- Global Reincarnation: Only I Know the Plot
- GROIKTP Chapter 415
“Dammit! It’s Batman!!”
One of the thugs shouted in terror, frantically scanning the surroundings.
The other gang members did the same, desperately searching for Batman in the darkness.
However, Batman’s stealth skills were top-notch, and they couldn’t spot him.
Only Chen Ye knew exactly where Batman was hiding!
In the next moment, Batman made his move from the shadows!
Like a ghost, he darted out from the darkness and quickly dove into the group.
Then, in just a few punches and kicks, and within a matter of breaths, the thugs were all lying on the ground.
Although Batman’s strength wasn’t impressive in Chen Ye’s eyes, dealing with these small-time thugs was a piece of cake for him.
After knocking out all the thugs, Batman appeared in front of Chen Ye.
“Who are you?”
Batman’s voice was rough and deep, filled with a distinct personality.
Chen Ye couldn’t help but wonder if the guy was using a voice modulator.
“I’m just a passerby.”
“Cut the act!” Batman snorted coldly. “My eyes don’t deceive me. You’re not just some ordinary person.”
Chen Ye suddenly smiled, “Not bad. Impressive observation, Bruce Wayne!”
Upon hearing Chen Ye call out his name, Batman was inwardly shocked.
However, he remained as composed as ever, not letting his emotions show on his face.
“Bruce Wayne?” Batman acted puzzled. “You mean that billionaire? What’s your connection to him?”
His quick response only proved that he truly deserved to be called Batman.
Seeing that Batman was still denying it, Chen Ye smiled faintly, and with a wave of his hand, Batman’s cowl was lifted off by Chen Ye’s telekinetic power, revealing his true identity.
It was none other than Gotham’s famous billionaire: Bruce Wayne!
“Mr. Wayne, are you still going to deny it?” Chen Ye asked with a smile.
Batman was visibly startled and quickly snatched up his cowl, putting it back on while warily eyeing Chen Ye. He then questioned, “Who exactly are you? How do you know my identity? And what was that ability you just used?”
“Mr. Wayne, you’re asking so many questions at once, how am I supposed to answer?”
“Then answer them one at a time!”
Chen Ye was just about to speak when a strange cry echoed from the sky above.
Upon hearing the sound, Batman immediately dropped the conversation, launching his grappling hook to latch onto a nearby building. The line pulled him up into the air, chasing after the source of the strange noise.
Just like how Spider-Man swings with his webs.
Chen Ye, seeing this, calmly used his telekinetic powers to follow with ease.
Batman, noticing that Chen Ye could fly, grew even more wary.
The fact that he could fly meant Chen Ye likely possessed some kind of superpower, far beyond that of an ordinary human.
For now, Batman’s priority was to investigate the strange noise, so he didn’t have time to deal with Chen Ye and chose to leave him be.
The strange cry was all too familiar to Batman; it belonged to a terrifying creature.
Ever since Superman’s death, these creatures had started appearing.
At first, their appearances were rare, but by now, they were showing up more frequently—almost every night.
Batman felt there was something bigger at play, so he had been investigating the matter.
Soon enough.
Batman caught up with the flying creature.
The creature had a humanoid form but with insect-like wings on its back, buzzing as it flew, much like a dragonfly.
At that moment, the creature was flying low, scanning the ground as if it were searching for something.
Batman leaped up and grabbed hold of the creature.
Tonight, he planned to capture one of these creatures alive for study.
The creature immediately struggled, and it was surprisingly strong, making Batman’s job difficult.
Killing one of these creatures would have been easy for Batman—he had done it before.
But capturing a flying creature alive? That was a challenge!
As Batman continued to struggle with the creature, Chen Ye flew up, watching with amusement. He called out, “Hey, Bruce, need some help?”
Sensing that Chen Ye didn’t harbor any malice, Batman shot him a sideways glance before kicking the creature in the abdomen, sending it flying toward Chen Ye.
“It’s all yours!”
Watching the creature hurtling toward him, Chen Ye smiled faintly and raised his hand.
Telekinesis activated!
Then, with a slight clenching motion of his hand, the creature froze mid-air, unable to move no matter how much it struggled.
With Chen Ye’s current mental power, controlling a creature like this was effortless.
Seeing how easily Chen Ye subdued the flying creature, Batman’s expression grew serious.
“Alfred, are you seeing this?”
From Batman’s earpiece came the voice of an elderly man, “I saw it.”
This elderly man was Alfred, Batman’s trusted butler and aide.
Unbeknownst to Chen Ye, Batman had been equipped with surveillance devices.
These devices were connected to the Batcave, where Alfred was now sitting in front of a computer, observing the situation through Batman’s feed.
The purpose of the surveillance devices was to gather data.
They recorded Batman’s battles, collecting information on his enemies. If Batman lost a fight, the data would allow him to avoid the enemy’s strengths in future encounters and ultimately defeat them.
It was through this method that Batman had subdued countless ruthless criminals!
“I need information on this guy!”
Alfred’s voice came through the earpiece: “I just looked him up. His name is ‘Ronan Anderson,’ just an ordinary Chinese citizen.”
“Ordinary?” Batman muttered sarcastically. “Does this look ordinary to you?”
“That’s what the records say!”
In the distance, Chen Ye’s voice interrupted their conversation.
“Bruce, do you still want this bug?”
Chen Ye was very familiar with these flying creatures, as they were part of the storyline.
They were “parademons,” soldiers controlled by the big boss Steppenwolf.
They had arrived on Earth ahead of time to search for the whereabouts of the Mother Boxes.
The Mother Boxes were powerful artifacts of immense strength.
Hearing Chen Ye, Batman raised his hand, launching a net to ensnare the flying creature.
“Roar!”
The creature let out a piercing shriek before suddenly exploding, spraying dark green blood everywhere, staining the ground.
“What just happened? What are these things?” Chen Ye asked, playing dumb.
“They’re scouts,” Batman replied gravely, his tone serious. “Scouts sent by an alien race to Earth.”
“You’re saying that an alien invasion is coming?”
Batman nodded, his eyes suddenly turning to Chen Ye, as though making a decision:
“I need powerful warriors to form a team to face the crisis that’s about to unfold… Ronan, are you interested?”
