GTA Chapter 146

This entry is part 147 of 236 in the series Online Game: God Tier Assasin, I am The Shadow!

—-

[You consumed 1+2+30 Evolution Points, remaining: 171 points.]

[Strength Training (Jade → Diamond → Epic → Legendary): Passively increases Strength by 48 → 72 → 96 → 144. Requires Level 18.]

[Legendary Additional Effect: Increases total Strength by 10%.]

—-

Previously, Qin Feng had learned Agility Training and evolved it to Legendary, granting him 126 Agility points. That was because the Agility Training skill book was a Level 14 skill.

However, the Strength Training skill book was a Level 18 skill, so the values were higher. Still, the Legendary additional effect of a 10% total attribute increase remained the same.

Qin Feng didn’t dwell on it and turned his attention to another skill book.

It was a low-quality drop from a centipede minion—a skill book for Backstab Enhancement.

“Time to upgrade this,” Qin Feng decided.

He learned the skill and applied its effects.

—-

[Backstab Enhancement (Legendary): Requires Level 1 → 17. Increases damage by 100% → 180% when attacking from behind.]

[Legendary Effect: While in stealth, all your attacks are treated as backstabs!]

—-

One word: Overpowered.

The low-quality Backstab Enhancement skill book originally provided an 18% damage boost for backstabs. However, since Qin Feng had already evolved his Backstab Enhancement to Legendary, the value had increased tenfold.

“From 2x backstab damage to 2.8x… That’s absurd,” Qin Feng thought.

The key was that as long as he was in stealth, all of his attacks were treated as backstabs. Combined with his ability to remain in stealth while attacking, every strike became a deadly blow.

With this immense power, Qin Feng told Wang Meng to wait a few hours—his goal was to clear out the Skull Ruins and eliminate every monster within the area.

“The Skull Ruins, like the Haunted Ghost Ship, is a Level 20 farming zone,” Qin Feng noted.

“It’s also a berserk zone where lifespan drains a hundred times faster.”

“If I clear all the monsters here, I should reach my third class advancement!”

Qin Feng’s second advancement had granted him true permanent stealth. He was curious to see what the third advancement would unlock.

As he gathered the lifespan orbs and loot outside the ruins, Qin Feng maintained his stealth and headed toward the Skull Ruins.

What lay before him was a cluster of architectural ruins. At its center was an enormous, partially buried human skull embedded in the ground.

Of course…

Such a massive skull could hardly belong to a human. A normal human skull measures 10–20 centimeters, while this skull spanned hundreds of meters in width. Even the portion protruding from the ground—the forehead and crown—stood several dozen meters tall.

No one knew what this skull belonged to, but the ruins inside it seemed to have been built by an ancient tribe or race.

-The upper levels were contained within the skull itself.

-The lower levels consisted of irregular piles of gigantic bones.

While the skull vaguely resembled a human’s, the lower regions bore no resemblance at all.

—-

Qin Feng approached a doorway set into the skull’s forehead. This was the entrance to the ruins.

The ruins didn’t have a level requirement for entry. However, reaching the innermost core required being Level 20, as that was where players could potentially obtain a flying mount.

—-

[You have entered the ‘Skull Ruins’! This area is a berserk zone!]

[Lifespan loss rate: 100x normal.]

—-

Ignoring the system warning, Qin Feng began clearing monsters.

The Skull Ruins were filled with pale, twisted monsters that resembled humanoids but had bizarre lower halves. Some had centipede-like bodies, others worm-like, beetle-like, or spider-like appendages.

The entire area resembled a grotesque bio-engineering lab.

To Qin Feng, however, these abominations were nothing more than walking experience points.

In stealth, he unleashed Shadow Blades, Night Blade Rings, and Shadow Slash to devastating effect. The eerie ruins echoed with the monsters’ screams as Qin Feng’s experience soared.

He meticulously looted every corpse, extracting every last bit of value.

The upper regions of the Skull Ruins alone contained over ten levels. Each level housed hundreds of monsters, all of which became fodder for Qin Feng’s skills.

Occasionally, he picked up low-quality or common loot.

After two hours of non-stop carnage, Qin Feng had slain several thousand monsters and accumulated 242 Evolution Points.

—-

[You consumed 1+2+3+5+8+13+210 Evolution Points, remaining: 0 points.]

[Smoke Bomb (Bronze → … → Legendary): Releases a smoke bomb that obscures enemy vision and deals minor dark-element damage…]

[You used ‘Soul Devour’ on the skill ‘Smoke Bomb (Legendary)’!]

[Your Mental stat changes: Each point now converts to 3 → 5 Elemental Attack and 5 → 7 All-Elemental Resistance!]

[Elemental Attack: 1,373 → 1,895]

[All-Elemental Resistance: 1,623 (61.8% damage reduction) → 2,145 (68.2% damage reduction)]

—-

The Smoke Bomb skill, which obscured enemy vision, was rendered redundant by Qin Feng’s unparalleled stealth capabilities.

So, he devoured it.

The resulting stat boost significantly increased his elemental attack power and resistance.

“Shadow Blade, Night Blade Ring, and my ultimate skill Crimson Blade all hit harder now,” Qin Feng calculated. “At this rate, I’ll max out both physical and elemental damage reduction to 90% soon.”

Even tank-class warriors with full defensive builds couldn’t achieve 90% in both defenses—yet Qin Feng’s Soul Devourer Bloodline and Infinite Evolution Talent allowed him to bypass such limitations, steadily eliminating all weaknesses.

—-

Continuing through the ruins, Qin Feng descended further, using the dim white light from the eerie bones to guide his way. After hours of slaughter, he reached the twelfth and final floor.

Here, a dark chasm loomed before him.

This was the pathway to the mysterious lower region beneath the skull—where the unknown body of the massive creature lay. Entering this area required reaching Level 20 and was critical for acquiring a flying mount.

For now, Qin Feng held off on entering.

After hours of killing thousands of monsters, his experience bar was maxed out.

“Time for my third class advancement!”

—-

[Your Shadow class has advanced!]

[Current Tier: Second → Third.]

[Class Attribute Bonuses: Strength 27 → 54, Constitution 27 → 54, Agility 72 → 144, Mental 45 → 90.]

[New Passive Skill 5: Shadow Arc.]

Shadow Arc Effect: While in stealth, being attacked will not immediately reveal your presence or inflict damage. All damage, debuffs, and stealth break effects are delayed by 1 second (does not apply to superior prefixes).

Note 1: Recasting stealth cancels the delayed effects.

Note 2: Healing, life drain, or shields can negate the delayed damage.

Note 3: Dispel or cleanse effects can remove delayed debuffs.

—-

“?”

Qin Feng stared at the panel, dumbfounded.

“Shadow Arc… This is borderline invincibility!”
