, where typically a knight of the Second Order could handle Tier 2 Orcs, an Earth Knight could handle Tier 3, and a Sky Knight could contend with Tier 4 or even Tier 5 Orcs, even Tier 6 Orcs were manageable for a Holy Domain Knight.

But the Behemoth was different.

A Tier 2 Behemoth could easily crush a knight of the human order. A Tier 5 Behemoth, even a Holy Domain Knight would have difficulty dealing with it. The Tier 6 and Tier 7 Behemoths transcended the limits of Holy Domain Knights, reaching an almost unimaginable level of power.

“ROAR!”

“Humans!”

The deafening voice reverberated through the heavens and earth, and just hearing it caused the ten Holy Domain knights to feel their domains almost shattering.

But just as this overwhelming pressure was about to crush the Holy Domain knights into pieces, a beam of light suddenly appeared.

“Behemoth King!”

“Calm down.”

A light chuckle echoed through the air. With the appearance of the light, a figure slowly emerged from the void. His gaze fell upon the vast figures in the distance—or rather, his focus was on the largest one at the center, sitting atop a massive throne, wearing a crown, the Behemoth King.

A powerful aura spread out, and the oppressive pressure that had been suffocating the knights was instantly repelled.

The figures below, who had previously been pale with fear, could not help but feel a sense of relief.

“Hoo!”

A deep exhale escaped as they watched the figure appear in the sky. All ten knights breathed a collective sigh of relief.

For a moment, they had thought they were done for.

But unexpectedly, this person had finally arrived.

“Tulip King, you dare to trespass into Orc territory? Are you seeking war?”

The Behemoth King’s voice echoed from the throne, booming across the land. His words were not in Orcish, but in the Common Tongue of the continent.

“Behemoth King, I did not enter your territory, but rather, it is the Orcs under your command who initiated the Divine Awakening without authorization.”

“Should I take this as a sign that your Behemoth clan has given its approval?”**

High in the sky, Tulip King, crowned and composed, faced the words of the Behemoth King. His voice was calm, but the content of his words made the Behemoth King’s fury flare up.

“Tulip King, what are you saying?”

“We Orcs initiated the Divine Awakening, and this is our doing.”

“Do you think I am a fool?”**

The Behemoth King’s voice grew louder, a fierce and violent aura starting to swell within him. His eyes flashed with a murderous rage.

“Behemoth King, I am not obligated to prove anything to you. I will say this once: The Bloodthirsty Wolf attempted to initiate the Divine Awakening and summon Anubis. We stopped it, which resulted in the Divine Ruins.”

“You may believe it, or you may not. But this is the truth.”

“If you wish to go to war, then let’s begin.”

“Of course, that will depend on whether you can leave here alive today.”**

Tulip King spoke with unwavering calm, his own terrifying aura rising, his gaze fixed upon the Behemoth.

“You!”

“Seeking death!”

The Behemoth King’s eyes turned bloodshot. In an instant, an enormous surge of energy erupted, and he rose from his throne. A towering aura of divine power spread out, directly charging towards Tulip King.

However, before his divine domain could fully manifest…

Suddenly, as if sensing something, the Behemoth King paused. His gaze turned to two other places.

As his eyes focused, two more figures, crowned and regal, appeared beside him.

“Tulip King, no wonder you dare to speak to me like this. Looks like you three have been plotting this from the start.”

“Very well, today I’ll see if the three of you can keep me here.”**

The Behemoth King’s pupils blazed with anger, and his fury surged as a deep, thunderous voice rang out.

“Behemoth King, you have existed for too long. This continent no longer needs beings that exist beyond the Gods’ Pact. Today, if you are willing to sign it, you may leave. If not, then don’t expect to leave today.”

A sigh accompanied the words from the figure to the left, wearing a golden crown—Golden Flower King.

On the right side, the figure wearing a crown spoke more directly. A powerful divine domain spread out across the entire heavens and earth, covering the sky itself.

“Fine, fine!”

“Three high-level divine domains, and you dare to act like this?”

“It seems you humans have forgotten just how terrifying my Behemoth clan is!”**

The Behemoth King’s aura exploded, and a force powerful enough to shatter the sky itself began to weave together. The power of his divine domain expanded, and in that instant, the sky turned blood-red.

“Is that so?”

“Then let me see for myself!”**

Tulip King chuckled lightly, and in the next moment, his divine domain also spread out.

As his domain expanded, the divine domains of the other two kings began to spread as well, interweaving in an instant.

The entire heavens and earth were completely divided.

The Behemoth King and the Behemoth giants that had followed him were all enveloped within this power.

“Gulpp!”

“Th-This!”**

Seeing this scene, some of the Holy Domain powerhouses couldn’t help but swallow, their eyes wide with shock.

“Kalienina, those three aren’t trying to take down that one, are they?”

Someone couldn’t help but ask, their gaze turning to Kalienina.

“This!”

Hearing the question, Kalienina opened his mouth but was at a loss for words.

Could he say he didn’t know?

He hadn’t even expected Tulip King to come in person, let alone for the three kings of the kingdoms to unite like this.

His previous words had only been guesses.

Of course, the others didn’t require an answer from him.

At this moment, everyone was stunned, caught off guard by this unexpected turn of events.

Following the arrival of the Behemoth and the three powerful kings, the battle between the Behemoth King and the three monarchs began.

Regardless of the outcome, it seemed that trouble was inevitable.

If the three kings couldn’t defeat the Behemoth, the Orcs would certainly launch an all-out war, and the northern defenses would be in grave peril. But if the three kings were to fall before the Behemoth King, the consequences were unimaginable.

Even if the three kings managed to defeat the Behemoth King, the problems wouldn’t be over.

The Behemoth here wasn’t the only one. Killing the Behemoth King would inevitably trigger war, and no matter the outcome, a conflict would be unavoidable.

At this moment, the ten Holy Domain experts exchanged glances, unsure of what to do.

“What now?”

Someone instinctively spoke, but then hesitated, unsure of how to proceed.

“Wait.”

After a moment of silence, someone sighed deeply and spoke.

With that sigh, everyone else fell into silence. They realized there was nothing else they could do but wait.

Holy Domain experts were incredibly powerful, but against the three kings and the Behemoth, they felt utterly insignificant.

It wasn’t just the Holy Domain experts who were stunned; the powerful noble heirs were also in shock, unsure of how to act.

At the city wall.

“Let’s go!”

“We can proceed now!”

Thor spoke, then immediately made his way toward the city gates.

“Now?”

Isabelle, still in shock, looked at Thor.

“Yes!”

“This is the best opportunity!” Thor nodded without hesitation, moving forward without a moment’s pause.

Steve, Perros, Ren, Carter, and Brian followed closely behind.

“Sister!”

Joes looked at his sister.

Aisha looked at her as well.

“Let’s go!”

With a determined expression, Isabelle nodded, then gestured for her younger brother and sister to follow her.

Their actions quickly caught the attention of others.

“What are they doing?”

Someone couldn’t help but ask, their face filled with astonishment.

“Have they gone mad?”

“That’s the battlefield of the Divine Domain!”

Others muttered to themselves, but Thor paid them no mind.

Leading his group, they quickly moved toward the Divine Ruins.

At that moment, as the Behemoth moved further away, the power suppressing the Divine Ruins began to dissipate. It wouldn’t be long before the Ruins would erupt. If they didn’t step in now, they would miss their chance.

Thor and his group rushed out of the city, heading toward the Divine Ruins.

This scene shocked many, and others felt conflicted.

In the end, a few decided to follow Thor toward the Divine Ruins.

The risk was undeniable; the danger was palpable. But they also sensed the violent turmoil ahead, and it was clear that the first opening of the Divine Ruins was imminent.

If they missed this opportunity, any future chances to enter would undoubtedly offer far fewer rewards.

Despite the risks, some could not resist the urge.

Thor, however, paid no attention to the others and led his group swiftly toward the Ruins.

At that moment, a terrifying force suppressed the Divine Ruins, the black mist swirling, and ominous energy spreading through the air.

As Thor and his group arrived, the suppressing force suddenly shattered.

“Boom!”

The black mist swept out instantly, and the ominous energy flooded the surroundings, blocking out everything in an instant. Before they could react, their vision turned dark.

Their bodies and consciousness were swiftly dragged in.

The knights following Thor’s group were also swept in.

Watching this, those who had been trailing behind, including the knights, turned pale. They quickly rushed forward, eager to follow.

Before long, these knightly forces were also drawn into the maelstrom.

In the blink of an eye, the Divine Ruins expanded, consuming an area of several dozen miles.

At the city walls, watching this scene, the remaining noble heirs, who had stayed behind, were all visibly shaken. Panicked, they tried to take action, but it was too late.

The Divine Ruins spread throughout the heavens and earth, solidifying into its final form.

Their only chance to enter now was to wait for the second opening of the Ruins.

Typically, after the first opening, the Divine Ruins needed some time to stabilize. The second opening could take anywhere from seven to ten days.

However, entering the second time meant they would be able to stay in the Ruins for much less time, and their rewards would be far fewer.

At this moment, seeing the stable Divine Ruins, many of the onlookers felt a deep sense of frustration, even regret.

Especially Sechis Spencer. As he watched Thor and his group being swallowed by the Ruins, his eyes glinted with cold light.

He had been lucky; he had managed to avoid being crushed by the Behemoth’s power when he had rushed out earlier. Positioned at the periphery, he had even managed to escape.

Now, watching Thor’s group effortlessly enter the Divine Ruins, Sechis found it hard to accept.

Why? Why did that damn Dresrossa family heir get there first? They were just a count’s family, yet they beat him to it! This was supposed to be his chance!

The three great duchies were scheming to gain control of the Divine Ruins, while the three kings, using this opportunity, sought to deal with the Behemoth King directly.
