GROIKTP Chapter 421

This entry is part 341 of 534 in the series Global Reincarnation: Only i Know the Plot

**Atlantis!**

Located deep beneath the ocean.

As Chen Ye rode the sea monster Karathen toward the upper waters of Atlantis and looked down at the brightly lit underwater city, he couldn’t help but marvel.

This was an underwater world.

For a city to function so deep in the ocean, where it’s pitch black and the pressure is immense, it was clear that Atlantis possessed incredibly advanced technology.

And that was indeed the case.

In the original storyline, Atlantis had already harnessed the power of energy weapons.

Truth be told, in the *Aquaman* storyline, if it weren’t for Arthur’s intervention in stopping his brother, that brother might have actually succeeded in leading Atlantis to defeat humanity and conquer the surface world.

“Whimper!”

Karathen let out a low growl, alerting Chen Ye that Atlantis’ soldiers had detected them and were riding sharks in their direction.

With Atlantis’ advanced technology, they likely spotted Karathen approaching from a distance.

But Chen Ye wasn’t here to invade Atlantis.

He had a detailed plan in mind, one that might allow him to control the seven kingdoms of the sea.

“Let’s go!” Chen Ye said calmly. “The first king of Atlantis once allied with humanity to defeat the alien invaders and claimed a Mother Box. You should know where it is, right? Take me there!”

Upon hearing this, Karathen immediately twisted its massive body and swam toward a particular region of the sea.

Just moments after they left, two Atlantis soldiers arrived at the location where Karathen had been.

“Didn’t we detect a large object approaching this area? Where did it go?”

“Could the readings have been wrong?”

“How could they be wrong? Our detection system is far more advanced than human radar!”

“Do you think it might have been a human submarine?”

“Human submarines aren’t that agile underwater, so it can’t be!”

“Then this is strange…”

“Forget it, let’s just report it.”

Karathen didn’t take Chen Ye far.

Nearby Atlantis, there was a castle-like structure—a place specifically designed to store the Mother Box.

Years ago, after many hardships, the various human races managed to defeat Steppenwolf and reclaim the Mother Box.

The box was then split into three, guarded separately by the humans, the Amazons, and the Atlanteans.

The Mother Box guarded by Atlantis was kept in this very location.

That was precisely Chen Ye’s target this time: the Mother Box.

As Chen Ye approached the castle, he suddenly heard the sounds of battle ahead.

Startled, he quickly left Karathen’s head, grabbed his trident, and rushed forward.

Along the way, he saw many dead Atlantean soldiers, their blood staining the waters.

When Chen Ye entered the castle, a figure was suddenly flung toward him.

It was a woman…

Chen Ye quickly raised his hand and effortlessly caught her by the waist.

The woman groaned softly and instinctively held onto Chen Ye’s arm to steady herself.

Clearly.

The attack she’d just endured had been powerful.

Now that he could see the woman’s face, Chen Ye smiled.

He recognized her from the storyline—this was Princess Mera.

The future wife of Aquaman!

“You look like you could use some help,” Chen Ye remarked.

“Who are you?” Mera asked, staring at the black-haired, black-eyed man before her, unable to recall seeing such a figure in her memory. Clearly, this was a human.

But!

A human who could freely move in and out of the ocean, surviving underwater? How was that possible?

Suddenly, Mera noticed the trident in Chen Ye’s hand and was taken aback.

She could sense the overwhelming divine power radiating from it.

“This trident… How is it in your hands?” Mera exclaimed.

If she wasn’t mistaken, this was the legendary trident…

The weapon of the Sea God!

“Let’s discuss that later,” Chen Ye said, his gaze turning toward the ongoing battle ahead. “First, let me handle that outsider.”

In front of them, two individuals were locked in combat.

One was a burly, tattooed man with a scruffy beard. Chen Ye immediately recognized him as Aquaman, Arthur Curry.

The other was a towering, muscular figure with horns on its head, resembling a demon.

It was Steppenwolf!

Steppenwolf hailed from the hellish planet Apokolips and was part of the New Gods. He was Darkseid’s military commander and uncle!

In the DC Universe, Steppenwolf was a legitimate big bad.

He had lived for millennia, helping Darkseid conquer countless planets and destroy many others.

In the comics, Steppenwolf was incredibly powerful, second only to the ultimate villain, Darkseid.

Even Superman might struggle against him.

Of course, in the movie version, Steppenwolf’s power had been significantly weakened. While he could easily overpower other members of the Justice League, he was nothing more than a lackey when faced with Superman!

Hearing that Chen Ye intended to confront Steppenwolf, Mera couldn’t help but warn him:

“Be careful. This alien is very powerful. He’s here for the Mother Box!”

Chen Ye nodded.

He knew exactly why Steppenwolf was here.

At that moment.

Arthur was clearly no match for Steppenwolf and was being thoroughly beaten.

Seeing this, Chen Ye immediately charged toward Steppenwolf.

“I’ve arrived just in time. If I had been any later, Steppenwolf would have taken the Mother Box by now.”

As Chen Ye thought this, the battle ahead shifted.

Steppenwolf, noticing a new opponent approaching, decided not to waste any more time. He seized the opportunity, kicked Arthur away, and lunged toward the Mother Box.

Just as his fingers brushed the box, it suddenly flew off the pedestal by itself…

Startled, Steppenwolf quickly chased after it.

But the Mother Box flew in a wide arc and ended up in Chen Ye’s hand.

Chen Ye had used his telekinesis to summon the box.

“Steppenwolf, do you dare to steal from me?” Chen Ye said nonchalantly as he toyed with the Mother Box. “If you kneel and call me ‘Daddy,’ I might consider letting you go!”

Steppenwolf was nearly driven mad with rage at Chen Ye’s words.

No one had ever dared to humiliate him like this!

Without a word, he raised his battle-axe and swung it toward Chen Ye.

*Wham!*

The sound of the swing tore through the water, splitting it in two.

This strike was immensely powerful, as if it could cleave the very ocean in half!

“Watch out!” Arthur shouted in alarm, trying to warn Chen Ye.

Chen Ye, however, did not underestimate Steppenwolf’s strength.

The axe in Steppenwolf’s hand wasn’t ordinary—it was a true divine weapon.

In the original storyline, Steppenwolf was able to cleave through an entire stretch of land with a single blow!

A thousand years ago, when the human alliance tried to stop him, countless lives were lost, even a few gods fell.

So.

Steppenwolf’s attack power was not to be taken lightly!

However, while his strength was impressive, even Superman would hesitate to take his attacks head-on. Steppenwolf’s speed was his weakness.

He was only slightly faster than an average human.

With Chen Ye’s current agility, he could easily outpace Steppenwolf!

In the blink of an eye, Chen Ye moved like a ghost, appearing directly in front of Steppenwolf.

It was as if he had teleported!

The two were now face-to-face, and Steppenwolf’s axe struck nothing but water.

The force of the strike created a vacuum in the ocean, and buildings in the distance collapsed under the shockwave.

The sheer power of Steppenwolf’s attack was incredible.

But without hitting its target, the blow was meaningless.

Seeing the deadly gaze in Chen Ye’s eyes so close to his own, Steppenwolf was genuinely startled…
