- Global Reincarnation: Only I Know the Plot
- GROIKTP Chapter 468
At midnight, as the clock struck 12, countless Reincarnators arrived in the Reincarnation Space.
Many had seen the video of the battle of the century online before coming, so as soon as they arrived, they rushed to the global rankings next to the Reincarnation Tower.
“Hey man, why are you in such a hurry?”
“Hurry up, we’re going to check if Adam is still on the top 100 list!”
“Adam? Why check on him?”
“Didn’t you see the video online tonight?”
“Video? What video?”
“The one showing the battle between Shura, Adam, and the Wind God… Come on, I’ll tell you more later.”
More and more Reincarnators gathered around the global rankings board.
When they arrived, they saw that the rankings hadn’t changed.
Adam was still on the list. His position hadn’t moved either—he was still ranked second.
“Damn, that bastard Adam! He was smashed to pieces by Shura and he’s still alive?”
“Seriously, this guy’s got an insanely tough life!”
“It’s weird. How did Adam survive? In the video, he was clearly turned to dust!”
“He must have some kind of special ability…”
“These S-ranked guys are all terrifying. They have so many trump cards.”
“Yeah, especially Shura. He’s the scariest of them all.”
“What are you all talking about? Who smashed Adam?”
“Dude, if you haven’t seen the video online tonight, you need to go check it out now. You don’t want to miss this—it could get taken down soon!”
“Hey, look! Yi Ye Zhiqiu’s name is gone from 87th place. Someone from 88th moved up. Serves him right.”
“That guy deserved to die. What a disgrace—he doesn’t deserve to be called a Chinese.”
As Reincarnators chatted under the global rankings board, Chen Ye quietly watched from a distance.
He glanced at the rankings and saw Adam’s name still there. This didn’t surprise him—he had expected it. He had only come to take a quick look.
Satisfied, Chen Ye turned and left, heading to the teahouse to book a private room and prepare for tonight’s Reincarnation instance.
At that moment, a system notification popped up:
**”You have a new communication request. ‘Murong Chuxue’ is inviting you for a video call. Please respond promptly.”**
Chen Ye was momentarily taken aback.
He hadn’t expected Murong Chuxue to still be awake.
He accepted the call.
Murong Chuxue’s slightly tired face appeared on the screen.
“Shura, I knew you couldn’t sit still and would come to the Reincarnation Space. Planning to take on a new instance tonight?”
Chen Ye nodded. “Yeah.”
Murong Chuxue sighed, “No wonder you’re so successful. Your drive is on a whole different level.”
Chen Ye smiled and asked, “Chuxue, did you have something you wanted to talk about?”
“I do.”
“Hold on, let me grab a private room at the teahouse. We can talk over tea.”
“Sure.”
After ending the call, Chen Ye booked a private room at the teahouse, ordered two cups of calming tea, and shared the room number with Murong Chuxue.
A few moments later, she arrived.
“Chen Ye.”
“Have a seat. I ordered some calming tea for you.”
Once she sat down, Chen Ye asked, “Chuxue, you looked pretty tired earlier. I thought you’d head straight to rest.”
“I wanted to, but I’m always busy, can’t help it,” Murong Chuxue said with a self-deprecating smile.
Just then, the tea arrived.
Both took a sip, feeling the soothing effect wash over them, easing their fatigue.
“Chen Ye, I’m here because of a request from above.”
“Oh? Are they trying to recruit me again?” Chen Ye laughed. “Chuxue, you know how I feel about that. If they want me to join, they’ll be disappointed.”
Seeing how Chen Ye immediately shut down the idea, Murong Chuxue smiled wryly. “Chen Ye, hear me out first.”
Chen Ye gestured for her to continue.
“Tonight, what Yi Ye Zhiqiu did enraged the higher-ups,” Murong Chuxue explained. “The Supreme Leader gave immediate orders to apprehend all members of the Yi family. However, Yi Ye Zhiqiu had already prepared for this, and the entire Yi family fled to the U.S.
“Thankfully, you defeated Adam tonight, showing all governments your strength and potential. The higher-ups immediately contacted the U.S. to negotiate. The U.S. has agreed to hand over the Yi family, and they’ve been arrested and are on their way back to China.”
“Chen Ye, the higher-ups wanted me to ask you how you’d like the Yi family to be handled. If you have any requests, they’re willing to respect your wishes.”
Chen Ye was surprised.
This essentially meant the fate of the Yi family was in his hands. It was a clear gesture of goodwill from the government.
Shura felt quite pleased by this.
He initially considered saying: **Execute them all!**
But he realized it might sound too harsh, especially in front of Murong Chuxue, given their slightly personal relationship and the fact that Tang Yuting was involved. Showing such ruthlessness might give the wrong impression.
Seeing his hesitation, Murong Chuxue offered, “If you’d rather not handle it, you can leave it to the government.”
Chen Ye nodded and asked, “How would they handle it?”
“Treason. They’d all be executed by firing squad,” Murong Chuxue replied, her tone cold and firm, displaying her military background.
Chen Ye was momentarily taken aback before realizing this was likely another move by the government to earn his favor.
The higher-ups were really pulling out all the stops to win him over.
“And there’s one more thing,” Murong Chuxue continued. “This operation against Adam wasn’t without reward. Everyone involved will be compensated. Since you don’t officially hold a government position, they’re not sure how best to reward you, so they asked me to find out if you have any preferences.”
Chen Ye instinctively wanted to refuse.
“No need for a reward. I didn’t do this for the money. Adam is a threat to me too,” he said, waving off the idea.
Murong Chuxue smiled. “Don’t be so quick to refuse. Everyone’s getting a reward, and you were the biggest contributor. If you decline, it’ll make others feel uncomfortable accepting their rewards.”
Chen Ye frowned.
That was indeed an issue.
He could ignore the government’s reward, but that didn’t mean others could. If he refused, it might make the others feel awkward accepting theirs.
Murong Chuxue continued, “I understand your concerns, Chen Ye. But don’t worry, the higher-ups respect your independence and won’t force anything on you. If you don’t want a position, just accept a resource-based reward—money or something else. That way, everyone else can accept theirs without feeling guilty.”
Chen Ye didn’t want to get in the way of others’ rewards, so he relented. “Fine, just give me the money. Transfer it to my account. But I’m skipping the award ceremony.”
Murong Chuxue smiled wryly. “I’ll pass along your request.”
She would have preferred if Chen Ye took on a role in the government. With a powerhouse like him, China’s global standing would only rise.
Having Shura on their side would also serve as a major deterrent to any foreign threats.
“Alright, we’re done with business…” Murong Chuxue said, her tone changing. “Now let’s talk about some personal matters.”
“Personal matters?” Chen Ye was puzzled.
Murong Chuxue grinned. “My aunt’s family knows about you and Yuting. They’re wondering when you’ll come over for dinner.”
Chen Ye was instantly embarrassed, at a loss for words…
—
Meanwhile, in the U.S., daytime due to the time difference, Adam was resting in his luxurious private villa.
Despite the Reincarnation Space being open, he had no intention of entering.
After today’s battle, he had suffered massive losses—his plan had failed, and he had lost two puppet bodies, leaving him physically drained. He looked much older, with strands of gray hair appearing at his temples.
Given his exceptional vitality, this was no minor effect. For someone like Adam, with his enhanced body and extended lifespan, aging like this was significant—he had lost years, if not decades, of his life force.
His losses had been immense.
In his current state, entering the Reincarnation Space or taking on a new instance was out of the question.
Just then, the butler entered and respectfully said, “Mr. Will, a group of people has arrived at the gate. They say they have an agreement with you.”
Adam frowned, sensing trouble.
Before the operation, he had made promises to gain the support of several other Reincarnators. Now they were here to collect.
But after suffering such a heavy loss, the last thing Adam wanted to do was hand over his precious rewards and items.
However, he had no choice. For the sake of his ambitions, he had to maintain his image.
“Let them in.”
As the butler left, Adam looked even more weary.
Soon, the Reincarnators entered the villa.
“Mr. Adam, it’s good to see you again.”
“We’re relieved to see you made it through, Mr. Adam.”
“You really are incredible—Shura himself couldn
’t bring you down.”
Their flattery was constant, even though they were there to collect on his promises.
“What brings you all here?” Adam asked calmly.
The Reincarnators exchanged glances before a black man spoke up. “Mr. Adam, we had an agreement before today’s operation. We’ve come to collect.”
Adam stood and sighed. “Today’s plan was a failure. I’ve suffered heavy losses, and frankly, I’m disappointed in your performance.”
Hearing this, the Reincarnators feared Adam might go back on his word. Their expressions darkened.
One of them quickly spoke up, “Mr. Adam, today’s failure was due to insufficient intelligence and the overwhelming strength of our enemies. We followed your instructions to the letter and fought the other Reincarnators.”
“That’s right! Mr. Adam, look at this wound—I got it fighting a Chinese Reincarnator.”
“Mr. Adam, you’re a figurehead for so many young people. You wouldn’t break your word, would you?”
After hearing their protests, Adam frowned, clearly displeased. “I will honor my promises. However, given today’s failure, we all share responsibility.”
The Reincarnators realized Adam wasn’t trying to renege, just looking to reduce his losses.
“What are you proposing, Mr. Adam?”
“I’ll sell you the special items I promised… but at a reduced price.”
Thanks for the chapter
