**Chapter 70: Rachos Assad’s Shock**

Thor was unaware of everything happening in the Lawrence territory at the moment, nor did it concern him much. After securing the stability of Eagle Ridge’s external environment, his next focus was the internal development of the domain.

Following two successful battles, Thor had not only gained a large number of slaves but had also rewarded many with significant merits. Among them, several slaves earned enough merit points to attain the status of freemen.

Half a month later, after the counting was complete, Thor directly announced the liberation of 300 serfs. Additionally, 20 individuals were granted the opportunity to join the reserve knight corps.

This news stirred immense excitement throughout Eagle Ridge, both among freemen and serfs. Once again, Thor’s decisions had proven that earning merit could lead to tangible rewards, filling everyone with pride and renewed dedication.

The construction of the domain entered a period of rapid growth.

Two weeks later…

At the stables, Thor stood before a very docile unicorn, a look of surprise crossing his face.

He hadn’t expected that in just a month, Allen had managed to tame this unicorn leader.

“Master, this unicorn should be ready to advance in about six months,” Allen reported respectfully. “It’s already fully trained for riding.”

“Well done!” Thor smiled with satisfaction. “Go to Raine, and he’ll record your merit points.”

Without hesitation, Thor leaped onto the unicorn’s back. The creature, now accustomed to a rider, remained calm and did not resist as it once had, a sign of its full domestication.

Thor tugged on the reins, and the unicorn began to move. He rode it around for a while, feeling the wind rush past his ears as he galloped.

His smile grew even wider.

A peak Tier 2 unicorn with such speed and power gave Thor confidence that, once he finalized their bond, he could escape from even an Earth Knight if necessary. And once the unicorn advanced to Tier 3, he would be able to handle most threats in the Northern Province.

“Master, Lord Rachos has returned. He will arrive at Eagle Ridge in an hour,” a knight reported, approaching Thor just as he dismounted.

“Rachos?” Thor paused for a moment, then smiled. “Alright, let’s go greet him.”

With a pull of the reins, Thor set off toward the outskirts of Eagle Ridge, followed by a group of knights.

At the same time, on the road…

Rachos Assad and his caravan were making their way toward Eagle Ridge. As they traveled, Rachos was deep in thought.

Over the past few months, his trade ventures had proven incredibly lucrative.

On his first trip alone, his profits exceeded 500 gold coins. And this time, with three silver suits of armor, several sets of black iron armor, and the other goods he carried, his earnings had surpassed 3,000 gold coins.

This was by far the most significant haul he had ever made in the Northern Province.

And it was only the beginning.

Although Rachos had been busy with trade, he had kept himself informed about the ongoing wars. He knew that Eagle Ridge had not only defeated the Lawrence domain but had also bested Valmy and Graton, becoming the undisputed ruler of the Maine River Valley.

Previously, when traveling along trade routes, not every frontier lord had treated Rachos with respect. Some had even considered robbing him, and if it hadn’t been for the knights Thor provided, he might have been plundered.

But this time, following the news of Eagle Ridge’s victories, every frontier lord along the way treated him with great respect, careful not to show any disrespect. Some even offered him better trade deals than usual.

This had greatly increased his profit margins.

Without Thor’s influence, Rachos wasn’t sure he would have made it back alive with such a fortune.

Still, more than his earnings, what intrigued Rachos most was the power of Eagle Ridge.

This formidable lord had given him a spark of hope—one that stirred his heart with excitement.

“Maybe, just maybe, I really can achieve it,” Rachos thought, eyes gleaming with anticipation.

As these thoughts filled his mind, Thor appeared in the distance, riding toward him.

When Rachos caught sight of Thor’s mount, his eyes widened in astonishment.

“My goodness, my friend, you never cease to amaze me! Is that a peak Tier 2 unicorn?” Rachos exclaimed, unable to tear his gaze away from the creature.

With his sharp eye, Rachos immediately recognized the unicorn’s level, and the sight of Thor casually riding such a beast left him speechless.

“Yes, it was a fortunate find,” Thor replied with a casual smile. “Welcome back, my friend. From the look on your face, I can tell this trip was highly profitable.”

“It was indeed!” Rachos, still in awe, nodded. “Thanks to your victories, I’ve never had an easier time selling my goods.”

“That’s great news!” Thor’s eyes lit up. “Come, I’ve prepared a grand feast. You must be hungry.”

“I certainly am! I haven’t eaten in six hours,” Rachos said with a laugh.

Together, they headed into Eagle Ridge.

In just two months, the domain had transformed even more, with noticeable changes in its development. As Rachos took in the sight, he couldn’t help but marvel at the progress.

On his travels, he had visited many frontier lords, but none had developed their domains as quickly as Thor had. The level of progress in Eagle Ridge was unparalleled.

More strikingly, unlike many lifeless domains he had seen, Eagle Ridge was full of energy. Both freemen and serfs seemed lively and full of purpose.

“My friend, every time I visit, your domain leaves me in awe,” Rachos remarked, full of admiration.
