- Global Reincarnation: Only I Know the Plot
- GROIKTP Chapter 439
A new massive crater appeared in front of everyone.
It had been created by the punch Chen Ye had just thrown.
Earlier, when Chen Ye punched Superman, it was directed upward, with all the damage absorbed by Superman. Only a small fraction of the impact was released, so the others couldn’t fully comprehend how powerful Chen Ye truly was.
Now they knew.
The punch held the power to destroy worlds!
No wonder Superman, despite his steel body, had been sent flying, coughing up blood after taking that hit.
It was terrifying!
Even more frightening was that the earthquake caused by Chen Ye’s punch hadn’t stopped yet. In fact, it was spreading.
“Bzzz…”
The ground continued to tremble.
In the distance, buildings were collapsing under the intense seismic activity, and countless innocent civilians were fleeing for their lives.
Batman, alarmed, shouted, “Ronan, stop your ability! It’s harming innocent people!”
“Sorry, Bruce, this is a real earthquake. There’s nothing I can do to stop it,” Chen Ye replied as he dissipated his “Indestructible Demon Body” form.
Keeping the form active consumed too much energy. Even after just a few minutes, Chen Ye could feel his stamina rapidly depleting. If he kept it going for the full 20 minutes, he’d be left so weakened that he wouldn’t even retain a tenth of his combat strength.
Hearing this, the Justice League members were stunned into silence.
Bruce questioned, “If you knew your power would cause an earthquake, why didn’t you hold back?”
“I *did* hold back,” Chen Ye said calmly. “Otherwise, do you think the ground you’re standing on would still exist?”
Hiss!
Chen Ye’s words sent chills down the spines of the Justice League members.
What did he mean?
Did that imply that if Chen Ye had used his full strength, he could have shattered the entire continent?
Bruce and the others found it hard to accept such a notion.
Could a human really be that powerful?
But no one doubted the truth of Chen Ye’s claim—his abilities were simply too terrifying.
In fact, Chen Ye wasn’t exaggerating. The punch he had thrown just now only used 50% of his strength. When he fought the Phoenix in New York, he had used his full power, which resulted in a huge portion of the city’s ground collapsing.
“Can you all stop standing around?” Chen Ye remarked. “The Mother Boxes aren’t destroyed. Their power is still warping the surroundings. Find them quickly—once they fully merge, Earth might be done for.”
“And by the way, Clark isn’t dead. I only punched him out of the atmosphere. He’ll be back soon.”
Hearing this, the team snapped back to reality and hurried to the crater to search for the Mother Boxes.
Cyborg’s half-human, half-machine body was created through the energy of the Mother Box, so he had a unique connection to them. He quickly located the Mother Boxes buried deep in the ground where Chen Ye’s punch had struck.
Along with the boxes, they also found a gravely wounded Steppenwolf.
It was a pitiful sight.
Steppenwolf had been eagerly awaiting the complete fusion of the Mother Boxes, thinking it would grant him the power to conquer Earth. But disaster had literally fallen from the sky.
Chen Ye’s punch, even with only half its strength, had devastating power. Steppenwolf had been caught off guard, buried under the rubble before he even had a chance to react.
If it hadn’t been for his cosmic origins, which made him far tougher than Earth’s gods—nearly indestructible—and the fact that the Mother Box had absorbed some of the blow, Chen Ye’s punch might have killed him outright!
Though Steppenwolf survived, his body had suffered severe trauma. His armor was shattered, one of his horns was broken, and he was bleeding all over…
It was only thanks to his powerful vitality and nearly immortal lifespan that he was still alive. A human in his condition would have died long ago.
No one paid much attention to Steppenwolf. As powerful as he was, there was someone far more terrifying on their team.
Even at full strength, Steppenwolf wouldn’t stand a chance against Chen Ye…
“Victor, can you separate the three Mother Boxes?” Bruce asked.
“I’ll try!” Cyborg replied, stepping up to the merging boxes. His hands transformed into tools to connect with the fusion process.
Immediately, pain crossed Cyborg’s face.
“Victor, are you okay?” Diana asked, concerned.
Gritting his teeth, Cyborg replied, “I can handle it!”
Bruce and the others remained silent, watching Cyborg anxiously. He was their only hope of stopping the fusion.
…
Meanwhile, outside Earth’s atmosphere, a figure floated unconscious, drifting further from the planet in the vast, desolate vacuum of space.
This figure was moving toward the sun—the very heart of the solar system.
The figure was none other than Clark Kent, the demonic Superman who had been punched out of Earth’s atmosphere by Chen Ye.
As he bathed in the sun’s radiation, changes began to occur in Clark’s body.
The dark aura surrounding him gradually dissipated, and his once monstrous face returned to its normal, healthy appearance. His energy began to replenish, and soon he looked just as healthy as ever…
The next moment, Clark’s eyes snapped open.
He looked at the sun, then back at the Earth behind him, his expression filled with confusion.
Who am I?
What am I supposed to do?
How did I end up in space?
After a series of soul-searching questions, Clark slowly began to regain fragments of his memory.
He remembered being killed by Doomsday, then sinking into endless darkness, until some creature resurrected him with strange energy, forcing him to commit terrible acts.
Then another being, even more terrifying, had appeared and punched him out of the atmosphere…
As his memories pieced themselves together, Clark turned around and flew rapidly back toward Earth.
…
“Crack!”
The sudden sound startled Bruce and the others, making them turn to look at Chen Ye.
In Chen Ye’s hand, Steppenwolf’s neck was twisted at an unnatural angle, clearly snapped.
“Why are you all looking at me like that?” Chen Ye tossed aside Steppenwolf’s lifeless body and said casually, “I noticed he was secretly trying to heal, so I put an end to him.”
Bruce was speechless and turned to Cyborg. “Victor, can you separate the Mother Boxes?”
“Yes!” Cyborg confirmed. “But it’s risky—I’m going to need someone strong to help!”
Hearing this, everyone turned once again to look at Chen Ye.
Chen Ye: “…”
