GROIKTP Chapter 579

This entry is part 502 of 534 in the series Global Reincarnation: Only i Know the Plot

The plot of *Pacific Rim* is quite simple!

One day, a massive portal appeared deep within the ocean. From this portal emerged countless giant Kaiju, invading the human world.

These Kaiju were extremely hostile towards humanity, born with an inherent drive for destruction, wreaking havoc on the human environment.

Countless people perished under the claws and fangs of these monsters.

Faced with these terrifying giants, human weaponry proved almost useless.

To combat the colossal Kaiju, humanity’s top minds developed enormous mechs, similar in size to the Kaiju, called “Jaegers” to fight against them.

At the dock.

As the towering wave approached, it quickly drew the attention of many.

Beneath the wave, a massive shadow could be seen, surging through the water and rapidly approaching the dock, concealed by the waves.

“Kaiju!!!”

As soon as one person screamed in terror.

Panic immediately engulfed the dock.

“The Kaiju is coming! The Kaiju is coming…”

“Run for your lives!”

“Oh God! Why is the Kaiju attacking now…”

“Help us!”

As more and more people noticed the enormous shadow, the chaos at the dock grew worse.

Everyone dropped what they were doing, scrambling to flee.

People tripped and fell, triggering stampedes in the panic.

At this moment, no one cared if they were trampling others. All they wanted was to escape as quickly as possible.

Even before the Kaiju arrived, people were already getting injured or killed in the chaos of the stampede!

“Chen! Why are you just standing there? Run!”

The black guy from earlier was also fleeing but stopped to grab Chen Ye, who was still standing there, seemingly unfazed.

Chen Ye remained indifferent and said, “You go ahead. I want to see what the Kaiju looks like.”

The black guy stared at Chen Ye as if he’d lost his mind.

“Man, you’re crazy… Oh God, it’s coming! Run!”

With that, the black guy left Chen Ye and ran for his life.

Chen Ye had no intention of running. He really did want to take a good look at the Kaiju.

And then… kill it!

This dungeon only restricted the use of special items, not his abilities!

With Chen Ye’s current strength, he was more monstrous than the Kaiju themselves…

“ROAR!!!”

With a deafening roar, the Kaiju finally surfaced and charged onto the dock.

It was huge!

Even Chen Ye couldn’t help but be impressed by the sheer size of this creature.

This was by far the largest being he had ever encountered in any dungeon.

The Kaiju standing before him was easily over 50 meters tall—Chen Ye estimated it to be closer to 60 or 70 meters.

When it stood upright, it towered over the tallest buildings, a colossus.

In comparison, humans were like ants before it.

The Kaiju’s appearance was horrifying and grotesque…

The one in front of him, for example, had a body resembling that of a dinosaur, but its head resembled that of a spider, with three pairs of compound eyes—six eyes in total.

A giant creature like this standing before humans created an unimaginable sense of oppression.

Many of the people who had been fleeing turned pale as they saw the Kaiju land ashore.

Some were so terrified that they wet themselves, their legs giving way as they collapsed to the ground…

“It’s here! The Kaiju is here…”

“Help! Somebody save us!”

The panic on the dock grew even more intense.

In stark contrast to the chaos around him, Chen Ye remained calm and unaffected.

‘I’ve seen enough. Time to get down to business.’

With this thought, Chen Ye casually rolled up his sleeves, ready to take action.

Just then.

A loud rumbling sound of engines came from the distance, catching Chen Ye’s attention.

Looking up, he saw a dozen large transport helicopters in the sky, carrying a massive Jaeger towards the coast.

The giant mech was none other than a Jaeger.

‘Pretty quick response.’

Chen Ye was slightly surprised.

The Kaiju had only just come ashore, and yet the Jaeger had already arrived—a swift response indeed.

Chen Ye guessed that the military must have detected the Kaiju while it was still in the ocean and immediately dispatched the Jaeger to intercept it.

‘A Jaeger fighting a Kaiju? This should be interesting!’

Chen Ye smiled, deciding not to intervene yet. He wanted to enjoy the show first.

With three days to complete the mission, he had plenty of time!

The people who had been fleeing began to cheer as they saw the Jaeger arrive.

“The Jaegers are here to help us!”

“It’s the *Gipsy Danger*! That Jaeger is a beast. We’re saved!”

“Thank God! Thank Gipsy Danger…”

The Kaiju, now on the shore, also noticed the rapidly approaching Jaeger and let out an enraged roar!

The Kaiju in *Pacific Rim* were actually quite intelligent and could easily recognize threats.

However, these creatures had a mission to destroy humanity and were utterly fearless in their resolve.

As the transport helicopters rapidly approached, a fierce battle was inevitable.

Chen Ye made his way to the rooftop of a tall building.

From there, he had a perfect vantage point to watch the impending battle.

All that was missing was a chair and some popcorn…

“BOOM!”

When the transport helicopters released the Jaeger, the ground shook with a massive tremor, as if an earthquake had struck.

This gave a clear idea of just how heavy the Jaeger was!

*Gipsy Danger.*

This was a Mark V Jaeger created by the Pan Pacific Defense Corps, standing at 79 meters tall and weighing 1,980 tons.

As soon as it touched the ground, Gipsy Danger charged toward the Kaiju!

It didn’t move slowly either.

It sprinted forward, demonstrating impressive mobility.

Before long.

The two massive figures collided with a thunderous crash.

“BOOM!”

The ground trembled.

What followed was an intense and thrilling battle.

Gipsy Danger’s arms transformed into blades, and it used its agility to inflict deep cuts on the Kaiju.

Within moments, Gipsy Danger had gained the upper hand.

The Kaiju could only let out roars of pain and fury as it was repeatedly wounded.
