- Global Reincarnation: Only I Know the Plot
- GROIKTP Chapter 423
**A few hours later.**
Chen Ye arrived in Gotham City.
“The Mother Box has the ability to teleport. Too bad it’s not considered a special item, and who knows if it will become one after the three Mother Boxes are combined?”
With these thoughts running through his mind, Chen Ye carried the Mother Box and made his way to Wayne Manor.
As everyone knows!
Batman’s superpower is being rich!
At night, he’s the Dark Knight, striking fear into the hearts of criminals. But during the day, he’s seen as a top-tier billionaire, the chairman of Wayne Enterprises, and Gotham’s wealthiest man.
The sprawling Wayne Manor before him belonged to Bruce Wayne, aka Batman.
And below Wayne Manor was the Batcave!
It was currently daytime.
If you wanted to find Bruce Wayne during the day, Wayne Manor was the place to go.
Chen Ye wasn’t the only one with this idea.
There was also a woman…
Wonder Woman, *Diana Prince*!
Just a few hours earlier.
Diana had learned that her homeland, Themyscira, had been invaded and that the Mother Box there had been stolen…
She immediately realized that Steppenwolf had returned.
The elders of the Amazons often passed down tales about Steppenwolf’s terrifying power, ensuring the younger generations were aware.
Diana knew that she couldn’t stop Steppenwolf alone.
She needed help!
Among the most famous superheroes, aside from the now-deceased Superman, the next best was Batman.
So, Diana had come to Wayne Manor and already infiltrated it.
…
**In the Batcave.**
Batman didn’t seem surprised by Wonder Woman’s arrival.
“Do you know how much it cost me to build this security system? Millions of dollars!” Bruce Wayne teased Diana as soon as they met.
“Yeah!” Diana smiled. “It definitely looks expensive!”
Bruce was speechless, but he replied, “Good to see you, Diana Prince!”
“I’m also honored to meet the real Bruce Wayne,” Diana responded with a grin.
The two weren’t meeting for the first time; they had fought together against Doomsday and were familiar with each other’s actions.
Both were superheroes who led double lives—ordinary people by day, crime-fighters by night.
However, this was their first time meeting each other unmasked.
“You’ve come at the right time, Diana,” Bruce suddenly turned serious. “I think a powerful enemy is about to visit Earth.”
“He’s not about to come, Bruce,” Diana replied gravely. “He’s already here.”
Bruce asked, “It seems you know a lot about ‘him’? Care to share?”
Diana nodded. “A thousand years ago, they called him Steppenwolf, the world-ender. He was born for conquest, and countless lives have fallen under his blade, only to rise again as Parademons—nightmare creatures that feed on fear…”
Bruce recalled the flying creatures he’d encountered recently and said, “I’ve run into a few Parademons lately. We didn’t get along well.”
Diana ignored Bruce’s joke and continued, “Steppenwolf has come to Earth to find the Mother Boxes. Once he collects them all and combines their power, he can create a Unity. That destructive force can not only annihilate the world but reduce it to a barren husk, just like his homeworld.”
“We nearly perished a thousand years ago, but we unleashed our own ‘unity.’ Humans, Amazons, Atlanteans—all races fought together, even the gods, sacrificing their lives to drive Steppenwolf away.”
“And now, Steppenwolf has returned!”
Hearing this, Bruce frowned and asked, “How much time do we have?”
“Just a few days,” Diana said gravely. “If no one stops him, he’ll gather the Mother Boxes in a matter of days and destroy the entire world… We need help!”
Bruce nodded. “I agree with you.”
“I know some low-key individuals with remarkable abilities. Perhaps we can gather them to form a league.”
…
**Above ground.**
“Sir, this is private property. Please leave.”
As Chen Ye approached the gates of Wayne Manor, two security guards stopped him.
“I’m here to see Bruce Wayne. Please inform him.”
“Sir, do you have an appointment?”
“I don’t need one. Just tell him Ronan Anderson is here.”
“Sorry, sir. Without an appointment, you can’t enter.”
Hearing this, Chen Ye sighed. “I was hoping to be polite, but why do you have to make me resort to violence?”
With that, Chen Ye casually waved his hand.
“Ah!”
The two security guards screamed as they were flung through the air.
Then, Chen Ye strolled into Wayne Manor.
His actions immediately triggered the manor’s security alarms!
…
**In the Batcave.**
Hearing the shrill alarms, Bruce and Diana, who were discussing forming the Justice League, were taken aback.
“This time, it wasn’t me!” Diana shrugged.
Bruce pulled up the security footage and saw Chen Ye dealing with his guards. He couldn’t help but snort.
Diana also looked at the footage and noticed how Chen Ye controlled the guards without touching them. “He seems to have impressive abilities. Do you need help?”
Bruce initially wanted to decline, as the man on the screen was an ally.
However, he changed his mind.
“Diana, I’ll leave this one to you.”
And then Bruce added, “Don’t hold back.”
He hadn’t fully assessed Chen Ye’s strength during their last encounter, so this was a good opportunity to see it in action through Diana.
Diana nodded and headed out.
…
**In the manor grounds.**
By this time, Chen Ye had knocked out nearly all of the security guards.
Seeing that no one had come out yet, Chen Ye wondered to himself, “With all this commotion, Bruce must know I’m here. Could he not be home?”
Just as this thought crossed his mind, a tall woman appeared in the distance.
When Chen Ye saw her, his eyes lit up.
The woman was stunning, especially her long legs, perfectly proportioned and elegant.
Chen Ye hadn’t expected to run into Wonder Woman here!
Among the superheroes in *Justice League*, his favorite had always been this woman.
Just as Chen Ye was about to greet her, Diana suddenly sped up and charged at him. She raised her long leg and aimed a powerful kick straight at him.
Chen Ye was momentarily surprised, not expecting an attack right off the bat.
However, his body reacted instinctively.
Armament Haki instantly covered his left arm.
And then.
Chen Ye raised his left arm to block, effortlessly deflecting Diana’s kick…
