- Global Reincarnation: Only I Know the Plot
- GROIKTP Chapter 396
*Blink and Storm!*
When everyone heard the two people Chen Ye had chosen, they were momentarily stunned.
Why choose two women?
It wasn’t that they had any bias against women, but… for such an important mission, shouldn’t someone more reliable be chosen?
Even Blink and Storm themselves were surprised, completely unable to understand Chen Ye’s reasoning.
However.
Although many were confused about Chen Ye’s choice, no one dared to voice any objections…
“Chen! Can we bring Logan with them?” Professor X couldn’t help but ask.
At this point, only Professor X felt he could offer a suggestion to Chen Ye. His reasoning for including Logan was that Wolverine had a never-give-up spirit, making him the ideal candidate for this mission.
“No.”
Chen Ye shook his head without a second thought.
Seeing how firm Chen Ye’s refusal was, Professor X opened his mouth as if to argue, but in the end, he said nothing and let it go.
…
An hour later.
“Brother, it’s ready!” Skynet suddenly called out.
Everyone turned to see a strange-looking machine on the platform.
It was quite rudimentary.
Wolverine couldn’t help but ask, “This thing? Is it safe?”
Hearing Wolverine’s doubt, Skynet immediately replied, “Of course it’s safe!”
When it came to building a time-exchange device, Skynet was an expert. After all, back in the *Terminator* world, it was she who had ordered the Terminator to be sent back in time to hunt down John Connor!
“Alright! Let’s not waste any more time!” Chen Ye said decisively. “Let’s begin!”
“Skynet, explain the important details to them.”
“Okay, brother.”
Skynet obediently walked over to Blink and Storm and said directly, “To use the time-exchange device and travel through time, you cannot have any other material on your body, including the fibers in your clothes.”
Blink and Storm were both taken aback.
Blink couldn’t help but ask, “What do you mean?”
“Put simply…” Skynet explained calmly, “you can’t wear any clothes.”
Suddenly.
Both Storm and Blink’s faces turned awkward.
“And what happens if we wear clothes back in time?” Storm asked.
“You won’t make it,” Skynet replied matter-of-factly. “If you’re affected by foreign materials, there’s a high chance your body will be torn apart by the quantum field’s magnetic forces. Even if you somehow survive, you’ll likely get lost in the time stream, ending up at an unknown point in time.”
“That… sounds so dangerous…” Blink said, now a little frightened.
“Any other questions?” Skynet asked.
Storm and Blink exchanged glances but said nothing.
“Then, please prepare to leave with my brother shortly,” Skynet said.
“Wait!” Blink asked in a panic, “Your brother? You mean Chen?”
Skynet looked confused. “Do I have another brother?”
Storm: “…”
Blink: “…”
It was only at this moment that everyone realized why Chen Ye had chosen two women and refused to let Wolverine go…
Chen Ye was also going back to the past.
Everyone’s expressions turned a bit strange.
Professor X couldn’t help but ask, “Chen, you’re going back too?”
Seeing Chen Ye nod, Professor X followed up, “May I ask, what’s your purpose in going back to the past?”
“To help them stop the creation of the Sentinel robots, of course!” Chen Ye replied, half-seriously. “If they fail, I’ll use force to prevent the Sentinels from being born.”
“This…”
Professor X hesitated.
Using force meant slaughtering people.
He believed that Chen Ye had the power to do it.
However!
If it involved killing too many people, Professor X would be deeply troubled by the moral implications.
Anyone familiar with the original storyline knows that Professor X is a bit indecisive and always holds out hope for humanity.
Noticing Professor X’s hesitation, Magneto immediately interjected, “I agree with Chen’s plan! Charles, do you really want to see all mutants wiped out?”
Magneto was much more radical and not fond of humans.
In the original story, Magneto nearly destroyed humanity multiple times, only to be stopped by the X-Men…
Hearing Magneto’s words, Professor X sighed and said nothing more.
He had to consider the survival of the mutants, even if it weighed heavily on him.
…
What followed was preparation for the time travel.
When Blink and Storm appeared in front of Chen Ye, completely bare, their faces turned bright red with embarrassment.
Storm was a bit better off.
Being Western, she had a more open attitude about such things.
Blink, on the other hand, was incredibly uncomfortable, as she came from a more conservative Eastern background.
Thankfully, Chen Ye had the physique of a male model, practically god-like!
Everyone appreciates beauty, and neither woman found Chen Ye unpleasant—just a little awkward.
As for Chen Ye, he couldn’t help but take a moment to admire the women’s figures…
Storm was impressive, but Chen Ye wasn’t particularly attracted to her since he didn’t have a thing for black women.
Blink, on the other hand, caught his attention. Her face reminded him of a certain celebrity from his past…
Soon.
The three of them entered the time-exchange machine, ready for the time jump.
The others tactfully turned away.
No one wanted to be caught staring while they were all naked…
“The set time is 1973, confirmed!” Skynet announced. “Brother, when the time comes, use your power to press the activation switch.”
Chen Ye nodded, then stored Skynet back into his personal inventory.
“What!”
Seeing a “real person” disappear before their eyes, Blink and Storm were startled.
“Where did you put your sister?” Blink asked curiously.
“You can see her whenever you want,” Chen Ye replied casually, using his telekinesis to press the activation button from a distance.
“Buzz! Buzz!”
Suddenly.
A loud noise echoed as the time-exchange machine crackled with electricity, enveloping Chen Ye, Blink, and Storm in a bright glow.
Moments later, the three of them disappeared…
…
*1973.*
At a thermal power plant.
It was nighttime.
The workers had long since finished their shifts, and only a few night guards remained.
The night was quiet.
Suddenly, on one of the platforms, a fierce wind began to blow, followed by arcs of electricity that appeared out of nowhere, crackling like a swarm of snakes—a truly eerie sight.
Moments later.
The space around the platform began to warp as a time portal opened, and three figures were transported through it.
Three completely unclothed individuals…
