GTA Chapter 136

This entry is part 137 of 236 in the series Online Game: God Tier Assasin, I am The Shadow!

Qin Xiaoyou was overwhelmed with despair.

The world’s dangers far exceeded anything she had ever imagined.

She had merely intended to sell a house. But instead, the person who came to view it drugged her. When she regained consciousness, she found herself bound in this horrific place…

Fear coursed through her as she trembled uncontrollably.

When the man in black, holding a chainsaw, stood up, her instinct to survive kicked in, and she began to struggle desperately…

Unfortunately.

Her strength attribute was not high.

Even though she had reached Level 10 in the Godforsaken Game, she hadn’t amassed enough lifespan to extract her abilities into the real world.

No matter how hard she fought, there was no escape from her fate!

In truth…

Such dangers had always existed, even in the old world.

But with the arrival of the Godforsaken Game, some people’s darkest desires had been amplified, making threats more immediate, more widespread…

Qin Xiaoyou had heard rumors about the Jianghai City serial killer.

Yet, for the sake of selling her house and earning a large sum of lifespan, she ignored the risk, thinking such horror was too distant to touch her.

Never had she expected to run right into it.

“No… no… I don’t want to die…”

Qin Xiaoyou struggled desperately, but with her mouth stuffed with her own socks, all she could manage were muffled cries.

The man in black, wearing skull-patterned gloves, slowly rose with the chainsaw, but then paused. He turned and picked up a power drill.

“Chainsaw or drill first? Little sister, why don’t you pick?”

“Oh, I forgot you can’t speak. Well, how about this? One sound for the drill, two sounds for the chainsaw.”

The cold, perverse voice sent chills down her spine.

As the man lifted his head, the dim light revealed the scar on his face and the madness glinting in his eyes.

Terrified, Qin Xiaoyou’s features twisted in horror.

“Mmmpf! Mmmpf!” she screamed, straining against her bindings.

“Oh, six cries. An even number. Chainsaw it is, then.”

With a sickening smile, the man approached.

The chainsaw roared to life.

The deafening screeching filled the room, and Qin Xiaoyou’s mind went blank.

“Surely a hero will appear…”

“Someone must…”

“Someone… save me…”

She clung desperately to the hope that a hero would burst in and end this nightmare, like in the dramas she once watched.

But alas.

Heroes only appear on time in fiction.

In reality…

The hero she needed, Ghostblade, was just now finding her way.

But she was too late to save Qin Xiaoyou immediately.

At that moment…

‘The Butcher’ ran the chainsaw along Qin Xiaoyou’s bound leg, then suddenly stopped.

!!!

Her body convulsed in terror as if struck by lightning…

She felt like she had fallen into an endless abyss.

“If Qin Feng were here, he’d risk everything to save me…”

The pain was too much, and her mind drifted.

She instinctively thought of Qin Feng…

Whenever she was bullied or in trouble, he had always protected her.

But now, Qin Feng was gone…

As Qin Xiaoyou teetered on the brink of unconsciousness from the excruciating pain, a soft white light suddenly appeared before her.

It was a healing light.

It wrapped around her injured leg, halting the bleeding.

Warmth spread throughout her body…

“Am I… being saved?”

Tears streamed down her face as hope briefly kindled.

But then, her despair deepened.

The person casting the healing spell was none other than the twisted scar-faced man!

“Allow me to introduce myself—I’m ‘The Butcher.’”

His breath quickened, a deranged glint in his eyes, spattered with her blood.

“When I joined the game, I wanted a hidden class. But I became a Priest…”

“At first, I thought it wasn’t a good fit.”

“Turns out it’s perfect!”

“Without healing, my toys lose consciousness far too quickly. But with this blood-stopping skill…”

He let out a guttural laugh, his voice echoing off the walls.

???

What in the—

Qin Xiaoyou broke down, her spirit shattered, and fainted.

“Don’t worry, little sister. When you wake up, we’ll keep playing.”

“Next time, the drill…”

“Is this the place?”

At last, Ghostblade arrived outside the abandoned warehouse.

She had struggled to find Golden Rooster Lake Park, one of the disposal sites for dismembered bodies.

Although the scene was long sealed off, she used her fourth-level stealth and transformed into her Yellow Spring Ghost form to infiltrate the site.

The bodies were gone, but she tracked the killer’s scent.

With her target identified, her speed increased.

Soon, she reached the warehouse.

From outside, with her heightened senses, she faintly heard muffled cries. They sounded like a woman in immense pain, not just fear.

“The killer is still here?”

Ghostblade slipped in silently.

She sensed the victim had lost consciousness…

Finding the basement entrance locked, she hurled her bladed chain, smashing through the iron door.

“Who’s there?!”

The noise jolted ‘The Butcher,’ who spun around.

But before he could react, a greenish blade shot toward him!

“Shit!”

Though quick, with attributes extracted into reality, he barely dodged, only for the blade to pierce his right chest.

In the dim light, Ghostblade’s petite form emerged, calm and deadly.

She had deliberately avoided striking the heart.

Per Qin Feng’s orders.

“Tell me who’s behind this, and I might spare your life.”

Her voice was cold.

‘The Butcher,’ bleeding heavily, sneered and tried to heal himself.

But—

She kicked him in the face, interrupting the spell and sending him into cooldown!

“Talk.”

Her chain lashed out again, skewering his leg.

“AAAHHH!”

He screamed, drenched in cold sweat, staring in disbelief at this petite attacker.

Ghostblade glanced at the unconscious Qin Xiaoyou, bound to the blood-soaked table.

“Poor thing, lost a leg…”

“Maybe it can be reattached with healing magic?”

She wasn’t sure.

Not that it mattered—her mission was killing, not saving.

As she advanced with her bloodied chain, fear overtook ‘The Butcher.’

“Stay away—don’t come any closer!”
