Chapter 190: The Blessing of Judgment Authority and the Judgment of the Gods!
(Author Note: The following three chapters introduce ‘Judgment Authority’ and ‘Ancient God Language.’ If you’re not interested or find it hard to understand, feel free to skip ahead without losing track of the main story.)
It was an ancient-looking parchment made from sheepskin.
Qin Feng took it from the treasure chest and noticed that it was densely covered with characters in the Great Xia language.
“Is this a manual specifically prepared for me?”
Qin Feng glanced over it.
Soon, his brow furrowed.
The sheepskin contained a simple explanation about how to use the ‘Judgment Authority.’
It explained that the use of this authority was not limited to just the Judgment Authority, but also affected all forms of power in the universe… all of it subject to a kind of [Broad Limitation]!
The Broad Limitation can be understood as an overarching restriction: The authority has a universal scope, affecting all dimensions, time periods, and spaces in the universe.
“This is on another level?”
Qin Feng was shocked.
For example:
If he were to use the Judgment Authority on ‘Qin Xiaoyou,’ the authority would target all beings in the universe named ‘Qin Xiaoyou.’
How many ‘Qin Xiaoyous’ are there in the universe?
Not just within Blue Star (Earth), but across other civilizations, any lifeform whose name sounds like ‘Qin Xiaoyou’ would also be targeted.
Even the Qin Xiaoyou from one second ago, two seconds ago, or even the one from the future…
It would be impossible to pinpoint just one ‘Qin Xiaoyou’ for judgment!
Another example:
If Qin Feng were to use the Judgment Authority on ‘the person in front of me’—then the authority would target anyone in front of him, whether they were one kilometer away, one hundred kilometers, or even someone at the farthest reaches of the universe.
It could even include people who were in front of him at different times.
If someone had been in front of him a day ago, but not now, they would still fall under the scope of judgment!
This was because…
The Judgment Authority was one of the oldest and most profound powers in the universe, and once activated, it would target the entire universe—an overwhelming and terrifying force!
This is what the Ancient Gods had defined as the Broad Limitation shared by all powers in the universe!
Because of this, before using the authority, one must first [Anchor] the target for judgment.
For example, for the term ‘Qin Xiaoyou,’ a prefix would be added.
“The Qin Xiaoyou on Earth, from the present time.”
By setting conditions such as time, location, and other specifics, one could then pinpoint the exact Qin Xiaoyou to be judged.
But the key issue was…
Every additional ‘prefix’ or condition added would cause the authority to filter across the entire universe, increasing the consumption of divine energy exponentially.
For instance, using a vague concept like ‘Earth’ could lead to issues. If someone mistakenly referred to the Moon as ‘Earth,’ the Moon would also fall under the scope of the authority during its activation!
Ultimately, the term ‘Earth’ is just a name given by most humans on Blue Star, and it couldn’t precisely define a particular spatial region in the universe.
So, if we take the three conditions—‘Earth,’ ‘Qin Xiaoyou,’ and ‘present time’—to narrow down the target…
In the universe, if there are 100 ‘Earths’ and 100 ‘Qin Xiaoyous,’ the judgment would require the consumption of ten thousand times the usual divine energy.
Add in the concept of ‘present time,’ a vague notion defined by Blue Star humans, and the divine energy required for activation would be astronomical!
It was no wonder Qin Feng realized that without sufficient divine energy, it would be impossible to conduct such a judgment.
“This is why the Judgment Blade and Judgment Realm exist…”
“These are the tools that make it easier for me to target specific individuals or groups for judgment.”
“The Judgment Realm is also known as the [Anchor Point]!”
From the manual on the sheepskin, Qin Feng learned that the ‘Judgment Realm’ was a place of absolute stillness in both space and time, unique across the entire universe and all timelines.
This made it possible to directly set a condition—‘Located in the Judgment Realm’—and successfully lock in the judgment target.
Essentially, the Judgment Blade functioned as a ‘remote control’ for the Judgment Authority.
To put it in simple terms, if the Judgment Authority were an air conditioner, you wouldn’t need to learn how to use it yourself; you’d just use the remote control.
With the Judgment Blade, Qin Feng could easily and quickly invoke the Judgment Authority!
“Now I get it.”
“This Judgment Realm ‘challenge’ was essentially a demonstration on how to anchor a judgment target.”
“If I were to judge Qin Xiaoyou this time…”
“First, pull her into the Judgment Realm and add the prefix ‘located in the Judgment Realm.'”
“Second, create a small game, add the prefix ‘participating in this event.'”
“Third, add the suffix ‘defined as a fugitive in this event.’”
In this process, the Judgment Realm had a unique quality.
The term ‘this event’ specifically referred to the ‘game held in the Judgment Realm where 20 people are fugitives, 80 are hunters, and 99 are just illusions.’
Since the Judgment Realm was unique, so too was ‘this event.’
The suffix ‘defined as a fugitive in this event’ would then single out Qin Xiaoyou as the real fugitive among the 20.
Thanks to the uniqueness of these three conditions, the consumption of divine energy for invoking the Judgment Authority was minimal!
“To sum up, labels like ‘Qin Xiaoyou’ cannot be used for judgment.”
“Because such terms lack uniqueness… as soon as the authority targets all ‘Qin Xiaoyous’ in the universe, it will burn through an enormous amount of divine energy!”
“At its core, this is a logic game.”
“It’s like…”
“Code!”
From another perspective, the universe already operates on certain principles, and the ‘Judgment Authority’ is an application of these primordial rules, which naturally also follow their own set of laws.
It’s like handing someone a nuclear bomb. You can’t just speak and expect it to go off—you have to learn the controls and how to aim it.
Even if Qin Feng possesses the Judgment Authority, it still requires skill and precision to use. Especially to conserve divine energy, one must be very strategic.
Using the Judgment Blade, pulling people into the Judgment Realm, designing mini-games, defining participants as hunters or fugitives—all these steps exist to reduce the divine energy required to activate the Judgment Authority!
“But looking at it from another angle…”
“The need for all these methods to anchor a target is mainly due to a lack of divine energy.”
“If I had enough divine energy, I could start a judgment anytime, anywhere, on anyone—even an entire civilization, or on all lifeforms in the universe!”
“That is the power of the Ancient Gods’ authority!”
What truly made Qin Feng realize how deep this ‘authority’ ran was…
All of the things he had learned were just about anchoring the target for judgment.
There were still even more complicated aspects to it, such as:
What the content and outcome of the judgment would be!
“In theory, once I master the Judgment Authority, I can judge anyone at any time, in any place!”
“And the essence of judgment is to consume divine energy and ‘settle’ the target’s actions!”
“There are two types of settlements: punishment and blessing…”
By punishing sinners, Qin Feng could harvest some energy and increase the Judgment Blade’s divine energy limit and base attributes!
To bestow a blessing, divine energy was required…
What stunned Qin Feng even more was:
**”My rebirth, my primal-level talent—**Infinite Evolution—was a result of the ‘Blessing Judgment’ from the Judgment Authority!”
If he fully mastered the Judgment Authority, he could use divine energy to grant himself various ‘cheats,’ with the Infinite Evolution being just one of them!
“So… is this the true definition of a god?”
“What if I were to give myself ten, a hundred, or even more primal-level talents? How would anyone be able to handle that?!”
After learning all this, Qin Feng’s scalp tingled!
“Harvesting divine energy by judging sinners, then using it to grant myself power-ups—so this is the ultimate power of the Judgment Authority?”
“But here’s the real question…”
“How did the Ancient God who wielded this power end up falling?”
This was an unsettling thought.
But it was clear.
Qin Feng wasn’t in any position to worry about that level of detail.
Even mastering the Judgment Authority was an incredibly difficult task.
Adding power-ups to himself?
How would he do it?
What kind of power-ups?
All these questions involved much deeper cosmic principles!
Qin Feng looked down at the sheepskin in his hands.
—
[The essence of the universe follows the principles of ‘energy conservation’ and ‘equivalent exchange’ to a certain extent, and the Blessing Judgment is no exception…]
—
“To a certain extent”? Are there exceptions?”
Right now, Qin Feng had no way of understanding that.
But he knew that both his rebirth and his primal-level talent Infinite Evolution didn’t come out of nowhere—they were the results of the Judgment Authority’s ‘Blessing Judgment,’ calculated through complex cosmic computations.
The conditions, processes, and energy consumption… Qin Feng had no idea.
“But right now, I don’t need to know all that.”
“I only need to know that I can kill people, pull them into the Judgment Realm, and judge them to increase the Judgment Blade’s divine energy limit and attributes!”
As he gradually gained more understanding of the Judgment Authority, Qin Feng could take his time.
Qin Feng sheathed the Judgment Blade, switching out his Diamond-level equipment, the ‘Bone Spike.’
He now dual-wielded the Tyron III Maker – Star Slayer Blade and the Judgment Blade!
“The Judgment Blade… in some ways, this is my signature weapon, right?”
“Next, I just need to keep stacking its divine energy limit and base attributes!”
Divine energy, as Qin Feng knew from his past life, was like the ‘mana’ or ‘health bar’ of a god.
Naturally, the higher, the better!
However…
Qin Feng thought of the recently slain Qin Xiaoyou and glanced at the spot where she had fallen.
“Has she already been judged?”
“It doesn’t seem like it…?”
