GROIKTP Chapter 537

This entry is part 459 of 534 in the series Global Reincarnation: Only i Know the Plot

“Boom!”

A loud explosion echoed.

Saitama casually withdrew his fist, glancing at the monster he’d reduced to pulp. He scratched his head sheepishly and said, “Sensei…”

Chen Ye frowned and replied, “Saitama, you need to use less force next time. I need to personally take care of that Great Serpent. You can’t just kill him with one punch.”

“But… I was already holding back,” Saitama rubbed his bald head again, looking even more embarrassed.

Chen Ye couldn’t help but feel exasperated.

With Saitama’s overwhelming strength, there was nothing more to say. All he could do was instruct, “You need to learn how to control your power!”

Easier said than done.

In fact, Saitama already had pretty good control over his power.

Otherwise, he wouldn’t have divided his attacks into the “Serious Series” and “Normal Punch” series.

The reason he kept ending fights in one punch was simply because his opponents were too weak and his strength too immense. It made it hard for him to accurately gauge how much they could handle…

Regardless, since Sensei said so, Saitama had to take it seriously.

“Please guide me, Sensei!” Saitama said earnestly.

Chen Ye was momentarily taken aback.

He had only said it casually, hoping Saitama would hold back a bit. He hadn’t even fully grasped the extent of Saitama’s strength—what guidance could he possibly give?

After thinking for a moment, Chen Ye said, “I can’t give you any pointers on controlling your strength… Just follow my lead later.”

“Understood!”

The two continued forward.

As they passed through a long tunnel, the space ahead suddenly opened up.

A massive underground chamber unfolded before them.

“Sensei, I didn’t expect a place like this down here…” Saitama marveled in awe.

Chen Ye nodded. Familiar with the storyline, he wasn’t surprised, and he reminded Saitama, “Stay alert. This should be the core of the Monster Association’s base.”

Saitama’s expression immediately grew serious.

“Got it, Sensei.”

At that moment, a massive figure emerged from the shadows ahead.

“Who dares intrude on my domain?!”

A deep voice rumbled.

The next moment, a giant monster stepped into their view.

This creature stood nearly nine meters tall, an actual giant with four pairs of vertical, blood-red eyes glaring from a human-like body, exuding a menacing presence in the dark.

Of course, neither Chen Ye nor Saitama was intimidated by a monster.

Under the faint light, Chen Ye got a better look at the creature and was slightly surprised.

He recognized this monster immediately as one of the Monster Association’s executives, a Dragon-level monster known as “Goketsu.”

Goketsu had been the champion of the first Martial Arts Tournament. As a human, he had challenged monsters and was defeated, eventually captured by the Monster Association and coerced into eating a monster cell, which turned him into a monster.

In the original storyline, this guy was incredibly powerful!

He easily defeated Genos, nearly destroying his body, then headed to the Martial Arts Tournament, where he massacred many martial artists.

One of those martial artists, Suiryu, was quite arrogant, but his strength was legitimate. Genos had even commented that Suiryu had the potential to be an S-Class Hero. Yet, in front of Goketsu, Suiryu was as fragile as a child and was easily defeated…

If it weren’t for the misfortune of encountering the bald-headed demon king, Goketsu would have been a massive threat to humanity.

Unfortunately for Goketsu, he ended up meeting Saitama and was obliterated in an instant.

“Hmm? Two humans?”

Goketsu’s eight eyes fixed on Chen Ye and Saitama as he spoke in a low voice. “Making it this far means you’re quite strong…”

With that, Goketsu tossed something onto the ground.

It was a cluster of strange, squirming meatballs, grotesque and alive.

“What are these?” Saitama asked, curious.

“Monster cells,” Goketsu replied calmly. “Eat them, and you’ll gain incredible power, becoming monsters.”

Chen Ye was momentarily taken aback.

Of course, he recognized the monster cells.

But…

Offering monster cells right off the bat? What kind of strategy was that?

And he’s trying to recruit both him and Saitama into the Monster Association?

That being said, what would happen if the already powerful bald demon king ate one of those monster cells?

“I see great potential in both of you. Eat the monster cells and join the Monster Association. I’ll even let you be my subordinates,” Goketsu said coolly.

Saitama instantly rejected the offer without a second thought, “No way, I’m not eating something so disgusting…”

Chen Ye, more focused on the mission, demanded, “You’re Goketsu, right? Tell me where your leader, ‘Orochi,’ is, and I won’t kill you.”

Hearing this, Goketsu burst into laughter as if he had just heard the funniest joke in the world.

“Not kill me? Hahaha… What a ridiculous notion!”

Given his size, Goketsu’s laughter echoed loudly throughout the entire underground chamber.

Even Saitama, normally oblivious, could tell that Goketsu was mocking his Master.

Suddenly!

The bald demon king grew angry.

It was one thing to mock him, but no one could mock his Master.

“How dare he…”

Saitama clenched his fist, glaring at Goketsu, waiting for his Master’s command to deliver a punch.

“Do you even know who I am, you ignorant humans?” Goketsu sneered, looking down at Chen Ye. “Compared to me, you’re nothing but insects…”

Hearing this, Chen Ye realized that Goketsu wouldn’t back down without a fight. Tired of the conversation, he simply instructed Saitama, “Saitama, take care of him!”

“Got it!”

In a flash, Saitama leaped forward, instantly closing the gap between him and Goketsu.

Goketsu was shocked. He hadn’t even seen how the bald man moved so fast.

Just as Goketsu prepared to retaliate, Saitama’s fist was already clenched.

Then.

“Normal Punch!”

Boom!!

Goketsu felt like he’d been hit by a nuclear bomb. He couldn’t even react before his entire body was pulverized into dust, leaving only wreckage in his wake. Even the structures behind him were obliterated.

When Saitama returned to Chen Ye’s side, the massive underground chamber was nothing but a pile of rubble—and a pair of severed, giant feet.

Chen Ye couldn’t help but feel a bit of pity for Goketsu.

He had been a Dragon-level monster, one of the most formidable. But encountering the bald demon king meant he hadn’t even had a chance to show off his strength before being turned to dust.

Poor guy.
