- Online Game : God Level Assasin, I am The Shadow!
- GTA Chapter 165
As the players reeled from the sudden chaos, Qin Feng didn’t spare a glance at Sun Xing. He leaped straight off the platform.
He had countless ways to deal with Sun Xing later. For now, the priority was simple: kill the boss.
“This Diamond-tier boss has a total of 36 million HP.”
“Its weak points are the fiery red eyes on each petal… Actually, never mind—its entire body is a weak point.”
“The mechanics are divided into three phases.”
“Each phase comes with 12 million HP.”
Moreover, this Diamond-tier boss had a damage reduction of 70-80%, significantly higher than Emerald-tier bosses.
“Good.”
“Only a boss this tanky is worthy of testing my full strength.”
Cloaked in darkness, Qin Feng plunged toward the massive fiery-red flower.
Shadow of Slaughter!
Mercy Execution!
Shadow Slash!

-48,000 (Weak Point Hit)!
-49,000 (Weak Point Hit)!
-48,000 (Weak Point Hit)!
—-
In an instant, 36 damage numbers floated above the flower, totaling approximately 1.75 million damage.
One second later:
Throat Cut activated.
—
-185,000!
-187,000!
-186,000!
—
The 380% damage multiplier from Throat Cut resulted in a staggering 6.5 million damage burst.
Within seconds, the Nightmare Hellflower’s health plummeted.
Its surrounding fiery-red tendrils lashed out from the magma, sweeping across the area. Anything hit by the flaming, barbed tendrils would be immobilized for a duration. If a player died, the tendrils would hoist the corpse up and drain all tradeable lifespan.
Simultaneously, magma missiles erupted from the surrounding lava rivers, flying chaotically throughout the arena.
Even Qin Feng couldn’t dodge all of them.
Luckily, his Blacklight Shield absorbed the impacts, nullifying the magma projectiles.
Another second passed, triggering Throat Cut again.
The boss’s health dropped to two-thirds, forcing it into a golden shielded state. The HP bar turned golden, indicating temporary invincibility.
Hissssss—
The Nightmare Hellflower’s core spewed lava, raising the arena’s temperature drastically.
From the flower’s center emerged a fiery female figure—the Nightmare Hellflower’s true form—radiating pure rage.
Her upper body, seven to eight meters tall, was entirely crimson. Her alluring figure was in stark contrast to her terrifying presence, with molten lava flowing from her eyes and her arms transforming into writhing tendrils, flailing wildly in the air.
From these tendrils erupted hundreds of black-and-red orbs of light.
“Nightmare Wisps!”
“These are condensed Nightmare Energy entities!”
“Since they’re tied to a high-tier affix, they can track every player—stealth is ineffective.”
Each Nightmare Wisp caused no damage but increased the player’s Nightmare Meter upon contact. This mechanic, even Qin Feng found challenging.
Three to four hundred wisps materialized, swarming the arena and homing in on the players.
The wisps were relatively slow but relentless. If each player got hit by even seven or eight, their Nightmare Meters would instantly hit 100%, plunging them into a nightmare state.
Fortunately, there was a solution to this.
“Use the ‘passing’ mechanic.”
In his previous life, Daxia officials had spent over two weeks studying this boss and ultimately defeated it—but only after incurring heavy losses.
The successful raid had occurred two months after Theodore’s infamous incident. By then, the team’s tanks had accumulated significant Nightmare Resistance to withstand the mechanic, and even so, they’d needed to rotate tanks multiple times.
Directly tanking the Nightmare Wisps was impossible.
“At this phase, a Nightmare Tree will spawn randomly in the arena.”
“Attacking the tree will produce Nightmare Fruits.”
“These fruits attract the Nightmare Wisps, diverting them from players.”
When the wisps began filling the volcanic chamber, Late Night Light Rain and the others were visibly confused.
“What… is that?”
“See that tree over there? Attack it!” Qin Feng instructed through the team channel, marking a newly spawned black tree with his deputy leader privileges.
The players immediately turned their attention to the marked tree.
Ranged classes unleashed a barrage of skills—arrows, magic missiles, blizzards—until the Nightmare Tree produced a basketball-sized Nightmare Fruit.
Qin Feng dashed over, grabbing the fruit.
Instantly, the swarming wisps veered toward him.
“Spread out and maintain distance! Pass the fruit between players, but don’t let the wisps touch it!” Qin Feng shouted.
Without waiting for further explanation, the team sprang into action. These were Modu’s elite players—disciplined, quick to adapt, and highly skilled.
They scattered around the arena.
Qin Feng hurled the fruit to a knight over 100 meters away, redirecting the swarm of wisps.
“If a wisp touches the fruit, it’ll split into two. But if a wisp touches a player, their Nightmare Meter increases by 10%.”
“We must keep the fruit away from the wisps while kiting them across the arena.”
Hearing Qin Feng’s explanation, the players’ expressions grew tense.
With 300+ wisps flying overhead, a single mistake could doom the entire team.
“Pass!”
“Got it!”
“Good throw!”
“I’ve caught it!”
The fruit was passed from player to player like a deadly game of hot potato.
Soon, it landed in Late Night Light Rain’s hands.
The wisps, their speed increasing, began converging on her.
At that moment, Sun Xing, who had returned after realizing the exit was blocked, emerged from the passageway, looking desperate.
His Nightmare Meter was steadily rising.
Seeking help, he stepped out of the passage.
Late Night Light Rain spotted him and, her temper flaring, shouted:
“Catch this!”
She hurled the fruit in Sun Xing’s direction—but deliberately aimed slightly off-target.
Having been kicked from the team, Sun Xing hadn’t heard Qin Feng’s explanation.
Seeing the dark object flying toward him, he instinctively tried to dodge.
“What the hell is that?!”
The fruit grazed past him, landing in the passage behind him.
The swarm of wisps, now moving at high speed, surged toward Sun Xing, who stood in their path.
The black-and-red orbs overwhelmed him like a tidal wave, pouring into his body.
—-
Nightmare Meter: 66% → 76% → 86% → 96% → 106% →…
—-
In an instant, Sun Xing collapsed into a nightmare state. His body convulsed violently as he lost all control, his face twisting in terror as he screamed incoherently:
“Ahhhh! My intestines! My intestines!”
Sun Xing staggered backward into the magma pit below, landing directly in a molten river.
The extreme heat killed him instantly.
Splatter!
A fiery tendril emerged from the lava, pierced his head, and hoisted him into the air.
In one gulp, the tendril drained every last bit of his tradeable lifespan.
With the wisps absorbed into Sun Xing, the boss’s invincibility ended.
“We can start bursting down the boss now,” Qin Feng said calmly. “Next phase, we’ll skip it with burst damage—there’s no way a team this under-leveled could survive otherwise.”
His focus returned to the boss. Precision would be key to dealing enough damage to skip the next phase entirely.
As for Theodore and his team?
They might think they’d escaped safely.
But they couldn’t fathom how fast Qin Feng could clear this Diamond-tier boss.
Once the boss was down… it would be the beginning of their end.
Boarding a plane to escape?
As if you’re the only ones who can fly.
