GROIKTP Chapter 469

This entry is part 390 of 534 in the series Global Reincarnation: Only i Know the Plot

When Adam spoke, the other Reincarnators finally understood his intentions.

Originally, he had promised to give away special items for free, but now he wanted them to pay some Reincarnation Points to acquire them.

The group exchanged glances.

To be fair, Adam’s request wasn’t unreasonable.

After all, the plan had failed, and Adam’s losses weren’t small—everyone had seen that. Adam wanted to cut his losses, which was understandable.

If it had been any of them in his position, they might not have even offered the items at all.

One of the Reincarnators asked, “Mr. Adam, how many Reincarnation Points would you like us to pay for these special items?”

Adam, like a magician performing a trick, pulled out a stack of papers.

It was clear he had prepared for this.

“The specific prices are listed here,” Adam said as he threw the papers out. “The prices I’ve set are very low. You won’t find cheaper special items anywhere.”

The Reincarnators took the papers and looked them over, their expressions quickly growing dark.

While Adam’s prices were indeed fair, and under normal circumstances, they would have been thrilled to get special items at such a price, the situation was different now.

They had been promised these items as rewards for their efforts, and now they had to pay Reincarnation Points to get them. Even if the prices weren’t high, it left a bitter taste in their mouths.

Many began to suspect that Adam had never intended to give the items away for free. Given how prepared he was with this price list, it seemed likely that Adam had planned this all along.

This whole operation was clearly a scheme—one targeting the Reincarnators from China, devised to eliminate those who posed the biggest threat to Adam. At the same time, Adam could sell his unwanted special items and turn a decent profit.

It was a win-win for him.

The group couldn’t help but feel both admiration and fear as they looked at Adam.

No wonder he was the first to break through to S-rank. His cunning and foresight were on a whole different level.

In China’s terms, he was someone who could anticipate every move, leaving nothing to chance.

**Back in the Reincarnation Space,** in a teahouse’s private room:

“By the way, Chen Ye, you’re about to take on the 17th-floor instance tonight, right?” Murong Chuxue asked.

Chen Ye nodded, his expression serious. “Chuxue, I was just about to ask you about that. What’s the deal with the 17th-floor instance?”

Chen Ye had, of course, done his research before arriving, and all he knew was that the 17th floor was a large-scale instance called *Heart Demon*.

The name didn’t give him much to go on—there were quite a few movies in his past life with similar titles, so he couldn’t pinpoint which world it might be. And strangely, there was no detailed guide or strategy available online.

Murong Chuxue smiled, seeing his confusion. “You must be wondering why there’s no guide for this instance, right?”

Chen Ye nodded again.

“That’s because, in this instance, you’ll be playing the role of yourself… from another world.”

“Another world’s version of me?” Chen Ye asked, clearly puzzled.

Murong Chuxue’s expression turned serious. “In simple terms, you’ll likely be in a parallel world—but it’s a parallel world with supernatural powers.”

Her tone became more grave. “Once inside, you’ll be playing the part of this other-world version of yourself. Most of the time, your task will involve fulfilling that person’s dreams or dealing with their unresolved issues.”

“These tasks might seem simple given your current strength, but you need to be cautious. There’s an unspeakable terror in that world—something you shouldn’t investigate. Complete your task and leave as soon as possible.”

Chen Ye was surprised. “An unspeakable terror?”

It sounded suspiciously like the **Cthulhu Mythos.**

“Yes,” Murong Chuxue nodded. Her expression was grim. “I’m warning you, even with your strength, you could still be in grave danger if you encounter such entities. Don’t let curiosity lead you astray.”

Chen Ye frowned deeply.

He had heard of the Cthulhu Mythos in his past life but wasn’t overly familiar with its details.

“Why are there no guides online for this instance?” Chen Ye asked.

“That’s part of the terror,” Murong Chuxue said, her brow furrowed. “Even in this world, just mentioning their names can drive people to madness…”

Chen Ye was taken aback.

But according to what he knew, the deities of the Cthulhu Mythos were indeed that powerful. Merely uttering their names could unleash chaos.

Murong Chuxue added, “For the 17th-floor instance, *Heart Demon,* just remember my warning. Don’t dig too deep. Once you pass this floor, we can talk more about it.”

She continued, “As for why there’s no guide for this instance… anyone who’s ever posted a guide has faced… problems. That’s why the higher-ups ordered all related guides to be removed.”

Chen Ye nodded solemnly. “I understand.”

Murong Chuxue checked the time—it was already half-past midnight. She stood up. “I won’t keep you from your instance any longer.”

Chen Ye got up to see her off.

As she walked to the door, Murong Chuxue suddenly turned back with a playful smile. “Chen Ye, with your current relationship with Yuting, shouldn’t you be calling me ‘big sister’? Go ahead, give it a try.”

Chen Ye blinked, then rolled his eyes.

He hadn’t expected Murong Chuxue, usually so composed and authoritative, to have such a mischievous side.

Laughing, Murong Chuxue left, clearly pleased with herself.

After she left, Chen Ye sat back down and fell into deep thought.

He began recalling everything he knew about the Cthulhu Mythos.

Although his memory was sharp, he realized he didn’t know as much as he would have liked about the terrifying entities of that lore…

(Author’s Note: Not sure how familiar you guys are with the Cthulhu Mythos, but it’s been mentioned in quite a few films… I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about this new instance, and I think it’s going to be an exciting one!)
