GROIKTP Chapter 443

This entry is part 363 of 534 in the series Global Reincarnation: Only i Know the Plot

Late at night.

Tang Yuting hurriedly entered Song Lingrong’s room after just returning from the Reincarnation Space.

“Sis, wake up!”

Song Lingrong, still groggy from sleep, opened her eyes to see a very excited Tang Yuting.

“Yuting? What’s going on?”

She had gone to bed early because she had things to do the next day.

“Sis! Shura’s overall strength has broken through to S-Class!” Tang Yuting beamed with excitement, as if she herself had reached S-Class.

“Oh?”

Hearing this news, Song Lingrong was mildly surprised.

She knew this day would come, but the fact that it had arrived so quickly still caught her off guard.

“Shura really is someone born for the Reincarnation Space,” Song Lingrong sighed. “But with his talent, reaching S-Class is not unexpected.”

As she said this, she suddenly gave Tang Yuting a meaningful look. “Yuting, didn’t you already go to bed? Why did you sneak back into the Reincarnation Space?”

Caught off guard by the question, Tang Yuting hesitated, unsure of how to respond.

She couldn’t exactly tell her sister that she had set an alarm for 4 a.m. specifically to check on Shura’s progress…

“Let’s not talk about that, sis. There’s more. Shura didn’t just reach S-Class; he’s now ranked third on the Global Leaderboard!” Tang Yuting’s face lit up with joy as she spoke, clearly delighted by Chen Ye’s progress.

Once again, Song Lingrong was surprised.

Although the leaderboard wasn’t a perfect measure of combat power, it was a reliable indicator. And the fact remained that Shura had surpassed her.

While she felt some pride in Shura’s achievement, there was also a hint of disappointment.

She had been driven by the desire to compete with Adam, only to be surpassed by Shura before she could catch up to him.

Noticing the joy on Tang Yuting’s face, Song Lingrong furrowed her brows. “You seem pretty happy that Shura surpassed me?”

Tang Yuting, caught in her excitement, froze.

Oops!

She had been so focused on her excitement that she forgot to consider her sister’s feelings…

“Sis, listen, I—”

“Listen to what?!” Song Lingrong, her tone playful yet stern, grabbed Tang Yuting by the arm. “You’re already taking sides, and the two of you aren’t even together yet! I’m going to teach you a lesson, you little traitor!”

“Sis, I’m sorry! Please don’t hit me…” Tang Yuting pleaded.

The room immediately filled with lively commotion.

A short while later…

“Go to bed now! Unless you want to show up for your date with Shura tomorrow with dark circles under your eyes?”

“Sis! I want to stay here tonight… Let me give you a massage,” Tang Yuting said sweetly.

“Hmph! Fine… but press harder on my left shoulder. Yes, right there…”

Meanwhile, it was already past 4 a.m.

Chen Ye, having just left his personal warehouse, decided to visit the Global Leaderboard.

He knew he had reached S-Class, but he was curious about his ranking.

As he approached the leaderboard, he noticed a large group of Reincarnators gathered below, discussing him.

Chen Ye didn’t get too close, worried about being surrounded and unable to escape easily. Instead, he observed the leaderboard from a distance.

“Third place…”

Seeing the result, Chen Ye was a bit surprised.

It wasn’t that he had surpassed Murong Chuxue that surprised him. The Sea God’s Trident had significantly boosted his strength, and with him now being S-Class, it was no shock that he had overtaken her.

What surprised him was that, even with the power of the Sea God’s Ring, he still hadn’t surpassed Adam.

“Looks like Adam is stronger than I thought. I shouldn’t underestimate the top fighters on this leaderboard,” Chen Ye thought cautiously.

At that moment, the system suddenly notified him:

**“You have a new message: ‘Male God’ is requesting a video call. Please respond.”**

Hearing this notification, Chen Ye couldn’t help but feel a bit exasperated…

The so-called “Male God” was a nickname Jiang Tao, his chubby friend, had given himself. This guy not only styled himself like a pretty boy but also adopted such a flamboyant nickname. If you didn’t know him, you’d really think he was some sort of heartthrob.

Chen Ye accepted the call.

“Old Chen! Congratulations, you’re officially one of the top elites now!” Jiang Tao greeted cheerfully.

Chen Ye smiled. “Why are you still up so late?”

“I’m preparing to tackle the second floor of the Reincarnation Tower in a few days and wanted to see if any of my friends had tips or strategies for me.”

“Oh?”

Chen Ye recalled that the second floor had two instances.

The easier one was “Kung Fu Jungle,” while the nightmare-level instance was “The Eternall Evil of Asia.”

“Which instance are you planning to take on?” Chen Ye asked.

Without a warrior’s heart, facing the ghostly figure of Chu Renmei in “The Eternall Evil of Asia” could be deadly.

“Of course, I’m going with ‘Kung Fu Jungle.’ Do you think I’m like you, brave enough to take on nightmare-level instances and even get Super-God ratings?”

Hearing Jiang Tao’s response, Chen Ye chuckled. “I’ve never done ‘Kung Fu Jungle,’ so I don’t have any tips for you…”

At that moment, an idea occurred to Chen Ye.

In his personal warehouse, he had the Lion’s Roar Technique, which had been collecting dust because he didn’t know who to give it to.

Since the technique was quite low-level, it was useless to someone like Murong Chuxue. And the thought of Murong Yuling, an elegant girl, using a roaring technique to attack didn’t sit well with him.

So, why not give it to Jiang Tao?

“By the way, since you’re doing ‘Kung Fu Jungle,’ I have a martial arts technique that might come in handy. Want it?”

“Whoa!!” Jiang Tao’s eyes lit up. “Brother, you’re the best! What technique is it?”

“An audio-based technique: Lion’s Roar.”

Jiang Tao blinked. “I’ve heard of that before… Ah, I remember! Isn’t that the signature move of the Landlady from the ‘Kung Fu Hustle’ instance?”

“That’s right,” Chen Ye confirmed.

Jiang Tao became even more excited.

Though he had never met the Landlady, he had read online about how powerful she was, and how strong the Lion’s Roar Technique could be.

“I definitely want it! You’re the best, Old Chen!”

Feeling generous, Jiang Tao said, “Actually, Old Chen, I got something cool in my last instance. I was planning to sell it for some points, but since you’re being so generous, I’ll give it to you if you want.”

“Oh? What is it?” Chen Ye asked, amused.

In his mind, Jiang Tao’s rewards would likely be useless to him, given their difference in level.

“Purification!”

Jiang Tao explained, “It can instantly remove any negative effects and return you to peak condition, though it can only be used once a day.”

Hearing this, Chen Ye’s eyes lit up.

“‘Purification’ sounds like the Summoner Skill from *King of Glory,* but it seems like the Reincarnation System optimized it. I didn’t expect Jiang Tao to get such a useful skill.”

“For Jiang Tao, it might not be as important, but for me, this could counter the weakened state after using my Undying Rage!”

Chen Ye was definitely interested.

“Not bad, fatty. This skill could be useful for me. I’ll take it.”

Jiang Tao smiled. “Hey, we’re brothers! You saved my life before, and now you’re looking out for me. It’s only right I repay you. Let’s meet at the trading center!”

“Alright!”

Chen Ye smiled, pleased with this unexpected gain.

The “Purification” skill was far more valuable to him than the Lion’s Roar Technique.

Later, Chen Ye headed to the trading center to meet with Jiang Tao.

They completed their exchange in the trade room.

Jiang Tao was thrilled to get the Lion’s Roar Technique, while Chen Ye was equally pleased with his new Purification skill.

“Oh, right!”

Chen Ye suddenly remembered another item in his possession that was almost obsolete: the Black Blade, Autumn Water!

Given Jiang Tao’s gesture of goodwill, Chen Ye figured he might as well give him the blade.

Chen Ye took out the Black Blade.

“Fatty, this sword can cut through anything. Want it?”

Jiang Tao’s eyes lit up again, but he hesitated. “No way! I just gave you the one good thing I had. I can’t afford to trade with you.”

Chen Ye sighed, “I’m giving it to you for free because I think you could use it. I’m not asking for anything in return!”

“Old Chen! You’re the best!!” Jiang Tao grinned, giving Chen Ye a thumbs-up. “Of course I’ll take it!”

Chen Ye smiled and said, “You can have it, but you need to be careful. I took this sword from another Reincarnator, and my enemy is still out there. If they find out you have it, you might get into trouble. So when you use it, make sure no one else sees it.”

Jiang Tao wasn’t stupid. He quickly understood. “Wait… You’re talking about Autumn Leaf?”

“Exactly,” Chen Ye nodded.

“Damn…”

A hint of fear flashed

 across Jiang Tao’s face.

Autumn Leaf was definitely not someone he could afford to offend.

“Old Chen, you’re third in the world now. Is Autumn Leaf still causing you problems?”

“He doesn’t dare mess with me anymore, but I can’t say the same for you.”

“Why don’t you just deal with Autumn Leaf? With your current strength, you could finish him off in no time.”

Chen Ye sighed. “Because he holds a position under Murong Chuxue. Given my relationship with her, it’s not convenient for me to take action against him. Besides, that guy is smart. He’s already bowed to me. I have to show Murong some respect.”

“Of course, if he slips up and falls into my hands one day, that’s his bad luck.”

Jiang Tao finally understood the situation.

He gritted his teeth and said, “Alright, I’ll just use the sword sparingly, only in emergencies.”

Chen Ye chuckled and patted Jiang Tao on the shoulder. Then, under the system’s supervision, he transferred the Black Blade to Jiang Tao.

Since Chen Ye had taken the blade in a battle to the death, the transfer wasn’t bound by the usual three-year rule.

Chen Ye still had an even better weapon: the Xuanyuan Divine Sword!

He was using it less and less lately.

When the time came to retire it, he planned to give it to Murong Yuling.

She seemed like someone who could put it to good use.

“It’s getting late, Fatty. I’m heading offline to sleep.”

“Alright! Let’s hang out sometime, Old Chen!”

“Sure!”
