GROIKTP Chapter 434

This entry is part 354 of 534 in the series Global Reincarnation: Only i Know the Plot

Poseidon’s trident was a true divine artifact.

It held immense divine power and allowed him to command the sea at will. In the DC universe, this kind of artifact was unique and unmatched.

Now, seeing a trident with a similar level of power appear suddenly, Poseidon was understandably shocked.

Chen Ye was also a bit surprised. The moment Poseidon appeared with his trident, the trident in Chen Ye’s hand began to vibrate violently.

While this wasn’t visible to others, Chen Ye could clearly feel it. It was as if the trident he was holding was extremely eager to get its hands on Poseidon’s trident… like a starving tiger eyeing a delicious lamb.

“Mortal, where did you get that weapon?” Poseidon asked, his tone stern.

Chen Ye responded calmly, “Stop calling me ‘mortal’ so disrespectfully. As for my weapon… I am the Sea God. Is it so strange for me to have a trident?”

“That weapon does not belong to you!” Poseidon’s gaze hardened as he declared, “Hand over the trident and submit to the judgment of a god. Perhaps I will let you live.”

The only reason Poseidon spoke so much was that he felt a certain danger emanating from Chen Ye…

Arthur quietly approached Chen Ye, whispering, “Uh… the guy you’re facing is the real Sea God, Poseidon.”

Although Arthur grew up on land, Vulko had taught him the history and knowledge of the sea people, so he knew of Poseidon and had seen his statues before.

Arthur’s warning was meant to suggest that Chen Ye ease up and not provoke the wrath of Poseidon.

It must be said, Poseidon’s influence on the sea people was immense. From the moment Poseidon appeared, Atlanna, Mera, and the others were terrified, their faces pale with fear.

Even the usually fearless “Aquaman” Arthur was nervous in the presence of Poseidon.

Chen Ye shot Arthur a displeased glance.

This guy didn’t trust him at all, did he?

Ignoring Arthur, Chen Ye looked back at Poseidon and replied mockingly, “I’ll give that same offer to you. Hand over your trident and submit to my judgment, and I might let you live.”

“How dare you!” Poseidon’s fury erupted. “You dare challenge a god? Your arrogance is unforgivable!”

With those words, Poseidon’s eyes turned pure blue. Instantly, vast amounts of seawater surrounded him, encasing his entire body.

Within moments, Poseidon’s figure was completely obscured.

In his place stood a towering water giant that resembled Poseidon, created through his divine power.

The appearance of this colossal water giant left Arthur and the others stunned in awe. Atlanna and Mera, their legs weak, felt the urge to kneel and beg for mercy.

Chen Ye, however, remained calm and composed.

“You foolish mortal, prepare to die!” the water giant roared, raising its massive watery trident and thrusting it toward Chen Ye.

A crushing pressure, like an unstoppable tidal wave, bore down on them.

Arthur and the others turned ashen, their faces filled with despair. They knew that if the giant’s trident struck, the entire Atlantis palace would be reduced to rubble.

“What a flashy trick… Do you think size matters?” Chen Ye said dismissively, clenching his fist.

A white aura enveloped Chen Ye’s hand, and as the giant trident came crashing down, he threw a powerful “Skyward Cannon” punch upward!

“Crack!”

The air around them seemed to fracture.

The terrifying force of the punch caused massive cracks to spread across the sky above them, as if the world itself was shattering.

The water giant’s enormous trident was instantly obliterated, along with one of its massive arms, which disintegrated under the immense shockwave.

The sheer scale of the destruction left Atlanna, Mera, and the others utterly terrified.

“What… what kind of power is this?” Mera gasped, horrified. “This is terrifying…”

Up until now, they had only witnessed Chen Ye’s control over the sea, never realizing he possessed such devastating destructive power.

In the next instant, Chen Ye launched himself toward the water giant, once again activating his quake powers.

With Chen Ye moving too quickly and the giant’s massive form making it slow, Poseidon had no chance to evade.

A single punch landed directly on the giant’s abdomen.

“Boom!”

The air around them fractured once more.

The colossal body of the water giant shattered under the impact of Chen Ye’s quake ability, disintegrating back into seawater.

A figure tumbled out of the collapsing water, bloodied and battered.

It was Poseidon.

At this moment, Poseidon’s face was flushed red, and blood trickled from the corner of his mouth.

Chen Ye’s punch had not only destroyed the water giant but had also injured Poseidon, who had been hiding within it.

If Poseidon hadn’t been a high-level god with an exceptionally resilient body, that punch would have shattered him along with the giant he had created.

Seeing Poseidon in such a sorry state, Chen Ye smiled.

“So, gods bleed too, huh?”

Poseidon stared at Chen Ye with seething anger. “Who… are you?”

“Me?” Chen Ye smirked. “I’m the Sea God.”

Hearing this, Poseidon was infuriated.

If you’re the Sea God, then what am I?

This guy shows up out of nowhere, doesn’t go after Zeus or Hades, and decides to steal *my* worshippers?

To make matters worse, the guy was incredibly strong…

Poseidon fumed silently, not saying another word. Chen Ye, sensing his frustration, said coldly, “Poseidon, I’ll give you two choices: Hand over your trident and I’ll spare your life. Or, I’ll kill you and take it myself.”

“Arrogant fool!” Poseidon roared.

The trident represented his divine status—if he lost it, how could he still call himself a Sea God?

“You wretched human, you’ll suffer an eternal curse and die in agony for challenging a god!”

Despite Poseidon’s threatening words, his body began retreating quickly…

Chen Ye paused for a moment, surprised.

Was this old god trying to run?

“Coming to me and thinking you can run?” Chen Ye sneered. “Do you think you can escape?”

With that, he activated his telekinetic power.

Poseidon, who had been retreating, suddenly found his body immobilized, being pulled back toward Chen Ye.

Shocked, Poseidon immediately summoned his divine power, attempting to break free.

But at that moment, he saw a massive palm, engulfed in flames, speeding toward him.

Chen Ye, well-versed in ancient Greek mythology, knew that Poseidon was a high-ranking god, one of the three most powerful alongside Zeus and Hades. He knew this fight wouldn’t be easy, so he didn’t rely solely on his telekinesis.

The telekinetic grip was enough to surprise Poseidon and delay his escape.

As Poseidon struggled, Chen Ye unleashed the “Buddha’s Palm,” a devastating technique he hadn’t used in a while due to its immense energy consumption.

The fiery palm struck Poseidon before he could react.

It felt like being hit by a meteor—Poseidon’s body nearly shattered from the impact.

“Ahh!”

A pained scream escaped Poseidon’s lips.

To his credit, he was tough. Among all the enemies Chen Ye had faced, Poseidon’s endurance ranked in the top five!

The next moment, Chen Ye’s fist arrived.

The white, quake-infused punch landed directly on Poseidon’s chin.

“Crack!”

Something snapped.

Poseidon’s scream was abruptly cut off.

His jaw had been shattered by the blow.

The force of the punch sent Poseidon hurtling upward, flying out of the sea.

Chen Ye, however, had no intention of letting him go.

The trident was still in Poseidon’s hand.

With that thought, Chen Ye manipulated the seawater and chased after Poseidon.

Back underwater, the Atlanteans were left speechless, utterly stunned.

They had just witnessed their former god, Poseidon—the absolute ruler of the seas—get utterly crushed by the new Sea God…

This new Sea God was terrifying.

At first, the Atlanteans had feared that their shift in faith had angered Poseidon and that they were doomed to face his wrath.

But unexpectedly, the new Sea God had proven himself by completely overpowering Poseidon.

The Atlanteans could only watch in awe as the new Sea God beat Poseidon into submission and sent him flying out of the sea.

It felt surreal.

The once-untouchable ruler of the ocean, Poseidon, had been utterly defeated…

Had they not seen it with their own eyes, they wouldn’t have believed it.

In the royal palace…

“I’m going to check it out!” Arthur announced, immediately rushing toward the surface.

Mera and Atlanna exchanged glances before following him out.

Vulko and King Nereus also joined them.

This was a battle between the new god and the old god, one that would determine the future of the ocean’s dominion.

As part of the ocean-dwelling races, they were naturally invested in the outcome of this clash.

High above the surface, Poseidon had managed to stabilize himself.

At this moment, he felt like he was on the verge of death…

His entire body was wracked with pain.

Especially his jaw, which hurt so badly that it had gone numb—he couldn’t even speak because the bone had been shattered.

Slowly, Poseidon began to channel his divine power to heal himself.

“Poseidon, the fight isn’t over yet!”

A lazy voice called out from behind, startling Poseidon so much that he jumped like a frightened lobster, quickly darting away from where he had been.

Turning around, Poseidon saw that devilish human standing there, smiling calmly at him.

Cold sweat broke out across Poseidon’s forehead.

He was certain now—this being in front of him was human.

Despite the trident in his hand, there wasn’t a trace of divine power coming from him.

And yet, this human was utterly terrifying, the strongest foe Poseidon had ever faced.

Not even Zeus, the king of the gods, possessed the same destructive power that this human wielded.

Remembering the blows he had taken earlier, fear crept into Poseidon’s heart.

If he were hit a few more times, even his divine body would be destroyed…
