GROIKTP Chapter 530

This entry is part 452 of 534 in the series Global Reincarnation: Only i Know the Plot

The sparring match between Saitama and Tatsumaki ended in an anticlimactic fashion!

Throughout the match, it was Tatsumaki attacking Saitama, while Saitama never retaliated against her.

The only time Saitama actually made a move was to destroy the meteor Tatsumaki had summoned.

And with just that one move, he showed everyone the terrifying power he possessed, leaving them all nearly scared out of their wits!

He was incredibly strong!

Even a fool could see that Saitama was far stronger than Tatsumaki.

After the match, a new question arose.

What rank should be assigned to Saitama?

With his level of strength, he clearly deserved to start at S-Class, and not at a low ranking either.

However, assigning him a rank that was too low wouldn’t reflect his true power and might also displease Mr. Mundo.

But giving him the second rank, right below Mr. Mundo, also didn’t seem appropriate.

Most of the current S-Class heroes had made significant contributions to the Hero Association, such as defeating powerful monsters.

While Saitama was overwhelmingly powerful, he was still an unknown figure. Jumping straight to the second-highest position in S-Class might cause dissatisfaction among many.

Several executives and the president gathered to discuss the matter at length, but none of them could make a decision.

So…

The president approached Chen Ye to seek his approval.

“Mr. Mundo, we’re having trouble deciding on how to evaluate Mr. Saitama’s rank. We’ll need to return and hold a proper meeting to carefully consider it…”

Chen Ye wasn’t in a rush and nodded. “That’s reasonable. It’s a serious matter and should be carefully evaluated.”

“Thank you, Mr. Mundo, for your understanding.”

The president smiled in relief. “It’s getting late, so how about we head back to the Association headquarters and have a meal together with you, Mr. Saitama, and Tatsumaki?”

Upon hearing there was food involved, a glimmer of emotion appeared on Saitama’s usually blank face.

He wanted to eat!

While Saitama wasn’t a glutton by nature, ever since becoming unbeatable, there weren’t many things that interested him anymore.

Eating was one of the few things that still brought him joy.

“Sounds good,” Chen Ye agreed easily.

Saitama’s face immediately lit up with happiness.

Tatsumaki, on the other hand, gave a proud “hmph,” which could be taken as her reluctant agreement…

Afterward, the group returned to the Hero Association headquarters in A-City.

Chen Ye, Saitama, and Tatsumaki headed to the dining hall for a meal.

Meanwhile, the president and other executives convened an emergency meeting.

In a large meeting room.

Not many people were present.

Since Chen Ye had requested secrecy, the president ensured that only the top executives and board members were aware of what had happened.

The meeting began.

They started by watching a video—a recording of the match between Saitama and Tatsumaki.

The video wasn’t long, so it was quickly over.

Once it finished, the room fell into a deep silence.

Everyone was stunned…

Where had this bald man come from, and how could he possess such terrifying power?

He was too strong!

Even Tatsumaki, whom they regarded as one of their strongest weapons, didn’t dare continue fighting…

“Ahem!”

The president’s voice broke the silence. “The bald man in the video is named Saitama. I’ve already sent people to gather more detailed information about him.”

“However, that’s not the most important part. What matters is that he is Mr. Mundo’s disciple, and according to reports, his terrifying strength is entirely due to Mr. Mundo’s training…”

“As for the match with Tatsumaki, it was an impromptu sparring session, conducted to evaluate Mr. Mundo’s disciple, Mr. Saitama, and assess his abilities before granting him an appropriate rank within the Hero Association.”

Upon hearing that Saitama would be joining the Hero Association, many of the board members and shareholders smiled.

A strong individual like him joining the Hero Association was undoubtedly great news for the organization!

“It’s fantastic to have him join the Hero Association!”

“With someone this powerful on our side, we’ll only grow stronger!”

“Exactly! Once the government hears about this, they’re bound to be envious.”

“Hahaha… Muramasa-san, let’s not be too harsh on the government!”

The shareholders joked amongst themselves, clearly in high spirits.

The president couldn’t help but caution them: “While it’s great that someone of his strength is joining the Hero Association, there’s a very tricky issue we need to address first!”

Someone asked, “What issue?”

“The problem is,” the president replied, “What rank should we assign to someone so powerful?”

Everyone suddenly realized this was indeed a big problem!

If they ranked him too high, the other heroes would be dissatisfied.

But if they ranked him too low, would someone as strong as him even accept?

After a moment of contemplation, one of the board members offered their opinion:

“It’s clear that this bald man, Mr. Saitama, is far stronger than Tatsumaki. We should be sincere and offer him the highest possible rank!”

Someone else countered: “But Mr. Saitama hasn’t made any contributions to the Hero Association yet. If we give him the highest rank right away, other heroes will surely be upset.”

“A powerful individual like him is exactly what we need! We can ignore a few complaints. After all, when Tatsumaki joined, she was immediately given the rank of third in S-Class, wasn’t she?”

“That was back then. The Hero Association wasn’t as established as it is now. No one cared much about rankings at that time. Now things are different. The Association has grown, and many eyes are watching us. We can’t afford to break the rules.”

“Yujirou is right. The Hero Association is no longer what it used to be. We need to have strict protocols, and no one should be allowed to bypass them.”

“But what if this strong individual feels we’re not being sincere and refuses to join? That would be a huge loss for the Hero Association!”

“How about we find a middle ground? We could evaluate him as S-Class Rank 10… A newcomer with that ranking would still show our sincerity.”

“That’s a good idea. We should go with that!”

“S-Class Rank 10? I agree.”

The room buzzed with discussion.

Hearing the conversation, the president frowned.

He couldn’t help but remind them: “Everyone, I must remind you that this Mr. Saitama is Mr. Mundo’s disciple! His strength is a direct result of Mr. Mundo’s training. Don’t forget that!”

Upon hearing this, the group paused, their surprise evident.

“A disciple of Mr. Mundo?”

“If his disciple is this powerful, just how terrifying must Mr. Mundo’s strength be?”

“Wait! Based on footage from three years ago, Mr. Mundo was strong, but not to the point where he could vaporize a meteor like Mr. Saitama just did.”

“How foolish. Mr. Mundo didn’t vanish for three years just to take a vacation—he was training. Mr. Mundo today must be far stronger than his disciple!”

“Hiss! I see…”

“Mr. Mundo is truly incredible!”

“In that case, we need to reconsider Mr. Saitama’s ranking more carefully.”

“Yes, we must take Mr. Mundo’s feelings into account…”

“In that case, S-Class Rank 10 seems inappropriate for Mr. Saitama. I think Rank 3 would be more fitting.”

“S-Class Rank 3? Isn’t that a bit too high? He’s still a newcomer.”

“No! That rank is well-deserved. I doubt Tatsumaki would object either.”

“Remember, his Master is Mr. Mundo!”

The room buzzed with more lively discussion.

After much debate, the second proposal was suggested:

S-Class Rank 3!!

The president frowned again upon hearing this.

Assigning Saitama the rank of S-Class 3 would surely satisfy Mr. Mundo.

However, granting such a high rank to a newcomer would undoubtedly stir up discontent, leading to potential issues…

The president sighed, feeling a headache coming on.

For the first time, he realized how difficult it was to be president…

“If only my father were here, what would he do?”

The president muttered to himself before suddenly pausing.

That’s right!

I can ask my father for advice!

The president then turned to the others and said, “Everyone, how about we consult my father on this matter?”

The group immediately agreed.

“Old President Agoni is very experienced. Consulting him is the right decision.”

“I have no objections.”

“Perhaps he’ll have an even better idea…”

With everyone in agreement, the president initiated a video call with his father, who was currently resting.

Soon.

The video connected.

On the large screen in the conference room, the image of an elderly man with silver hair appeared.

Three years had passed, and Agoni looked much older, having just recovered from a serious illness. He didn’t seem to be in the best condition.

“Good afternoon, everyone!”

Agoni greeted the top executives through the video.

The executives responded enthusiastically:

“Mr. Agoni, it’s been a long time.”

“Good afternoon, Mr. Agoni.”

“You’re looking as energetic as ever…”

After some pleasantries, Agoni asked his son, “So, you’re having a meeting? What’s the matter?”

“Well…”

The president quickly explained the situation.

Agoni was surprised. “You’re saying that Mr. Mundo has returned?”

“Yes, Father. Mr. Mundo also mentioned that he’d like to visit you when it’s convenient.”

“Hahaha!” Agoni laughed heartily. “Tell Mr. Mundo that I’ll be available anytime he wishes to visit.”

“Of course, Father.”

Then, Agoni began offering his advice.

“As for the issue you’re discussing… I think you should ask Mr. Mundo himself instead of consulting me.”

His words were a wake-up call!

Everyone immediately realized the obvious!

Of course!

Instead of debating it here, why not let Mr. Mundo decide?

The old president’s experience was truly unmatched—his way of handling things was always so clever!

The current president was still too inexperienced…

“Thank you, Father, for your guidance. I understand now!”

The president quickly responded.

In the dining hall.

While eating, Chen Ye noticed something strange about Tatsumaki.

He could feel that during the meal, Tatsumaki had glanced at him at least a dozen times, seemingly sneaking peeks…

What is going on?

Did I somehow offend this grown-up “loli”?

“Master, is something wrong? Don’t you like the food? You should try this dorayaki—it’s delicious,” Saitama offered from beside him.

Chen Ye waved his hand. “You go ahead. I’m fine.”

After finishing their meal, something even stranger happened.

While Chen Ye and Saitama were relaxing in the dining hall’s lounge, Tatsumaki followed them in and didn’t show any sign of leaving.

Seeing this, Chen Ye couldn’t hold back anymore and walked over to Tatsumaki, asking, “Tatsumaki, is there something you need? Or have I offended you somehow?”

A hint of embarrassment flashed across Tatsumaki’s face before she quickly regained her usual prideful demeanor, giving a “hmph” and remaining silent.

She wasn’t sure how to bring up what was on her mind…

Chen Ye frowned, thinking Tatsumaki still wanted to challenge him, and said, “Do you want to challenge me again? But you couldn’t even defeat my disciple!”

Hearing this, Tatsumaki’s hair began to float, and she clenched her teeth in frustration.

So infuriating!!

“What? Are you planning to fight here?” Chen Ye thought Tatsumaki was about to unleash her powers and said, “If you really want to fight, let’s take it outside.”

Chen Ye was simply looking to settle things with this strange woman quickly so he could move on with his own matters.

Tatsumaki took a deep breath to calm herself and finally spoke:

“Hey, Mundo, I admit you’re stronger than me… Your disciple said you have a special training method? That his strength comes from your guidance?”

“And what if it does?” Chen Ye asked, confused.

“Can you… teach me your training method?”

Tatsumaki finally revealed her request.

Of course, she wasn’t interested in gaining strength for herself.

She was already proficient in using her telekinesis and didn’t want to switch to a physical combat style.

Tatsumaki wanted to learn Chen Ye’s “training method” for her younger sister’s sake. She wanted to make her sister stronger…
