GTA Chapter 153

This entry is part 154 of 236 in the series Online Game: God Tier Assasin, I am The Shadow!

Boom! Boom!

High above, the twisted, bisected corpses of the flying bosses crashed down, slamming into the ruins within the town’s safe zone.

Several players were struck by the falling chunks of boss remains. Thankfully, since it was a safe zone, no harm came to them, even when hit by debris.

Still, most of these players were middle-aged or elderly and were terrified out of their wits. Some managed to crawl out from under the corpse fragments, while others could only wave an arm from beneath the remains, weakly calling for help.

As screams and panic filled the air, a massive, pale figure—over twenty meters wide—descended from the sky, gliding toward the town.

The streamlined, skeletal form with outstretched bone wings was an awe-inspiring sight, evoking an indescribable impact on the hearts of those who witnessed it.

It wasn’t just the middle-aged and elderly players who were stunned.

Even the official players sent to support the town were frozen in place, overwhelmed.

“This is insane—so cool!”

Many couldn’t help but cry out in amazement.

It was none other than Osirio, King of Bone Wyverns. Its eerie, green-glowing eyes surveyed the town from above as it descended like a fighter jet, carrying Qin Feng. The colossal wyvern landed in the town square, creating a gust of wind that pushed surrounding players back by 10 to 20 meters.

Osirio folded its wings, its skeletal claws gripping the ground like pale steel.

Only then did the onlookers notice the figure on the massive creature’s back.

“Oh my god, it’s Shadow! It’s really Shadow!”

“Shadow took action! Is that his mount? So freaking cool!”

“Holy crap, I’m losing it!”

“Did no one notice that he just one-shotted all five bosses by himself?”

“I heard he can insta-kill platinum-level bosses. It’s no big deal for him to wipe out a few golden-level bosses, right?”

Qin Feng dismounted from Osirio, casually stowing the Ancient God Tablet he had snatched from the sky into his storage pack.

His dark veil obscured his face, while the Bone Spike and Wavebreaker Blade hung at his waist. His entire outfit screamed high-tier elite. In stark contrast, even the “expert” players sent by the officials seemed like beginners next to him.

As Qin Feng moved, each step seemed to make the players around him hold their breath.

He found the reaction a bit ridiculous.

Without Osirio, even if he had shown up, it wouldn’t have had this kind of overwhelming effect. It was a reminder of how much humans are influenced by visuals.

After securing the Ancient God Tablet, Qin Feng approached the group of official players.

Among them was the mage girl, Bionic Electronic Fox.

Qin Feng said: “The bone wyverns surrounding the town are my summons. They can protect the town. You can inform everyone not to worry.”

Hearing this, the girl’s face flushed red with excitement, and she nodded repeatedly. “Got it, got it!”

Then, Qin Feng turned and walked toward the fallen boss corpses scattered throughout the town.

These represented valuable evolution points and platinum-tier loot—something Qin Feng would never leave behind.

As he walked away, his imposing figure left even the self-proclaimed elite youth among the officials staring in awe. The admiration in their eyes was undeniable.

As for the other players, particularly the women, many gazed at him with literal heart-shaped eyes.

After the initial shock wore off, the players in the town began to process what had just happened.

The airborne bosses had been dealt with by Shadow.

While this spectacle left a strong impression on the middle-aged and elderly players, most of them didn’t fully grasp its significance. Some even thought, “Shadow is only powerful because of his level. Once we level up, we’ll be just as strong.”

Their priority was clear: gather enough lifespan to survive and eventually catch up.

With the bosses eliminated, these players quickly became restless.

Many formed parties and rushed out of the town, eager to hunt monsters and farm lifespan. After being stuck in the safe zone for hours, they assumed the outside was now teeming with respawned monsters.

Initially, some were hesitant, worried about the bone wyverns circling outside the town.

But hadn’t Shadow just said they were summoned to protect them?

“Hold it right there!”

A female player, about 1.72 meters tall and sturdily built, blocked the way of a group of older players. Her imposing stance and aggressive tone belied her doll-like, youthful face, which somewhat softened her intimidation.

“Weren’t you just badmouthing Shadow? And now that he’s killed the bosses, you want to reap the benefits? Shameless!”

The curly-haired woman, Happy Ying Ying, snapped: “Get lost! Who was badmouthing Shadow? Which ear of yours heard that nonsense?”

Beside her, an elderly man wielding a staff, Life’s Big Stage, Golden Years Ahead, scowled menacingly. “Don’t go around accusing people. Watch yourself, or I’ll sue you for defamation!”

Compared to the young woman, these middle-aged and elderly players were far more aggressive, resembling shoppers storming a store on discount day. To them, anyone blocking their way was an enemy.

Faced with their hostility, the young woman was left frustrated.

She muttered: “If only this game had a video recording function…”

“Not only could I record evidence against these jerks…”

“I could also capture Shadow’s epic entrance…”

What she didn’t realize was that such a feature did exist. Certain Divine Authority Towers sold “Divine Record Crystals” that allowed players to record scenes in the game by spending lifespan. However, these items were single-use and far less convenient than modern technology.

Moreover, accessing a Divine Authority Tower required overcoming challenging trials and reputation requirements—privileges not easily earned.

As the young woman fumed, a series of screams erupted from outside the town.

“Ahhh!”

“Don’t kill me!”

“Didn’t they say these monsters were here to protect us?!”

The young woman looked up, only to see an astonishing sight: the very players who had just run out of the town were being slaughtered by the bone wyverns. Green-glowing bone spikes rained down, instantly killing them.

Happy Ying Ying, Life’s Big Stage, Golden Years Ahead, and several others who had badmouthed Shadow were reduced to white light, resurrecting back in the town square.

The scene stunned not only the victims but everyone else watching.

What… just happened?
