GTA Chapter 28

This entry is part 29 of 236 in the series Online Game: God Tier Assasin, I am The Shadow!

Originally, Lin Liyu had thought that if Qin Feng could give her a silver-tier magic item or skill book, she’d be more than satisfied.

But to her surprise…

**Two golden-tier items?**

“This skill… this necklace…”

“My damage will instantly increase several times over, and my mana regeneration has more than doubled!”

Previously, Lin Liyu’s mana regeneration was 2 points per second.

Now, with the necklace equipped, it was 5 points per second.

Her sustain had skyrocketed!

At this point, her efficiency in farming monsters would far surpass that of her entire team combined!

“Thank you so much, big brother!” Lin Liyu’s eyes were filled with excitement, almost moved to tears.

Qin Feng shook his head. “No need to thank me; it’s just as we agreed. Now, hand me the **Space Ring**.”

After all, this girl had been chased by Iron Man’s crew while trying to help Qin Feng…

Even though he didn’t actually need her help.

But Qin Feng could tell she had a good personality, someone worth befriending.

Hearing Qin Feng’s words, Lin Liyu snapped out of her daze, her face slightly flushed as she quickly handed him the 12-slot **Space Ring**.

“By the way, big brother,” Lin Liyu said after thinking for a moment, “While I was running through the forest, I found an underground hole. It looked like the entrance to some kind of ruin. Are you interested?”

**A ruin entrance?**

Qin Feng was a little surprised.

“There’s a saying going around that Lin Liyu is a ‘lucky charm,’ and now it seems like it might be true.”

“First the **Golden Ghost Ship**, and now a ruin entrance…”

Qin Feng glanced at the beautiful girl in front of him and thought, befriending her was turning out to be quite the benefit.

Of course.

Qin Feng reasoned that if he hadn’t given her any equipment earlier, she might not have told him about the ruin at all.

Trust, after all, goes both ways.

“So, just two golden-tier items were enough to win her over?” Qin Feng chuckled to himself.

He slipped the **Space Ring** onto the pinky of his left hand.

“Finally, I have 27 inventory slots.”

Qin Feng breathed a sigh of relief.

In **Godforsaken**, inventory space was incredibly scarce, and there was no place in the starting towns to store items.

With 27 slots now available, everything would be much more convenient.

Qin Feng said to Lin Liyu, “Your captain still isn’t online. I’ll sell the rest of the items to your team once he’s here. For now, I’ll head to the ruin you mentioned.”

The girl nodded eagerly, “Okay.”

Lin Liyu was practically bouncing with excitement.

She pulled out a rolled-up parchment map from her backpack and marked a location for Qin Feng.

“This is the entrance to the ruin. It’s a stone slab on the ground. I tried to move it and hide inside, but after walking just a few steps, I heard ghostly wails from within and got so scared that I ran out… That’s when Iron Man’s group caught up with me.”

As she spoke, Lin Liyu described the entrance in detail.

“Got it,” Qin Feng replied, mentally noting the location.

In fact, every starting town and its surrounding terrain were the same…

These beginner towns were essentially copies of each other.

However, ruins and bosses like the **Golden Ghost Ship** spawned randomly. Some towns had them, while others didn’t.

In his previous life, the town Qin Feng had started in didn’t have any such ruins.

Who would have thought that Shell Town would have both a ruin and a **Golden Ghost Ship**?

Bidding Lin Liyu farewell, Qin Feng activated his stealth ability and once again left Shell Town.

“I was originally planning to grind until level 10.”

“But with a ruin available, there’s no need to farm elsewhere. Clearing the ruin will definitely get me to level 10…”

There were three types of ruins that could appear in a starting town.

One was the **Tomb**.

Another was the **Cursed Ruins**.

The last was the **Temple of Faith**.

The **Tomb** was straightforward, filled with monsters, and difficult to clear, usually ending with a golden-tier boss.

The **Cursed Ruins** contained monsters that had been cursed by ancient or evil gods. They might have once been human, but after going mad or dying, they transformed into ghosts or abominations.

The **Temple of Faith** housed followers of ancient or evil gods. You could either kill them or leave them, but the temple itself had a highly complex layout.

If you managed to clear the last two, you could obtain special items or skill books.

For example…

Qin Feng’s **Eye of the Ancient God**, known as the **Judgment Eye**, actually came from a **Temple of Faith**.

No matter which type of ruin Lin Liyu had discovered, Qin Feng wasn’t going to miss it.

Because…

Even the basic monsters inside these ruins would be at least bronze-tier, possibly even silver-tier!

For Qin Feng, this meant a massive influx of evolution points!

“With my current **Epic Greedy Hand**, killing a bronze-tier mini-boss will give me 8 evolution points.”

“And a silver-tier boss will give me 16 points!”

Compared to killing high-tier bosses, farming a large number of mini-bosses yielded significantly more evolution points!

Before long, while still in stealth mode, Qin Feng arrived at the location Lin Liyu had marked on the map.

Among the gray-black weeds, he spotted a stone slab.

Qin Feng moved it aside, revealing a staircase leading downward.

As expected, as soon as the slab was removed, eerie wailing sounds echoed from the depths of the passage.

But Qin Feng wasn’t the least bit afraid.

He entered the passage and covered the slab back over.

The surrounding area instantly plunged into darkness, except for a faint, dim light ahead, illuminating the stone walls of the passage.

By the dim light, Qin Feng’s expression quickly changed.

“The carvings on these walls… they’re identical to the ones in the **Temple of Faith** from my previous life!”

“This is a **Temple of Faith**!”

“And it seems to be the **Temple of the Ancient God of Judgment**!”

Qin Feng carried the **Judgment Eye**, which granted him the power of judgment.

The appearance of this temple in the same location made Qin Feng feel… that something was unusual.

“Well, let’s take a look inside.”

Taking a deep breath, Qin Feng stayed in stealth as he ventured deeper into the passage.

At the same time, players in other starting towns were furiously grinding to level up.

Of course, none of them could compete with Qin Feng, who was gaining experience at an extraordinary rate inside the ruin.

However, given their lower levels, other players required less experience to level up.

Before long, some players reached level 5!

They activated their respective towns’ teleportation arrays!

Each player had one free teleport per day, allowing them to visit other starting towns.

As a result…

Very quickly, players from other towns began teleporting into Shell Town!

Because the god-like player who had achieved the world’s first golden-tier boss kill, **Shadow**, was in Shell Town!

The town was getting more and more crowded!
