GROIKTP Chapter 388

This entry is part 308 of 534 in the series Global Reincarnation: Only i Know the Plot

**Inside the Cabin.**

The atmosphere was a bit awkward.

Except for Storm, who was piloting, the other three were all staring intently at Chen Ye, not even blinking.

“Seriously, guys, do I have something on my face?” Chen Ye asked with a helpless smile.

Wolverine was the first to speak: “Kid, who the hell are you?”

“I’m from another world…” Chen Ye didn’t bother trying to pass himself off as a mutant.

After all, Professor X had telepathic abilities and could easily distinguish between humans and mutants. Trying to pretend in front of him would be laughable.

Hearing this, Professor X and the others were taken aback.

“An alien?” Wolverine asked.

“No, I’m human too,” Chen Ye continued casually. “Have you ever heard of the parallel universe theory? I’m from a parallel Earth.”

Professor X exchanged a glance with his old friend, Magneto. Both saw the surprise in each other’s eyes.

They were well-traveled and knowledgeable, but the idea of someone coming from a parallel universe was still mind-boggling.

“So, young man, what’s your purpose in coming to this world?” Magneto asked.

Professor X remained silent, still skeptical of Chen Ye’s explanation. He believed it half-heartedly, largely because his telepathy confirmed that Chen Ye was indeed human, with no trace of mutant genes.

But how could a human possess such extraordinary power?

“Purpose?” Chen Ye smiled.

If he revealed his true purpose, it would probably terrify them.

“Nothing special. Some others and I accidentally ended up in this world.”

Then, with a grin, he added, “But I must say, things here don’t seem to be going so well. Humanity is on the brink of extinction…”

“If you’re not a mutant, why would the Sentinels target you?” Wolverine asked, confused.

“How should I know?”

“Young man,” Professor X finally spoke, “you said there are others from your world? They’ve also come here?”

“Yes!” Chen Ye nodded. “But I should warn you—when you encounter those people, be very careful. They didn’t come here with good intentions.”

At these words, the atmosphere in the cabin grew tense.

The Sentinels had already pushed them to the edge of despair. The idea of another unknown enemy force arriving? It felt like disaster upon disaster.

Wolverine growled, “And what about you, kid?”

Chen Ye looked over at Wolverine and said calmly, “Since I got on this jet, it’s been you all asking the questions. Remember, *you* invited me aboard, yet you’ve shown me no respect. And Wolverine, you seem to lack basic manners. Do I know you? Before you talk to me, you’d better start using respectful language.”

“Hah! Big attitude you’ve got there…” Wolverine’s face darkened with anger.

“Logan!” Professor X quickly intervened, trying to calm him down. “Take it easy!”

Reluctantly, Wolverine glared at Chen Ye but stayed quiet.

Ignoring Wolverine, Chen Ye turned his attention to Professor X and said, “You didn’t bring me on board just to ask these questions, did you? If so, find a place and drop me off.”

“Please don’t be upset,” Professor X said with a gentle smile. “I apologize for our rudeness.”

Chen Ye nodded but didn’t say much more.

“Actually, we’re hoping you can help us,” Professor X continued. “As you’ve seen, our world is facing an invincible enemy—Sentinels, numerous and unstoppable. To save our world, we plan to go back in time and change fate.”

“This plan is risky. We need a fixed location to execute it, but the longer we stay in one place, the quicker the Sentinels find us.”

“So, young man, we need your help.”

Chen Ye smiled faintly. “Help you? And what’s in it for me?”

Hearing this, Professor X smiled wryly. “The world’s already in chaos, and money has lost its value. We don’t even know what we could offer you. But if you need something, feel free to tell us.”

“As a matter of fact, I do!” Chen Ye snapped his fingers. “I want to return to my world, so I’ll need a machine to help me get back. Can you provide me with the materials?”

Professor X paused, then cautiously asked, “I have a lab with plenty of metal and materials stored. What exactly do you need?”

Like a magician, Chen Ye produced a piece of paper.

On it was a list of required materials.

Professor X took the paper and, after a quick glance, furrowed his brow slightly.

“Many of the materials on this list are rare, and my lab doesn’t have them. But I know where to find them.”

“Perfect!” Chen Ye smiled and extended his hand to Professor X. “Then, we have a deal!”

After a brief moment of surprise, Professor X smiled and shook Chen Ye’s hand. “A deal!”

“Now, can you tell me where we’re heading?”

“To China. We have allies there.”

Professor X first directed Storm to fly back to his lab, where they retrieved the materials Chen Ye needed. Then, they set off for China.

The jet was highly advanced, capable of incredible speeds, with a maximum velocity of Mach 7 (seven times the speed of sound), far surpassing the previously hyped F-22 Raptor.

In just two hours, the jet had crossed the Pacific Ocean, arriving at a location in China.

It was a place filled with traditional Chinese architecture.

As the jet approached, Storm suddenly exclaimed, “Oh no, they’re under attack!”

Hearing this, everyone in the cabin rushed to the cockpit, peering through the glass to see what was happening below.

The battle on the ground was fierce.

Flames erupted into the sky, and ice shot in all directions!

To Chen Ye’s surprise, the ones fighting the mutants were not Sentinels.

They were a group of powerful humans!

Seeing their allies struggling and even suffering casualties, Wolverine’s face darkened as he cursed, “Damn it! Who are these mutants, and why are they attacking Kitty and the others?”

“They’re not mutants,” Professor X said gravely.
