GROIKTP Chapter 495

This entry is part 416 of 534 in the series Global Reincarnation: Only i Know the Plot

At 9 AM, the enormous Bird’s Nest Stadium was packed to the brim.

As the host took the stage, it marked the beginning of the much-anticipated finals.

“Ladies and gentlemen here in the stadium, and to the audience watching from home, welcome back to the Martial Arts Tournament!” the host declared with enthusiasm. “After intense battles, we now have our final four competitors. Today, they will face off in this arena to determine the victor.”

“Now, please give a warm round of applause for our top four competitors!”

The stadium erupted with applause.

Amidst the continuous cheers, Chen Ye, Tang Zichen, and the other two contestants emerged from backstage, stepping onto the platform. The applause only grew louder, and many spectators started shouting, as if seeing their idols, filled with excitement.

“Sun Zhengying, go for it! Sun Zhengying, you got this!”

“Qian Ming, aim for the championship!”

“Tang Fairy, we love you…”

Several audience members held up signs, loudly cheering for their favorite competitors. Tang Zichen, Qian Ming, and Sun Zhengying each had dedicated fan groups supporting them.

The only awkward one was Chen Ye, who had nearly no one cheering him on.

It was clear that the previous allegations of him “rigging the fights” had made him infamous, but for all the wrong reasons.

However, Chen Ye didn’t mind in the slightest.

Once he showed his true strength, he was confident that all those doubting him would be silenced.

“Alright, now let the final four contestants draw their numbers,” the host announced.

The four competitors stepped forward and drew their numbers.

Chen Ye drew number 3, meaning his opponent would be Sun Zhengying, who drew number 4.

“The draw is complete!” the host declared. “Number 1 is Qian Ming, and his opponent is number 2, Tang Zichen. Number 3 is Chen Ye, and his opponent is number 4, Sun Zhengying!”

Hearing the results, the audience buzzed with excitement.

“Great! Sun Zhengying won’t face Qian Ming in the first round.”

“Yeah, those two are the top contenders. It’d be a shame if one got eliminated too early.”

“Too bad for Tang Fairy. She’s up against someone as tough as Qian Ming in the first round. She’ll probably be eliminated.”

“There are only two spots to represent the country, right?”

“Yeah, only the champion and runner-up get to go.”

“Then it’s settled. The champion and runner-up will be Sun Zhengying and Qian Ming!”

“They’re definitely strong. If they compete in the World Martial Arts Tournament, they’ll likely perform well. They might even win the world championship.”

“Haha, that cheat Chen Ye is going to get it now. Sun Zhengying is ruthless. His opponents have all been seriously injured.”

“Right? Can’t wait to see Sun Zhengying crush that fraud.”

The audience’s discussion was overwhelmingly negative toward Chen Ye.

Online, where the tournament was being streamed live, the comments mirrored the same sentiment. Anyone who suggested Chen Ye wasn’t cheating was quickly drowned out by mockery.

“Next…” the host announced loudly, “contestants 3 and 4 may take a brief rest. Contestants 1 and 2, please stay for the first match.”

Hearing this, Chen Ye and Sun Zhengying left the stage.

The host also stepped aside, leaving the platform for Tang Zichen and Qian Ming.

“Ding!”

The bell rang, and the match officially began.

On the stage, Tang Zichen and Qian Ming didn’t exchange any words. They immediately launched into combat.

“Bang!”

As soon as the fight started, Qian Ming unleashed a ferocious assault, powerful enough to make the air ripple.

The explosiveness of a grandmaster-level fighter was truly formidable.

Even Chen Ye showed some interest as he watched from the stands.

On stage, the two fought fiercely.

At first, Qian Ming was on the offensive, while Tang Zichen remained defensive.

However, to everyone’s surprise, despite the ferocity of Qian Ming’s attacks, Tang Zichen was effortlessly defending herself. Her face remained calm, showing no sign of panic.

It was clear to everyone who the superior fighter was.

The audience was shocked.

No one expected Tang Zichen, who had so far been known more for her beauty than her skills, to demonstrate such strength.

Before long, Qian Ming’s assault began to slow down. His attacks lost their earlier intensity.

It was clear that while his offensive was powerful, it drained his stamina. Even for a grandmaster, it was impossible to maintain such energy for long.

As Qian Ming grew fatigued, Tang Zichen took control.

At this point, even an amateur could see that Qian Ming was going to lose.

Once Tang Zichen counterattacked, Qian Ming’s defeat was inevitable.

Qian Ming himself seemed to realize this.

Having fought so hard to get to this point, he wasn’t ready to accept defeat.

“Hah!”

He let out a loud shout and took a step forward, throwing all his strength into a powerful palm strike aimed at Tang Zichen’s face.

This attack appeared even more ferocious than his earlier moves.

But Tang Zichen effortlessly sidestepped it.

What Qian Ming didn’t expect was that his strike had been a feint.

As Tang Zichen dodged, a sinister expression flickered across Qian Ming’s face. He quickly followed up with a vicious kick.

This kick was fast and brutal, giving no time to react. It was a dangerous move known as “Sleeve Kick,” which was meant to catch opponents off guard with its concealed, snake-like motion.

If it hit, it could cripple or even kill.

From the stands, martial arts experts watched closely, their eyes gleaming.

But just as Qian Ming’s lethal kick was about to land, Tang Zichen’s delicate hand intercepted his leg, pressing down on his shin.

In an instant, Qian Ming felt an unstoppable force. His leg was forced down before he could complete his move.

Thump! Thump! Thump!

Qian Ming staggered backward, his face filled with shock as he looked at Tang Zichen. His entire right leg had gone numb.

Tang Zichen, however, remained calm and unshaken, staring at Qian Ming with serene indifference.

“I… I’ve lost!” Qian Ming admitted, surrendering.

He finally understood the vast difference in their abilities. Tang Zichen was far beyond just a grandmaster.

Continuing the fight would only bring further humiliation.

When Qian Ming conceded, the entire Bird’s Nest Stadium fell silent.

No one expected one of the top contenders, Qian Ming, to lose.

It was clear to everyone that Qian Ming hadn’t held back. He simply couldn’t defeat this seemingly divine woman.

A stunning reversal!

The audience realized that Tang Zichen had been hiding her true strength all along.

“The winner of the first match is Tang Zichen!” the host announced.

The stadium erupted in applause.

Tang Zichen’s performance had left many in awe.

Her fanbase, in particular, was ecstatic, screaming her name in excitement.

“Tang Fairy, we love you!”

“Tang Fairy, you’re the best!”

“Tang Fairy, take the championship…”

Her fans’ cheers even drowned out the applause.

Despite the frenzy, Tang Zichen remained composed. She gracefully left the stage and returned backstage, focusing solely on the competition.

From the stands, Sun Zhengying watched Tang Zichen’s retreating figure with a serious expression.

His assistant leaned over and said, “Brother Sun, that woman, Tang, could be your toughest opponent. In your next match, you should conserve your strength and quickly deal with that Chen Ye guy.”

Sun Zhengying nodded in agreement.

“Next, we have contestant number 3, Chen Ye, and contestant number 4, Sun Zhengying, on stage!” the host announced.

Hearing this, Sun Zhengying immediately stood and headed for the stage.

“Good luck, Chen Ye!” Xiao Ling’er cheered from the sidelines.

Chen Ye also stepped onto the platform.

On the stage, Chen Ye and Sun Zhengying stood facing each other.

In the crowd, countless eyes were fixed on the two of them.

Many people were eager to see this fight.

They were particularly interested because they wanted to see Sun Zhengying defeat the “fraud” who had made a mockery of the tournament.

“Sun Zhengying, go get him!”

“Teach that faker a lesson!”

“Yeah, take him down!”

Many outspoken spectators loudly cheered for Sun Zhengying.
