GTA Chapter 162

This entry is part 163 of 236 in the series Online Game: God Tier Assasin, I am The Shadow!

Just as Qin Feng received news about the “Nightmare Hellflower,” Theodore and his squad were already stationed near the volcano, lying in wait.

In the real world, they had just boarded a Colombia Airlines flight. To ensure their plan’s secrecy, they only informed the officials in Modu about the boss after the plane had taken off.

Amos “Iron Fist,” a lanky, pale sailor, sat casually on a large rock nearby with a sly grin on his face.

“Theodore, boss, I can hold the position here alone. Once you lure those Daxia dogs into the volcano, I’ll wait three minutes and build a stone wall to block off the passage!”

Amos flipped through his Divine Crafting Grimoire, a construction-type artifact he had mastered recently.

It allowed him to consume lifespan to build stone walls.

He could also dismantle walls he had just built, recovering 90% of the lifespan consumed.

Both constructing and dismantling required precise terrain-based adjustments, but Amos had practiced these techniques to perfection.

Theodore, cigarette between his lips, wore a confident smirk. This middle-aged man seemed entirely in control of the situation.

“Don’t stress; this is a cakewalk. The Modu official, surnamed Sun, replied and said the Shadow will be joining the official team for this raid.”

“They’re bringing ten squads, a total of sixty people, to challenge the Diamond-tier boss together.”

“Maybe they think they can handle this boss like any other, probing and whittling it down bit by bit… but they have no idea that once the fight starts, the entire volcano will fall under the ‘Nightmare’ domain!”

“Once we block their retreat, they’ll quickly fall into a nightmare state. One by one, they’ll be strung up by the Nightmare Hellflower, which will drain all of their tradeable lifespan!”

“From what I’ve gathered, the Modu team has burned through most of their non-tradeable lifespan during recent boss raids.”

“Once trapped in the nightmare and strung up by the boss, within the nightmare zone’s time dilation of 10,000x, they’ll have no way out but death!”

“These are Modu’s finest elite squads.”

“Their loss would be a massive blow to Daxia as a whole.”

“Especially the Shadow…”

“If this person rises to power, he’ll pose an enormous threat to us in North America. We have to seize this chance to kill him.”

“If we succeed, we’ll be heroes across all of North America!”

The squad grew more pumped with Theodore’s words.

Zuma, the Soul Walker, a dark-skinned young man, chuckled. “I just want to know how much of a bounty the North American officials will offer if we manage to kill Shadow.”

Theodore took a drag from his cigarette and clapped Zuma on the shoulder. “Relax. If we take out Shadow, you’ll never have to worry about money for the rest of your life. And after this is over, I can finally go home to see my wife and kids.”

Fury, a short-haired blonde girl, frowned slightly.

She spat out her bubblegum and snorted. “Uncle, you’re not going to forget about me when you see your wife, are you?”

Theodore burst into laughter. “How could I? Little Fury, you’ll always be my teammate, my partner, my… love.”

Fury smiled faintly, toying with her platinum-tier musket. While she seemed indifferent, her mind was elsewhere—planning how to discreetly eliminate Theodore’s wife with a single bullet once they returned.

Meanwhile, on Qin Feng’s end…

He first explained the situation to Late Night Light Rain and privately devised a plan with her. Only then did he prepare to meet up with the 58 other official players.

The reason for joining such a large group…

…was that the Diamond-tier Nightmare Hellflower had certain mechanics that made it nearly impossible to solo at Qin Feng’s current state.

Mainly, his gear wasn’t up to par yet.

His Nightmare Resistance stat was insufficient.

Some of the boss’s skills, which stacked Nightmare debuffs, required more people to share the burden.

As Qin Feng carried Late Night Light Rain on his mount to meet the group, he reviewed the improvements in his key skills.

In addition, the level increase of Dual Blade Mastery improved the attributes of both his daggers by 3.5%.

The enhancement of From the Depths of Darkness increased his bonus Hidden Attack damage per level of stealth from 300 to 335 points.

Though each individual skill upgrade might seem minor…

Combined, they created a significant qualitative improvement!

Qin Feng glanced at his backpack.

With the Greedy Space expanded to 570 slots, he didn’t have to worry about running out of space anymore.

Currently, it held six Diamond-tier pieces of equipment and seven Diamond-tier skill books, all for various classes.

The ten-into-one synthesis ability of Greedy Hand only works on similar items.

For now, I can’t synthesize anything new.

“But…”

Qin Feng noticed a loophole.

Items synthesized using ten-into-one couldn’t be re-synthesized, but what about items transformed through Equivalent Exchange?

He opened the synthesis interface.

Then, he attempted to place Apostle of the Witch: Livia’s Tear into the synthesis slot.

To his surprise…

It actually worked! It could be used for ten-into-one synthesis!

“Impressive!”

Even Qin Feng was taken aback.

By exploiting this bug, he could mass-produce Legendary-tier gear and skill books!

Unfortunately, Bafitch’s Equivalent Exchange Protocol only worked on items no higher than Epic-tier.

This meant that after synthesizing Legendary-tier gear or skill books, the bug could no longer be utilized.

Moreover, the Equivalent Exchange effect had a fixed one-hour cooldown, making frequent transformations impossible.

“If there were no cooldown, I’d truly be invincible.”

“Alright, a little bug abuse isn’t cheating.”

Qin Feng chuckled as he closed the Greedy Space interface.

He rode his mount, Osirio, carrying the Demon Hunter Late Night Light Rain in stealth mode, and quickly arrived at a scorched plain outside the ruins of Modu.

Here, 58 top-tier players from the Modu ruins were gathered, waiting for Qin Feng and Late Night Light Rain.

To be precise, 57 top-tier players.

The remaining person was a bespectacled official surnamed Sun, acting as an “operations advisor” tasked with coordinating with Theodore’s team.

This guy’s combat ability was… lackluster.

“In fact, Shadow has already killed Theodore and his team before.”

“But these international friends are so magnanimous, they’ve let bygones be bygones. They even shared the boss’s location with us!”

“Once we take down the boss, I suggest we set aside some of the loot to give to them as a gesture of goodwill from the nation of etiquette!”

???

Qin Feng had just landed and overheard this from the Sun official.

Magnanimous?

Let bygones be bygones?

Seriously?

They’re plotting your annihilation, and you’re over here showcasing national etiquette?
