- Online Game : God Level Assasin, I am The Shadow!
- GTA Chapter 158
“Excellent, Amos, your construction skills are becoming more refined!”
With a cigarette dangling from his lips, Theodore clapped his hands and smiled with satisfaction.
“Now, all we need to do is lure Shadow and the Daxia officials inside to fight the boss. Once they’re in, we’ll construct stone walls to seal off the passage. They won’t be able to escape!”
“Each of these three walls has a durability of four to five million. By the time they break through, the boss will have killed them all!”
“To keep things convincing, Zuma will accompany them and join the fight. Once the battle begins, Zuma will activate his soul state to phase through the volcanic walls and bring us out safely.”
“As for them… they’ll be trapped inside, relishing the nightmare!”
The blonde, freckled girl Fury, chewing bubble gum, laughed as she blew a bubble and said, “I can’t wait for flights back home to resume. Watching Shadow get killed and stuck in a nightmare will be chef’s kiss perfection.”
Iron Fist Amos, however, shook his head and said, “Three walls might not be enough. Shadow’s damage output is too high… better build ten walls to make sure he’s stuck for good.”
Theodore nodded. “You’re right, brother. I’ll provide you with extra lifespan for the job. Once we’re on the plane, we’ll put the plan into action. Oh, by the way, I’ve got a platinum-level boss location. I’ll sell it to the officials first to lower their guard!”
Two Hours Later, Jianghai City Ruins
Osirio descended from the sky, carrying Qin Feng, An Yu, and Lin Liyu, landing dramatically in the plaza outside the Sanctuary of the Church Hideout.
The majestic, bone-chilling wyvern immediately drew the attention of thousands of onlookers.
“Whoa… this is insane!”
An Yu and Lin Liyu were still in shock.
In just two hours, Qin Feng had flown them thousands of kilometers, leaving their hearts racing and their minds numb.
“My rhino mount feels so lame now.”
“My goat mount isn’t even worth looking at anymore, ugh.”
Neither woman wanted to leave Osirio’s back, though it was unclear if they were more reluctant to part with the wyvern or with Qin Feng himself…
Regardless, their journey had come to an end.
Throughout the trip, Qin Feng had effortlessly one-shot every boss they encountered, leaving the two women to simply collect the basic loot that dropped.
The only challenging encounter had been with an emerald-level boss: Demon Blade Swordsman, Jinema, a monster with an incredibly high evasion rate.
One official squad, after getting too close, attempted to fight it and unleashed over ten skills—only one of which landed.
Even Qin Feng, with his Sharp Eye buff from his veil, managed only a 50% hit rate. Without the buff, his accuracy would have dropped to less than 33%.
Fortunately, Qin Feng’s cooldowns were fast enough to outlast the boss, eventually killing it in three minutes. The boss dropped an emerald-level single-handed longsword, which brought An Yu to tears.
Her current silver longsword had been with her for so long that she hadn’t even seen a gold-tier upgrade, let alone emerald. Though the new sword required Level 15 to equip, its relatively low requirement was a blessing since most emerald gear required Level 17 or higher.
After safely dropping the two women off at the sanctuary, Qin Feng turned to leave.
Lin Liyu waved reluctantly. “Bye-bye, Oreo!”
Osirio let out a cold, condescending chuckle, too proud to respond.
For the wyvern, which had once destroyed a city and slaughtered millions, humans other than Qin Feng were no different from ants.
Shortly after, Qin Feng and Osirio took to the skies again.
Sensing that Osirio seemed a bit down, Qin Feng asked, “What’s with you?”
Osirio sighed. “It’s nothing.”
Qin Feng shrugged. “Fine, don’t tell me.”
Osirio quickly caved, “Wait! Don’t leave me hanging. Those two girls’ looks of admiration reminded me of my queen… Once, her gaze upon me was filled with the same reverence. I was her sun, and the love in her eyes was burning and fervent…”
Qin Feng smirked. “Want me to find you a few female dragons?”
Osirio immediately perked up. “666! You’re the best!”
The wyvern’s mood instantly lifted as they soared toward the Magic Capital Ruins.
Back in the ruins, Qin Feng first returned to Spectral Academy to stash his newly acquired loot before contacting the local official, Wan Ye Weiyu.
The poised and skilled huntress had been waiting at the academy to accompany Qin Feng on a new mission. The Magic Capital had recently identified seven or eight bosses, including one emerald-tier.
Before setting out, Qin Feng used Buffitch’s Equivalent Exchange Protocol to transform resources into a diamond-tier ring, swapping out his Damp Ring.
—-
[Ring of Soul’s Eye (Diamond)]
Universal ring for all classes.
-Spirit +88
-Spirit +55
-Spirit +22
Requirement: Level 17
Special: Untouchable +14.4
Unique Effect: +168% Control Strength
—-
The ring’s unique effect, +168% control strength, wasn’t particularly useful to Qin Feng. Against players, he simply one-shot them. Against bosses, most control effects were ineffective.
However, the Untouchable affix was invaluable, nullifying all ordinary control effects. While Qin Feng hadn’t encountered a control-heavy boss yet, such protection could be critical in the future.
Additionally, the total spirit bonus of 165 points provided over 800 elemental attack power, making this single ring equivalent to the entire gear set of most magic-oriented players.
Looking at his 977 evolution points, Qin Feng remarked,
“Boss farming for evolution points is insanely efficient. At this rate, I’ll hit 3,400 points and upgrade Greedy Hand to mythic tier in no time.”
With his plan in mind, he set out with Wan Ye Weiyu to hunt the newly discovered bosses.
Simultaneously, he messaged Old Zhang, offering the Skysong Guild and the officials identical terms: Qin Feng would hunt platinum-tier or higher bosses, taking only the lifespan and assassin gear as payment.
Meanwhile, in Jianghai City
Gui Ling, Blade of the Underworld, arrived at a high-end residential complex.
After dealing with the Butcher and Ma Nailing, she’d stayed in Jianghai, grinding in monster-dense areas as per Qin Feng’s advice.
Today, she had a new task from Shadow: Find Feng Shaoying.
A quick search of online news articles led her to Feng Shaoying’s neighborhood.
Feng Shaoying, aka Happy Ying Ying, the curly-haired middle-aged woman who had been killed twice by Qin Feng, hadn’t stayed quiet after leaving the game.
As An Yu had predicted, Feng Shaoying began stirring controversy, accusing Shadow of unjustified murder. With no evidence to refute her claims, she played the victim, tearfully denouncing Shadow’s actions as an assault on a defenseless elder.
Even after officials contacted her to edit or remove her posts, she refused and escalated, accusing the authorities of colluding with Shadow.
Though her posts were eventually moderated, they had already sparked considerable debate.
Her demands were simple: pressure the officials to compensate her for the two deaths Shadow had inflicted.
For someone like this, Qin Feng had a straightforward solution: physical elimination.
As Gui Ling approached the residential complex, she heard the sounds of a heated argument and loud barking echoing from within.
“Woof! Woof! Woof!”
The vicious growls of a large dog rang out.
Recalling Shadow’s notes on Feng Shaoying, Gui Ling wasn’t surprised: the woman owned a large dog and often walked it off-leash. One incident had caused a child to tumble down the stairs, resulting in a concussion.
Approaching quietly, Gui Ling could hear the argument upstairs—presumably the child’s parents confronting Feng Shaoying.
“What? Your kid fell down the stairs? That’s his fault for having an undeveloped brain! What does it have to do with my precious baby?”
“Oh, you think being a mage makes you special? My son’s an anti-mage! Get out, or I’ll have my son hunt you down in the game!”
It was the same venomous tone, the same lethal street-brawling insults.
What Feng Shaoying didn’t realize was that Gui Ling, embodying the aura of the underworld, had already arrived at her door.
