GROIKTP Chapter 31-40

This entry is part 5 of 534 in the series Global Reincarnation: Only i Know the Plot

Carrying his sniper rifle, Chen Ye quickly made his way to a building opposite the police station.

He climbed to the fifth floor, found a window, and set up his sniper rifle, aiming at the rooftop of the police station.

More precisely, he was aiming at the young man nicknamed “Ye Gucheng.”

Chen Ye was never a saint.

When someone threatened his life, he always retaliated. He had a reputation to uphold as the “Shura.”

Moreover, he coveted the black blade Shusui in Ye Gucheng’s possession.

At that moment, on the rooftop, Ye Gucheng was wielding the black blade, slicing through zombies effortlessly. Each swing of the blade cleaved the zombies in half, toppling them like chopped vegetables.

In no time, dozens of zombies lay at Ye Gucheng’s feet.

Seeing this, Chen Ye’s desire for the blade grew even stronger.

He raised his gun, took aim, and without hesitation, pulled the trigger…

Bang!

A bullet shot out from the rifle, heading straight for Ye Gucheng on the police station rooftop.

This body of his had a “Shooting” skill, with proficiency at an expert level.

Although he wasn’t a marksman, hitting an unguarded target at such close range was easy.

Through the sniper scope, Chen Ye saw Ye Gucheng’s left leg suddenly burst into blood, and he dropped to one knee…

The shot had shattered Ye Gucheng’s leg!

Ye Gucheng was already struggling to fend off so many zombies.

With his leg severely injured, it became a fatal blow.

In moments, the swarm of zombies overwhelmed Ye Gucheng on the rooftop.

In his final moments, Ye Gucheng gave up resisting, turned sharply, and stared fiercely at the building across the street.

He saw Chen Ye smiling and waving at him!

“Ahhh!!!”

Ye Gucheng roared in defiance, full of hatred, as he was devoured by the zombies…

 Inside the Building

Watching Ye Gucheng get torn apart, Chen Ye silently packed up his sniper rifle, reflecting on the event.

This was the first person to die because of him.

One could say Ye Gucheng died directly at his hands.

The weight of taking a life didn’t feel good.

However, given the chance again, Chen Ye would make the same choice.

Anyone daring to target him should be prepared for retaliation!

Compassion had no place in the Reincarnation Tower.

Exhaling heavily, Chen Ye took his sniper rifle and left the building.

As he walked along the street, the zombies made way for him.

Chen Ye returned to the rooftop of the police station.

He came to collect weapons.

The black blade Shusui was a valuable sword!

By the time Chen Ye reached the rooftop, Ye Gucheng’s body was gone.

The zombies had devoured every piece of him…

“What a mess!” Chen Ye commented insincerely as he picked up the black blade Shusui from the ground.

As soon as Chen Ye touched the black blade, a notification sounded in his mind:

“Ding! Special item detected!”

“Note: Special items can be carried out of this world and used in other scenarios.”

Hearing the system prompt, Chen Ye’s eyes lit up, delighted as he picked up the blade.

Shusui was heavy, weighing at least a dozen kilograms.

Fortunately, Chen Ye was now strong enough to handle it with ease.

He swung it a couple of times in the air, then slashed at a nearby zombie.

Splurt!

Just like cutting a watermelon, the zombie was effortlessly cleaved in two.

“Great sword!” Chen Ye exclaimed in joy.

This was a significant gain.

Indeed, looting was the quickest way to get rich!

Suddenly, all surviving reincarnators received a system notification:

“Attention, reincarnators: 30 minutes remaining until the mission ends…”

Hearing the prompt, Chen Ye sheathed the black blade Shusui and left the rooftop.

He went back inside the police station, found a room, locked it, and lay down on the sofa to rest.

Chen Ye was extremely exhausted.

The effects of the virus and the stimulants were wreaking havoc on his body.

For the next half hour, Chen Ye planned to rest, not killing any more zombies.

He had already killed over a hundred thousand zombies, firmly securing his place at the top!

The police station was very safe.

With so many zombies around, no reincarnators would dare to approach.

The half-hour passed quickly.

When the countdown ended, all surviving reincarnators were transported out…

—————-

Chapter 32

[Congratulations!]

[Congratulations! Reincarnator ‘Shura’ has performed exceptionally well in the Reincarnation Tower instance world ‘World War Z,’ killing 117,843 zombies within 10 hours, far exceeding the mission requirements and earning a perfect rating: SSS!”]

 [Divine Rating: SSS!]

In the Reincarnation Plaza, the instance hall, and among the reincarnators currently on missions in various instance worlds, the entire Reincarnation Space echoed with this broadcast.

An SSS divine rating had appeared again, and once more, it was awarded to “Shura.”

The news shocked every reincarnator who heard it. Soon, the entire Reincarnation Space was abuzz with excitement.

“Whoa, another SSS rating? And it’s Shura again?”

“Incredible! Who is this ‘Shura’?”

“SSS ratings seem so easy now? I haven’t even gotten a B rating yet!”

“Didn’t Shura clear an instance just last night? How is there no one-month cooldown? Is he cheating?”

“Don’t you know about ‘Instance Cooldown Refresh Cards’? Although I’ve only heard about them, never seen one myself…”

“My best rating was a B. Compared to Shura, it’s really disheartening.”

“Stop joking. Look at yourself, what makes you think you can compare to Shura?”

“Twice now, two SSS ratings! And this time, it’s from a Reincarnation Tower instance world. Shura is amazing!”

“Nearly 120,000 zombies killed? Insane! How did Shura do it?”

“I’m in awe. Please, Shura, take me as your disciple!”

“World War Z? I heard that instance world is extremely dangerous. More than half of those who take on missions there don’t make it back. Shura is truly incredible.”

“I’ve tried World War Z. I can’t understand how he managed to kill nearly 120,000 zombies in 10 hours. Even if they lined up for him, he couldn’t kill that many!”

“Tomorrow’s internet will explode. Shura will definitely trend!”

“Absolutely, and I’m sure the government will be on high alert, even foreign governments.”

“Indeed, there’s no ‘first clear’ concept in Reincarnation Tower instances. If Shura shares his strategy, it could create a wave of strong reincarnators.”

“Envy, jealousy, and resentment. Why can’t I be like Shura?”

The Reincarnation Space was bustling with discussions.

Everyone was speculating on the impact Shura’s achievement would have on the Reincarnation Space.

This was a Reincarnation Tower instance, with no ‘first clear’ bonus.

The second person to achieve an SSS rating, besides missing out on item rewards, could still receive 100 points.

Unlike safe zone instances, where the point rewards are halved after the first clear.

If Shura shared his strategy, a batch of strong reincarnators would surely emerge.

Not to mention, an SSS rating in a Reincarnation Tower instance world could produce a D-level expert.

On a larger scale, Shura’s emergence could shift the balance of power between nations.

If Shura shared his strategy with a government, that nation could produce a group of D-level experts.

While D-level experts aren’t top-tier, they are unmatched by ordinary soldiers, even special forces.

If enough are trained, they could form a terrifying army.

Realizing this, many were astounded.

 Reporting to Authorities

Naturally, those in power recognized this as well.

Many reincarnators abruptly logged off to report the news.

In the real world, many influential people were awakened by urgent phone calls…

 Back in the Reincarnation Space

Ake hadn’t logged off yet.

Although Chen Ye spent ten hours in the “World War Z” instance, only an hour had passed in the Reincarnation Space.

Unable to enter an instance herself, Ake was about to log off and go to bed when she heard the system broadcast, her face full of shock.

“Shura…”

She was astonished. Last night, Shura had earned an SSS rating in a safe zone instance. Tonight, he did it again in a terrifying Reincarnation Tower instance.

“…Who exactly are you?” Ake murmured to herself.

After a moment of hesitation, Ake decided to try contacting Shura…

————————-

CHapter 33

 At This Moment

Chen Ye was enveloped in a warm red light, feeling a soothing warmth all over his body.

The red light seemed to have a healing effect, quickly dispelling the negative status effects on Chen Ye.

During the healing process, a series of notifications echoed in Chen Ye’s mind:

“Congratulations, Reincarnator ‘Shura,’ on completing your mission. Your rewards are as follows:”

“Reincarnation Points: 30,000.”

“Strength Attribute +20!”

“Personal Instance Card x1 (stored in your personal warehouse).”

“Golden Treasure Chest x1 (stored in your personal warehouse).”

“Note: You have become a full-fledged reincarnator and can no longer access safe zone instance worlds or the first layer of the Reincarnation Tower instance worlds.”

Hearing the system’s notifications, Chen Ye’s eyes lit up.

As expected of a Reincarnation Tower instance world!

The rewards were indeed exceptional.

The 30,000 Reincarnation Points alone were a pleasant surprise.

Not to mention the mysterious Golden Treasure Chest!

The Personal Instance Card was also valuable.

According to the system, using a Personal Instance Card allowed one to enter a personal instance without competing against other reincarnators, with plentiful rewards.

It was essentially free points!

When the red light’s healing ended, Chen Ye found himself back in the Reincarnation Plaza.

“You have a new communication message. ‘Ake’ invites you to a video call. Please respond promptly,” the system suddenly prompted.

Actually, at this moment, many people were trying to contact Chen Ye.

Countless people were looking for “Shura.”

However, Chen Ye had previously instructed the system to intercept video call requests, except from Ake.

Hearing the system prompt, Chen Ye paused briefly before smiling and accepting the video call.

“Ake, aren’t you unable to enter instances today? Why haven’t you logged off to sleep?” Chen Ye asked with a smile.

Ake looked at Chen Ye with a complex expression and honestly replied, “I was just discussing strategies with a few friends, planning to invite them for the next instance.”

After speaking, Ake felt a bit puzzled.

Why did she answer Shura’s question so truthfully?

And!

What did he just call her?

Ake??

Chen Ye nodded, “So, why did you contact me?”

Ake’s expression became serious, “I just heard the system broadcast… Congratulations, Shura. You’ve achieved another divine rating. I suppose many people are looking for you now.”

Hearing this, Chen Ye felt a headache coming on.

The system seemed determined to announce his divine rating to the entire Reincarnation Space, as if it wanted everyone to be jealous…

Chen Ye only wanted to grow quietly and reap the benefits in silence.

The system’s broadcast had disrupted his plans, making him a celebrity in the Reincarnation Space.

This was not what Chen Ye wanted.

“Shura…”

Ake hesitated, then finally asked, “Can you sell me the strategy for the ‘World War Z’ instance world?”

“I’m afraid not!” Chen Ye shook his head with a smile. “This isn’t a safe zone instance; it’s different. You can’t afford my price, and selling it to you might not be beneficial. Can you guarantee your real identity hasn’t been compromised?”

The strategy for the “World War Z” instance world was useless to Chen Ye now.

He couldn’t re-enter that world.

Chen Ye did consider selling it, but not for money—he wanted to trade for things he needed!

Such as special items!

Clearly, Ake, still stuck in the safe zone, didn’t have any special items.

“You’re right,” Ake sighed, then cautioned, “Shura, many major powers are looking for you now. They want your strategy. Reincarnation Tower instances don’t have a first clear bonus, so even the second person to achieve an SSS rating, besides missing the item reward, can still get 100 points. Such points can easily cultivate a D-level expert. If a power gets your strategy, they could quickly produce many D-level experts…”

“So your strategy is very important. I hope you won’t sell it to evil organizations or hostile governments.”

“Thank you for the warning, little Ake,” Chen Ye replied with a smile.

He wasn’t foolish.

He had already considered everything Ake mentioned.

“…Can you stop adding ‘little’ before my name?”

“Why? Are you big? Show me where you’re big!”

“…”

Prompt: The other party has ended the call.

Watching the video window go dark, Chen Ye chuckled and closed it. He then went to his personal warehouse.

A golden treasure chest appeared in his view.

—————-

Chapter 34

 Personal Warehouse

In the Reincarnation Space, one could access the personal warehouse anytime and anywhere, and with just a thought, retrieve items from it.

Chen Ye chose to enter his personal warehouse to avoid drawing attention from others in the Reincarnation Plaza when opening the treasure chest, in case any unusual phenomena occurred.

The personal warehouse could also serve as a temporary room.

Upon entering, Chen Ye found himself in a spacious, square room. Each wall had shelves for storing items.

At the moment, three items were on the shelves: the black blade Shusui, a Personal Instance Card, and a golden treasure chest.

Chen Ye took the treasure chest off the shelf, opened it slowly with excitement and anticipation…

A burst of golden light flashed!

Immediately, the system’s notification sounded:

“Congratulations! You have opened the golden treasure chest and obtained the ability: Telekinesis!”

“Telekinesis: The power to extend one’s strong will, allowing you to manipulate objects at will!”

“Note: The stronger your mental strength, the stronger your will! With sufficient mental strength, you can even move the planet beneath your feet!”

In the next moment, Chen Ye felt a change in his mental state, as if his mind could extend outwards…

After hearing the system’s notification, Chen Ye was initially stunned, then overjoyed.

“Holy! This is amazing!!” Chen Ye couldn’t help but shout.

The system’s description was incredibly powerful.

Moving planets with his mind? That was astonishingly exaggerated.

Eager to test his new ability, Chen Ye focused on the black blade Shusui on the shelf, staring intently at it.

Instantly, he felt a mysterious force emanate from his brain and make contact with Shusui.

It felt like he had gained an invisible arm…

As he instinctively mimicked a lifting motion with his hand, Shusui moved slightly.

In the next moment, an extraordinary phenomenon occurred.

Shusui began to tremble, then wobbled and floated up, seemingly controlled by an invisible force…

Clang!

Shusui suddenly fell to the ground, making a loud noise.

This was due to Chen Ye’s inexperience with controlling his telekinesis, resulting in a mistake.

Despite the mishap, Chen Ye was filled with excitement.

“So this is telekinesis? Truly a magical superpower!!”

Next, Chen Ye continued to practice using telekinesis to control Shusui.

Gradually, he became more adept at using it, eventually being able to make Shusui perform slashing motions in mid-air.

It was incredibly fascinating!

After a while, Chen Ye suddenly felt a sharp pain in his head and a nosebleed.

“This dizziness and weakness… must be from mental exhaustion.”

Chen Ye removed his mask and wiped his nosebleed.

Shusui was already heavy; even holding it with hands was challenging for an ordinary person.

Using telekinesis to control it continuously placed a heavy burden on Chen Ye.

At least with his current mental strength, the load was substantial.

“It seems I need to enhance my mental strength!”

-Attribute Enhancement

Physique, Spirit, Strength, Agility!

These four basic attributes were crucial, representing Chen Ye’s physical fitness.

Increasing physique would make Chen Ye stronger, boosting immunity, vitality, and resistance to injury.

Increasing spirit would enhance Chen Ye’s mind, strengthening his willpower and sharpening his senses.

Increasing strength was self-explanatory—it would boost Chen Ye’s physical power.

Increasing agility would affect Chen Ye’s movement speed, reflexes, and coordination.

All four attributes were indispensable.

However, with the new, powerful ability of telekinesis, Chen Ye decided to focus on enhancing his spirit.

Telekinesis allowed for the manipulation of objects and, if used correctly, could be a deadly weapon.

Chen Ye began to exchange potential points.

In “World War Z,” Chen Ye had earned 30,000 Reincarnation Points, and with his existing 4,122 points, he now had a total of 34,122 Reincarnation Points.

If he used all of them, he could exchange for 113 potential points.

After some consideration, Chen Ye chose to exchange for 100 potential points, keeping over 4,000 points in reserve.

Moments later, the potential points were distributed.

[Name: Shura

———————-

Chapter 35

 At This Moment

A burning pain surged through Chen Ye’s arm.

In the next moment, the E-level symbol in the center of the crescent moon tattoo on his arm disappeared, replaced by a C-level symbol.

“It skipped the D-level rating and went straight to C-level?”

Chen Ye was very surprised.

Actually, based on his current basic attributes, his overall rating should only be D-level.

It was the amplification of his telekinesis that directly boosted his strength rating to C-level.

“No wonder they say online that the Reincarnation Tower is the only way to get stronger. It’s true!”

Chen Ye then used his telekinesis to control the black blade Shusui.

“Buzz!”

Shusui soared into the air and hovered.

Now, with Chen Ye’s mental strength ten times that of a normal person (100 points), his willpower was strong, and his telekinesis had increased four to five times. Controlling Shusui again was incredibly easy.

Initially, Chen Ye wanted to allocate all 100 potential points to his mental attribute.

However.

After his mental attribute reached 100, the system prompted that any single attribute exceeding 100 couldn’t surpass twice the lowest attribute.

In simple terms, to increase his mental attribute further, Chen Ye needed to raise his other three attributes to at least 50.

This was the system’s way of ensuring all reincarnators maintained a balanced body.

Without this requirement, reincarnators would focus on a single attribute, resulting in imbalanced, monstrous physiques.

Next.

Chen Ye waved his finger.

Under his control, Shusui performed various slashing motions in mid-air.

“Whoosh! Whoosh!”

The blade sliced through the air with a sharp sound.

No wonder the system rated Chen Ye’s overall strength at C-level.

Telekinesis was incredibly hard to defend against.

Imagine Chen Ye using telekinesis to wield Shusui against someone. How could an ordinary D-level expert defend?

Moreover, telekinesis could also restrict an enemy’s movements.

Thinking further.

Chen Ye could control a swarm of small flying knives with his telekinesis, attacking from all directions. Could a D-level expert withstand that?

In a flash, Shusui flew back into Chen Ye’s hand under his telekinetic control.

He swung it a few times, admiring the sharp black blade. “Great sword!”

Now, with his strength attribute at 45 points (task reward +20 points), wielding Shusui felt effortless.

After placing Shusui back on the shelf, Chen Ye picked up the “Personal Instance” card.

As the name suggested, this card allowed him to enter a solo instance world without competition from other reincarnators.

Moreover.

According to the system, solo instance worlds had no mandatory tasks and wouldn’t lead to death for failure, making them relatively safe.

A valuable item!

Chen Ye decided to save the Personal Instance card for another time.

He then left his personal warehouse.

He had a batch of gold bars stored in the Reincarnation Space. With two hours passed in the real world, he needed to handle them quickly.

After three hours, the Reincarnation Space would confiscate them.

 In the Real World

Back in his room, Chen Ye returned with a box of gold bars.

The box wasn’t heavy, only a few dozen pounds, less than a hundred pounds.

It wasn’t that Ake shortchanged Chen Ye.

The current market price for gold was 380 yuan per gram.

Twenty million yuan could buy around 100 pounds of gold bars.

He hid the gold bars under his bed.

Chen Ye then lay down to sleep.

He’d deal with the gold bars later when he had time!

– Meanwhile –

As Chen Ye rested, his name, “Shura,” had already appeared on the desks of leaders of various major forces…

Several influential organizations even held emergency meetings overnight because of him!

A strategy for obtaining a divine rating in a Reincarnation Tower instance world was enough to keep countless important figures awake.

Moreover, this was a strategy for the first level of the Reincarnation Tower, making it even more significant!

—————–

Chapter 36

 The Capital

In a luxurious courtyard mansion, a commotion suddenly erupted.

Many of the residents of the courtyard got up and hurried to a room.

At this time, it was already 5:30 AM.

The Reincarnation Space opens at midnight and closes at 5 AM.

Seeing that the room was empty, a woman cried out in grief, “Jin’er!”

Her son had not returned to reality in time, indicating that something went wrong during the instance, and he was forever left in that world.

Among the crowd was an elderly man in a wheelchair.

Though appearing to be in his late seventies or eighties and with limited mobility, the old man exuded an extraordinary presence, with a commanding aura that demanded attention.

This was the demeanor of someone who had held a high position for a long time.

At this moment, the old man’s expression was a mix of grief and anger.

His most cherished grandson had ventured into the first layer of the Reincarnation Tower that night but had not returned…

The Reincarnation Space closes at 5 AM, and all living reincarnators are forcibly returned to reality at that time.

Since his grandson had not returned, it was clear he had perished.

After a long silence, the old man called out softly, “Old Third!”

A middle-aged man in his early thirties standing behind the old man stepped forward.

“Father, what are your orders?”

This middle-aged man had a fierce presence, with well-built muscles and thick calluses on his knuckles. His sharp eyes were as intimidating as a hawk’s.

Furthermore, the middle-aged man constantly exuded a bloodthirsty aura.

He was none other than “One Leaf Autumn,” ranked 97th on the global expert list of the Reincarnation Space.

The old man said in a deep voice, “Although the Reincarnation Tower is fraught with danger and deaths are common, no one from our Ye family should die without a clear reason. Use your connections in the Reincarnation Space to find out how Jin’er died!”

“Yes, Father. Don’t worry, by tonight, I will have accurate information.”

“Good,” the old man nodded, then warned, “You must also be careful in there. Our Ye family is not what it once was. Now, we rely on you, so you must take care of your own safety.”

“I understand, Father!”

After speaking with the old man, the middle-aged man turned to the crying woman, saying, “Sister-in-law, don’t worry. I will find out the truth and give you an explanation.”

 Morning

When Chen Ye woke up, he immediately noticed a difference in his perception of the world.

More precisely, his mind was clearer, and his senses were significantly sharper.

The most noticeable changes were in his vision and hearing.

He could see the lingering moisture in the air and hear the traffic noise from the road outside the residential complex clearly.

These heightened senses were unprecedented.

Chen Ye knew these changes were due to his mental strength reaching three digits.

He should have noticed these changes the previous night but had been too exhausted.

In the “World War Z” instance, he had killed zombies for nearly ten hours and suffered from the effects of illness and the side effects of stimulants, leaving him physically and mentally drained.

Although the Reincarnation Space healed all his negative conditions after completing the mission, he was still extremely fatigued.

So, after returning to reality, Chen Ye collapsed onto his bed and slept soundly.

Now, feeling refreshed, Chen Ye noticed the changes in himself.

He got up, washed, and saw that it was already 7:30 AM.

His father hadn’t returned, likely working late.

Not worrying about it, Chen Ye grabbed some cash, bought breakfast outside, and headed to school while eating.

Upon arriving at school, Chen Ye overheard numerous students talking behind his back… or rather, discussing his alias “Shura.”

“Damn, Shura is amazing! He got another SSS divine rating!”

“Yeah, it’s incredible. I heard many people are looking for him. Someone even offered a billion for his strategy.”

“He got an SSS rating in the safe zone just the night before last, and last night he did it again in the Reincarnation Tower. That’s insane…”

“I’ve decided, Shura is my new idol!”

“The most impressive part about Shura is the SSS rating he got last night. It’s a big deal… ‘World War Z’ is the first instance in the Reincarnation Tower, the one everyone must pass! It was so dangerous before that many didn’t dare try it. But now, with Shura, everything’s different. If he shares his strategy, imagine how many strong reincarnators it could create!”

A smart student analyzed.

His analysis drew the agreement of many surrounding students.

“Yeah, if Shura shared his strategy, it would be great.”

“I think it would benefit all humanity if Shura shared his strategy.”

“I also think Shura should share it for free to help strengthen young people globally. Keeping it secret isn’t a good practice.”

“Oh, shut up! You’re just jealous of Shura’s strategy. Why should he let you benefit from his hard work?”

“I agree with sharing the strategy, but only for our country’s use…”

“Idiot, if Shura’s strategy spreads, you think foreign powers won’t get hold of it?”

As Chen Ye listened to these students’ discussions, he initially found them interesting.

But as the conversation progressed, he started to frown.

—————–

Chapter 37

The students’ discussion initially centered around their admiration for Chen Ye.

But as the conversation continued, it shifted to whether Shura should make the “World War Z” instance strategy public.

A few selfish individuals were eager for Shura to reveal the strategy.

However, most students had a more balanced perspective and opposed the idea.

Chen Ye frowned and took out his phone to browse the internet.

Unsurprisingly, Shura’s name was once again trending across the web.

This time, the buzz was far more significant than before!

Not only were netizens talking about it, but major media outlets were also reporting it.

**”The Strongest Genius in Reincarnation Space Emerges, and His Name is Shura!”**

**”Who Exactly is Shura?”**

**”According to several reincarnators who have interacted with Shura, he speaks Chinese and is likely from China!”**

The Reincarnation Tower instances were far more challenging than those in the safe zones.

Moreover, Chen Ye achieving an SSS divine rating in the first layer of the Reincarnation Tower was particularly significant.

This was a path every aspiring reincarnator had to take to become stronger.

The implications were profound.

As that student earlier mentioned, many avoided the Reincarnation Tower due to its dangers. But with an SSS-rated strategy available, everything could change.

Hence, the current buzz was overwhelming.

“This Shura guy is simply amazing!”

“I’ve tried the ‘World War Z’ instance, and the zombies are incredibly tough. I can’t imagine how Shura managed to kill over 100,000 zombies in ten hours.”

“Killing over 100,000 zombies, Shura must be insane!”

“With Shura’s talent, it’s only a matter of time before he tops the global leaderboard.”

“I heard Shura is one of our own, a fellow Chinese? That’s something to be proud of!”

“Go, Shura! Rise to the top and dethrone that Adam!”

The internet was abuzz with heated discussions.

Reading these comments, Chen Ye felt quite pleased.

After all, Shura was him!

Then, Chen Ye opened the Reincarnation Forum.

The entire forum was also buzzing with discussions about him.

However, Chen Ye’s good mood didn’t last long.

He came across a post titled:

#”I Think Shura Should Make the ‘World War Z’ Strategy Public to Benefit All Humanity!”#

The post was extremely popular.

Despite it being early in the morning, it had already garnered over a thousand replies.

Chen Ye clicked on the post and found many people supporting this view…

“OP +1, since Shura can’t re-enter the ‘World War Z’ instance, why not share the strategy to benefit humanity?”

“If I were Shura, I’d make all my strategies public to gain a good reputation.”

“If he sells it, the strategy is worth a fortune. But I think, given Shura’s skills, he shouldn’t need money, right?”

“Yeah, if Shura shares the strategy, I’d become his number one fan!”

“The more capable should do more. I hope Shura sees this post and helps us ordinary people!”

These were replies supporting the original post, extremely selfish!

But there were also sensible people who opposed it.

“Keyboard warriors, do you think Shura needs fans like you?”

“Haha, what a moral high ground! I’m truly impressed by you people.”

“He worked hard and risked his life for that strategy. Why should he give it to you for free?”

“Weaklings will remain weaklings. Even if Shura teaches you personally, you won’t get an SSS rating!”

Chen Ye closed the post, unwilling to read more.

There were many posts in the Reincarnation Forum offering high prices for the strategy, which Chen Ye also ignored.

Regarding those demanding he share the strategy for free, Chen Ye merely sneered and paid them no mind.

A bunch of clowns weren’t worth his attention.

Let them envy him all they want!

Chen Ye would handle his strategy as he saw fit, never caring about others’ opinions.

———————

Chen Ye then began researching the strategy for the second layer of the Reincarnation Tower.

The official website had published strategies for the Reincarnation Tower.

Chen Ye speculated that these official strategies likely came from powerful reincarnators.

Opening the official guide, Chen Ye was surprised to find that the second layer of the Reincarnation Tower had two instance worlds, divided into simple and nightmare levels.

The simple one was “Kung Fu Jungle,” and the nightmare one was “The Eternal Evil of Asia.”

The rewards for the two were vastly different.

Reincarnators could choose for themselves.

However!

The higher one ascends the Reincarnation Tower, the more difficult the tasks become.

If one doesn’t build a strong foundation from the start and falls behind in strength, they may struggle to defeat enemies and easily perish in future instances.

—————–

Chapter 38

According to the official guide:

There are two different scenarios, each with its own tasks.

In the “Kung Fu Jungle” scenario, the task is to challenge three martial arts masters.

In the “The Eternal Evil of Asia” scenario, the task is to survive for three days!

At first glance, the “The Eternal Evil of Asia” scenario seems easier.

However, the reality is quite the opposite!

In the “The Eternal Evil of Asia” scenario, there’s a vengeful female ghost that’s extremely terrifying. She kills without a trace. Once she targets you, there’s no escaping death, no matter where you hide!

This ghost has almost no weaknesses, making it impossible to fight back.

To survive for three days, you’ll need to be incredibly lucky!

Chen Ye didn’t bother looking at the guide for the “Kung Fu Jungle” scenario because he wasn’t interested. The rewards for this task were very low. According to the guide, someone once achieved an “S” grade evaluation in this scenario but only received 4,000 reincarnation points.

Chen Ye didn’t want to waste a chance to complete a scenario for such low rewards.

So, he opened the guide for the “The Eternal Evil of Asia” scenario.

The first line in the guide was: “Warning! Before reading this guide, we suggest choosing the ‘Kung Fu Jungle’ scenario. The ghost in ‘The Eternal Evil of Asia’ is extremely terrifying. According to several survivors, it’s a nightmare they can never forget!!!”

“The danger level of this scenario far exceeds that of ‘World War Z.’ Out of ten people who attempt it, eight don’t return. Of the two who do, one goes insane…”

“Please choose carefully!”

“If you insist on choosing the ‘The Eternal Evil of Asia’ scenario, we admire your courage and hope you pass the test with a good evaluation!”

“Now, let’s get to the point!”

“When participants are transported into the scenario, the first scene involves a glass of water in front of you. The system gives you 30 seconds to drink it. If you don’t, you will be eliminated!”

“We suspect this glass of water is connected to the female ghost.”

“After drinking the water, find a sealed environment to hide in, as the ghost can appear at any time!”

“Also, make sure there’s nothing around you, not even a pebble. It’s best to tie yourself up with a rope and not eat or drink for three days. If you’re lucky, you might survive!”

“This guide is provided by ‘Smile,’ who is ranked 86th in the Global Top 100 Experts.”

“Smile suspects the ghost creates illusions that make you kill yourself!”

“Tying yourself up helps avoid self-harm.”

“Don’t think you can outsmart the ghost. She will definitely find you. And don’t try to use special items to prevent hallucinations; it won’t work!”

“The reincarnation system won’t give you loopholes!”

“…Finally, we urge everyone to choose carefully. Especially those who are faint-hearted should never attempt to face this ghost!!!”

After reading the official guide, Chen Ye was slightly surprised.

He remembered the plot of “The Eternal Evil of Asia” and knew the ghost, “Chu Renmei,” kills by causing hallucinations, making people kill themselves.

It’s impressive that people in this world could deduce this in just three days within the scenario.

It seems you can’t underestimate anyone!

According to the guide, there’s a chance to survive Chu Renmei’s pursuit and complete the survival task.

Chen Ye then smiled.

He knew the plot and the ghost’s details!

The terrifying ghost “Chu Renmei” is not unbeatable…

“If I manage to kill Chu Renmei during the task, what kind of evaluation would I get?”

Thinking of this, a gleam appeared in Chen Ye’s eyes.

However, this world is indeed extremely dangerous. The ghost, filled with strong resentment, creates illusions that make it impossible to distinguish reality, making it nearly impossible to defend against!

Even knowing the plot, entering the scenario would be incredibly risky for Chen Ye.

If he wanted to attempt the “The Eternal Evil of Asia” scenario, he would need to prepare in advance.

Chen Ye wasn’t in a hurry.

He had just completed a scenario in the Reincarnation Tower last night and, without a cooldown card, he would need to wait at least a week to attempt the “The Eternal Evil of Asia” scenario.

The Reincarnation Tower and the Safe Zone have different rules.

In the Reincarnation Tower, after completing a scenario, there’s a one-week cooldown before you can attempt another.

Chapter 39

Next, Chen Ye checked the Reincarnation Forum for information about the Golden Treasure Chest and Personal Instance Cards.

He found nothing…

No one had ever received an SSS-grade super-god rating in the Reincarnation Space, so no one had obtained these items.

Ding ding ding!

The class bell rang.

Out of respect for the teacher, Chen Ye put away his phone. On the surface, he appeared to be listening attentively, but in his mind, he was contemplating whether to use the “Personal Instance Card” tonight to start his own instance.

Since he didn’t have a cooldown card, he would have to wait a week to run another instance in the Reincarnation Tower. The days without running an instance were incredibly dull!

If other reincarnators knew what Chen Ye was thinking, they would probably want to kill him…

The instances in the Reincarnation Tower are filled with dangers. No one would risk their life for fun unless it was to become stronger. Only someone like Chen Ye, who knew the plot, would feel uncomfortable without running an instance.

The entire morning was spent in boredom. Chen Ye felt it was a waste of time.

So…

He planned to take the afternoon off.

In the homeroom teacher’s office, Chen Ye stated his purpose: “Mam, I have something to do this afternoon and would like to request leave.”

Hearing a leave request, the homeroom teacher, who was reading, instinctively frowned.

“Leave?” The teacher stared at Chen Ye. “The college entrance exams are in half a month, and you want to take leave at this critical moment?”

Chen Ye shrugged and lied smoothly: “I’ve been feeling anxious and having irregular heartbeats lately. I can’t sleep well at night. I think it’s due to the stress of the upcoming exams, so I want to go out and get some fresh air to avoid driving myself crazy.”

Other students might be afraid of the homeroom teacher, but Chen Ye, being a mature man at heart, had no fear.

The teacher was about to scold him but remembered a recent news story about a high school student who couldn’t handle the stress of the college entrance exams and jumped off a building. So, she changed her tone.

“How long do you need?”

“Just the afternoon.”

“Alright, but you must return to class on time tomorrow.”

The teacher waved her hand generously.

Her easygoing response was partly because Chen Ye’s academic performance wasn’t great. If he were a top student, she wouldn’t have let him go so easily.

After leaving school, Chen Ye returned home immediately.

To his surprise, no one was home. His father wasn’t there, even though he usually came home to sleep after the night shift.

Chen Ye didn’t think much of it. Perhaps his father had gone out for something.

Chen Ye then grabbed some change, took out the box of gold bars, and left the house. He planned to exchange the gold bars for money to improve his living conditions and also to ease his father’s burden.

However, gold bars from legitimate gold shops usually have markings, either a series of numbers or letters. So, today’s task was to melt the gold bars into raw gold and then sell it.

Although this would reduce the value of the gold bars, it was worth it to protect his “Shura” alias from being exposed.

He wasn’t worried about Miss Wen because he knew her true identity. If she exposed him, the worst that could happen was that she would kill her own brother to prove her point!

As a tough guy, there’s nothing he wouldn’t do. The concern was whether her family members, like her parents, would also find out about “Shura’s” true identity.

Human nature is unpredictable! You never know what people might do for profit.

Chen Ye couldn’t eliminate all of Wen’s relatives and friends, so he had to avoid exposing his Shura alias until he was strong enough.

Recently, “Shura” had become quite popular, and many people were looking for him. To prevent this, Chen Ye decided to handle the gold himself.

A moment later, Chen Ye arrived at the bus station and boarded a bus heading to another city. He didn’t take the faster and more comfortable high-speed train because of the security checks, which would be problematic with his box of gold bars. In this country, private individuals carrying more than 100 grams of non-manufactured gold are considered smugglers!

By boarding the bus midway, he could avoid security checks. The driver, looking to evade taxes, was also happy to pick up passengers midway.

Why go to another city?

Chen Ye knew that every city has its own gold trading circles. If he melted and sold the gold in his own city, the news might leak out, attracting unwanted attention.

Though the amount of gold he had wasn’t much, it was still significant. Better safe than sorry.

As for his own safety…

With his current strength, even encountering robbers wouldn’t be a problem!

Chapter 40

Two hours later, Chen Ye arrived in another city.

He first disguised himself by buying a wig and stick-on beard at a costume shop, making himself look much older. Then, he found a small ad for a metal processing factory on a utility pole and went there. For a small fee, he melted down the gold bars in a furnace and poured the molten gold into low-quality molds, producing crude gold bars.

This process removed all the markings on the gold bars, making them untraceable.

Such gold bars would fetch a lower price.

Just as Chen Ye was packing the gold bars into a box to leave, the factory owner and several workers blocked his way.

“Brother, the money you gave isn’t enough for the processing fee,” the owner said, surrounding Chen Ye with his workers, who were armed with wrenches and iron bars.

It was clear they thought the gold was of dubious origin and wanted to extort more money from him. They saw him as an out-of-towner, alone and vulnerable.

Chen Ye smiled, “How much do you want?”

He was prepared for this and wasn’t panicked.

The owner thought for a moment and held up four fingers.

“Four thousand?” Chen Ye asked curiously.

The owner shook his head and grinned maliciously, “Forty percent of your gold bars!”

Chen Ye sighed and advised, “Being so greedy isn’t good for you.”

“Brother, your gold bars are probably not clean. I doubt you dare call the police. Just pay up and avoid trouble,” the owner said with a sinister laugh.

“And if I don’t?” Chen Ye asked.

The owner’s face turned cold, and he threatened, “Then we’ll have to break your legs and take the gold ourselves!”

“Break my legs? That’s quite a punishment!” Chen Ye remarked. Suddenly, he waved his hand, and a mysterious force seized the workers’ tools, pulling them out of their hands and making them float around him, spinning in the air.

It was Chen Ye’s telekinesis at work, creating a stunning visual effect like magic.

The owner and workers were stunned and then terrified.

“A, a psychic!” one of the workers stammered.

In this world, where the Reincarnation Space exists, people are familiar with psychics. Even the police have special task forces of psychics to deal with psychic criminals.

Psychics are considered special talents in society, holding high status. Any group they join will offer them generous benefits. If they work for the government, they start with special privileges and can quickly rise to high positions.

Even if a psychic kills someone, they won’t face the death penalty. They can serve the government, and after a few years, when things cool down, they can join the military.

The law isn’t applied equally to psychics. They are rare and valuable, like strategic assets. As long as they aren’t insane, they are given chances to correct their mistakes.

“Brother… we didn’t know you were a psychic. Please forgive us!” the owner pleaded, sweating profusely, no longer looking fierce.

Though he often went to the Reincarnation Space, he stayed in the safe zone and had not even reached the lowest “E” level in overall strength. He had no thoughts of resisting a psychic.

“Break a leg each, yourselves!” Chen Ye said coldly. “If I have to do it, it won’t be just a leg.”

Hearing this, everyone turned pale.

Moments later, only the cries of the corrupt owner and his accomplices were left behind.

As for Chen Ye, he had left the scene.

He didn’t kill them, not out of mercy, but because killing in a society ruled by law would draw police attention, and he didn’t want to deal with the authorities yet.

So, he let them break their own legs.

Yes! They did it themselves, not Chen Ye…

Chen Ye then went to the city center, opened a bank account, and sold all the gold at a gold shop for 20% less than the market price, depositing the money into his account.

Having taken care of everything, Chen Ye returned home.

It was already dark when he arrived. His father was not home, likely at work.

Chen Ye shook his head, planning to tell his father to quit his night job tomorrow.

He fixed himself something to eat and set an alarm before going to sleep.

At midnight sharp, Chen Ye appeared in the Reincarnation Space as “Shura” once again!
