Bruce asked helplessly.

That sounded like something only someone ridiculously rich would say. Was that even a normal response?
Chen Ye was speechless…
He had a black card with a limit of a billion in every modern world he visited. Even though he couldn’t compete with Batman’s wealth, he wasn’t exactly short on cash.
After thinking for a moment, Chen Ye said, “How about you let me tour your base? I’ll pick out something I like.”
The Batmobile was pretty cool. Even though Chen Ye didn’t need it, it would be nice to have as a collectible.
“That’s not happening!”
Bruce immediately rejected the idea.
All the equipment in his base was his pride and joy. There was no way he’d let someone else take anything.
“Have you two talked enough? Don’t forget why we’re here,” Diana interrupted. “Bruce, you owe me an explanation… but that can wait until we deal with Steppenwolf!”
When Steppenwolf was mentioned, both Diana and Bruce couldn’t help but glance at Chen Ye!

Chen Ye smiled and explained, “I got it from Atlantis. I happened to be passing by when Steppenwolf showed up to steal it. So, I beat him and thought it wasn’t safe to leave it there, so I brought it back.”
“Steppenwolf!”
Diana and Bruce both exclaimed in unison, exchanging a glance that reflected their shared surprise.
“You’re saying you encountered Steppenwolf and drove him away?” Diana couldn’t help but ask.
“Yep!” Chen Ye nodded, then added in a complaining tone, “That guy is such a coward. I only hit him once, and he immediately gave up on the Mother Box and fled.”
Diana: “…”
Bruce: “…”
Both of them were speechless, and simultaneously rolled their eyes at Chen Ye.
It wasn’t that Steppenwolf was cowardly—Chen Ye’s destructive power was simply monstrous…
