- FLDI Chapter 200
Three terrifying presences filled the entire sky. Though the three individuals were far from in optimal condition, when they appeared, the entire northern defense line erupted in thunderous excitement.
“King!”
“King!”
“King!”
The roar of thousands reverberated across the northern defense, and everyone could not help but breathe a collective sigh of relief. Joy spread uncontrollably.
Even the dozen or so experts in the Divine Domain smiled in response.
However, in stark contrast to the jubilant human forces, the orcs, especially the three towering Behemoths, wore expressions of complete astonishment.
“Humans, where is our King?”
A Behemoth roared in fury, the violent air blasting toward them. With its roar, the very fabric of space seemed to collapse in layers.
Three Behemoths appeared high in the sky, their enormous bodies threatening to crush the entire world beneath them. Their crimson pupils locked onto the three kings below.
“The Behemoth King? Naturally, he was slain!” The King of the Purple Blossom Kingdom let out a faint laugh, his face pale, blood still dripping from his wounds, but his aura remained terrifying.
“That’s right, it seems a few other Behemoths were also slain.”
“Here, take a look!” The King of the Tulip Kingdom also laughed lightly, as if recalling something. He raised a hand.
A massive black shadow suddenly dropped from midair.
Boom!
The enormous form that landed was unmistakably a Behemoth.
But at that moment, this Seven-Step Behemoth’s aura had completely vanished, unmistakably dead beyond any doubt.
Roar!
“You humans will die!”
The three Seven-Step Behemoths howled in rage. Their immense power spread across the heavens, and in the next moment, they charged directly at the three kings.
In that moment, their anger almost entirely overshadowed their reason.
Their immense vitality surged, and the bodies of the Behemoths grew even larger.
They were determined to tear these humans apart.
However, just as they moved, the three kings also acted.
Vroom!
Terrifying Divine Domain power spread, and in an instant, the vast force of their energy intertwined across the entire world.
The three kings acted simultaneously.
The Divine Domain aura spread, the powerful energies of high-level gods emanating through the heavens.
In the next moment, spears, fists, and knightly greatswords fell.
Before the three Behemoths could even react, the tremendous force from above seemed to slam down onto their enormous bodies. In the next moment, they were sent flying as if they had been grievously injured.
Boom!
Boom!
Boom!
The three figures landed, leaving behind trails of collapsing space.
With just a single strike, the three Behemoths were heavily injured.
Cough! Cough! Cough!
“You don’t think that just barely entering the Seven-Step realm is enough to deal with us, do you?” A mocking voice rang from the King of the Blazing Kingdom.
The three kings stood tall in midair, seemingly motionless, but the invisible pressure they emanated weighed heavily on the entire orc tribe.
The Behemoths, enraged, dared not speak, and even the Six-Step orcs instinctively began to retreat.
Without the restraint of the Behemoth King and several of the Seven-Step Behemoths, these forces could not withstand the might of the three kings. Even though the three kings’ auras were now clearly weaker and they appeared on the brink of collapse, the three figures still felt like an insurmountable wall, blocking every orc’s gaze, every ounce of their power.
The three Behemoths struggled to rise, the remnants of divine power from the kings still clinging to their enormous bodies, gradually wearing them down.
“Retreat!”
Among the three Behemoths, the tallest one looked at the kings, its massive pupils full of rage, but in that moment, it understood that retreat was the only option.
Even though the three human kings were visibly wounded, and might not be able to strike again, the risks of staying were too great.
The Behemoths had lost their king and several of their most powerful beasts. They could not afford to annihilate them here.
As long as they retreated to the Holy Mountain and drew on the power of the Titan God, they would still have a chance.
“Deguri!” One of the Behemoths growled in frustration.
“Retreat to the Holy Mountain!” Another voice rasped in command.
With reluctance and fury, the Behemoths lowered their heads, their vicious glares fixed on the humans, before turning to retreat.
As the Behemoths pulled back, the Six-Step orcs quickly followed suit, retreating just as swiftly as they had come.
A rumble echoed through the air.
Their retreat was even faster than their initial advance.
Hoo!
As they watched the orcs retreat, the King of the Tulip Kingdom exhaled deeply, nearly stumbling, but was steadied by the King of the Purple Blossom Kingdom.
“That one was almost at Eight Steps… it almost went to meet the Goddess of Life,” the Tulip King sighed.
“Let’s go. This is our opportunity.”
“I hope those youngsters perform well,” the King of the Purple Blossom Kingdom said, managing a smile.
Despite the enormous price they had paid—damaging three divine artifacts and each of them being severely wounded, with recovery requiring at least a decade or more—the gains were unimaginable.
The Behemoth King had been exiled, and a Seven-Step Behemoth had been slain.
Inevitably, the entire orc tribe would have to retract to the north. Their northern province could now expand even further.
This expansion would significantly enhance the strength of their kingdom.
And as the kingdom grew stronger, their spoils in the coming wars would only increase.
With more resources, their victories in the outer domains would also multiply.
Considering all this, their sacrifices seemed trivial.
The three kings exchanged looks and couldn’t help but smile.
Then, orders were swiftly given, and the northern defense line immediately began to mobilize.
The knightly orders of the Purple Blossom Kingdom and Blazing Kingdom quickly withdrew from the northern line, needing to return to their own kingdoms.
Meanwhile, the forces of the Tulip Kingdom began expanding further into the north.
Groups of knightly orders began to take action.
At this moment, even the Divine Domain experts were participating.
And it was expected that over the coming months, the other two major kingdoms would act in tandem.
The northern province’s boundaries might soon expand even further.
No.
Perhaps, it should be said that a new province would soon be born.
At this moment, every knight stationed along the northern defense line had their eyes shining.
This was a limitless opportunity, and if they seized it, titles like Baron, Viscount, or even Earl or Marquis were within reach.
Figures were in motion.
At the same time, the powerful orc tribes began to retreat.
The loss of the Behemoth King shattered the fragile balance between the orcs and the Three Kingdoms. As high-level orc tribes, no one is foolish; they all understood exactly what needed to be done.
However, they received orders to evacuate.
The second, third, and even fourth- and fifth-tier orc tribes, however, did not get the message to retreat.
Soon, human knight brigades that entered orc territory clashed with these northern orc tribes.
Fierce battles broke out in quick succession.
It was expected that this would be a long-lasting war of expansion.
The entire Northern Province and the northern situation would undergo drastic changes.
Tor, who was in the Eagle Territory, did not receive more accurate news until several days later.
The message that Steve brought earlier had already taken him by surprise.
The orcs’ large-scale invasion, the gathering of the Three Kingdoms’ forces—it made him truly fear the outbreak of a full-scale war. While no daily intelligence reports had suggested such a threat, as long as the orc war didn’t directly affect him and was within three months, it would be difficult to get any detailed information.
The possibility of a full-scale war still loomed in the future.
And just as he was nervously and anxiously waiting for more updates, new information arrived after several days.
Inside his study, Thor stood up suddenly, his face changing rapidly as he looked at the message Steve had brought.
Even he had not expected the outcome to be like this.
Though the kings of the Three Kingdoms undoubtedly had their own methods, in comparison to the orc tribes, the strength of the Three Kingdoms was actually somewhat lacking.
Not even comparing it to the orcs—just with the Behemoth beasts alone, the difference wasn’t much.
Moreover, with the Divine Domain war, which was said to last at least a thousand days, Thor had never imagined the situation would turn around so quickly.
In less than a month, the result had already been determined.
And the result was enough to shake him to his core.
The Behemoth King was dead.
Even the body of the Seventh-Order Behemoth beast, which had been taken along, was found.
The three kings of the Three Kingdoms had returned safely.
This situation had completely reversed the political landscape in the north, and even the situation of the Three Kingdoms had been turned upside down.
Inside the study, Thor paced back and forth, his mind racing with thoughts.
For him, this news was not just shocking—it raised an even more crucial question: such news would inevitably change the entire northern defense situation, and the Northern Province would be entirely different from now on.
“Steve, bring Uncle Michael and Uncle Cheshire here.”
“Also, have Uncle Marshall come as well.”
After a moment of thought, Thor took a deep breath and looked at Steve, speaking slowly.
“Yes!”
Steve responded respectfully and left immediately.
After Steve left, Thor’s thoughts continued to swirl in his mind.
It wasn’t long before the door to the study was pushed open.
Uncles Michael, Cheshire, and Marshall arrived one after another. Thor snapped out of his reverie and turned his attention to them.
“Young Master Thor, did you need something from us?”
Seeing Thor gaze, Michael spoke with a puzzled expression.
He had been training the fledgling Eagle Knight Brigade and was surprised to be called in suddenly.
Cheshire and Marshall were also confused.
At that moment, Cheshire had just been preparing to depart, while Marshall was still stabilizing his cultivation.
Three days ago, with Thor’s support, Marshall had successfully entered the Earth Knight rank, but his life force was not yet stable. He needed a few more days to solidify it before becoming a true Earth Knight.
“Uncle Michael, Uncle Cheshire, Uncle Marshall, the situation in the north may have undergone significant changes.”
Thor spoke slowly, his expression serious.
“Significant changes?”
Hearing Thor words, the three exchanged confused glances.
In response to their confusion, Thor paused for a moment, then began to recount what had happened on the northern front.
As they listened to Thor, the three men’s expressions shifted from confusion to disbelief, their pupils contracting and breaths becoming heavier.
“Young Master Thor, is this true?”
Michael couldn’t help but ask, his voice trembling with shock.
“The situation should be accurate. It’s the news that Steve brought back,” Thor confirmed. “And I believe we will receive news here in the Northern Province soon.”
Thor nodded firmly.
He didn’t doubt the truth of the message.
After all, the possibility of such a message being fabricated was very slim.
Listening to Thor’s confirmation, the three men exchanged glances, and waves of unease rippled through their minds.
Even for them, this was a massive bombshell.
And just as Thor had said, the entire political landscape was likely to undergo a significant transformation.
For a moment, none of them spoke; instead, they fell into deep thought.
Thor also remained silent, his mind swirling with thoughts as he considered the impact of these changes on him.
Time passed slowly, and the study gradually fell into silence.
After a while, Michael let out a long sigh and spoke again.
“Young Master Thor, this is good news for the Northern Province. A larger Northern Province, with broader territories, will attract more noble heirs to come and explore. It’s likely that the entire kingdom will soon undergo a great wave of expansion. But for you, at least in the short term, it may not be so?”
Michael’s voice rang out, capturing the attention of Thor and the other two.
“Indeed, more powerful noble heirs will come, and it’s very likely that the heirs of those ten marquis families will join as well.”
“No, not just likely—it’s certain. A larger and more expansive region will be enough to support another marquis family, and even give rise to new Sky Knights. No one will miss out on this opportunity.”
Michael spoke slowly, and Cheshire chimed in as well.
