GTA Chapter 38

This entry is part 39 of 236 in the series Online Game: God Tier Assasin, I am The Shadow!

Qin Feng took out Song Fei once again.

“This guy sure had a lot of lifespan on him…”

He did some quick calculations.

The first time he killed Song Fei, he gained over 1,000 days of lifespan.

The second time, he gained more than 500 days.

“So, this guy had over 2,000 days of lifespan in total!”

“But… why didn’t any of these girls have any lifespan at all? Did they give all of it to Song Fei?”

Qin Feng couldn’t help but feel a little speechless.

Did these girls really think that this “Abandoned God Game” was just a game?

Even if they knew this lifespan was real, Qin Feng suspected they would still give it all to Song Fei.

If they could, they’d probably even give up their own non-tradeable lifespan for him.

“Obsessed fans are terrifying,” Qin Feng thought, shaking his head.

As he gazed at the ground littered with lifespan orbs, all non-tradeable and accumulating to several hundred years in total, he lamented that he couldn’t collect them. Those were just going to benefit the surrounding monsters.

When Qin Feng returned to the town square, neither Song Fei nor his group of fangirls were anywhere to be seen.

“Did they flee to another town? Or log off?”

After a bit of reconnaissance while staying hidden, Qin Feng learned that Song Fei had taken his fangirls to a different area for leveling up.

“Even though I know which direction they went, it’s hard to say where they’re actually headed…”

It seemed like it would be a hassle to find Song Fei in the wilderness, even with Qin Feng’s speed.

Just then, he spotted a familiar figure.

A young girl dressed in a white priest’s robe walked by with a white owl perched on her shoulder.

It was none other than Gu Yixue!

In his previous life, she had been one of the core leaders of the guild **Godslayer**, which Qin Feng had founded.

Qin Feng knew Gu Yixue extremely well, but in this life, it was clear that she didn’t recognize him yet.

“The **White Bird Priest**, with her wide-range detection abilities.”

“Might as well have her help out, and get to know her in this life.”

With that thought, Qin Feng revealed himself and stepped in front of Gu Yixue.

Her in-game alias was **Snowy Day**.

He blocked her path and said, “Hey, beautiful, can you help me with something?”

“?”

Gu Yixue had fair skin and a pure, delicate face, especially those clear, lustrous eyes that gave off a subtle sense of innocence.

As for her figure…

It was concealed beneath her white priest robe, making it hard to discern at the moment.

“Ah, you’re Shadow?”

When she saw the man in front of her, Gu Yixue’s small mouth opened in surprise, her face lighting up with joy.

It was only then that Qin Feng remembered how famous he had become in this life.

The name Shadow was now known to countless players worldwide.

So it made sense that Gu Yixue would recognize him on sight.

“That’s right,” Qin Feng nodded, getting straight to the point. “I heard your class can detect targets over a wide area. Help me find where Song Fei is, and in return, I’ll sell you this gold-tier staff at a discount.”

As he spoke, he showed her a gold-tier priest staff that had dropped from the **Golden Ghost Ship** boss.

Originally, he had planned to sell all of his gear to Wang Meng.

But since the priest in Wang Meng’s team was now Qin Xiaoyou, there was no way Qin Feng was giving any of it to her.

Giving it to Gu Yixue instead seemed like a perfect solution.

“Wow…”

Gu Yixue’s eyes sparkled when she saw the golden staff. “Of course, of course… Wait, how did you know I could detect over a wide area? I’ve never told anyone about that.”

Qin Feng shook his head. “Don’t worry about that. The real question is, do you want the staff or not?”

Gu Yixue quickly nodded. “I do, I do! But… I might not have enough to buy it…”

“Not even 500 days? It’s worth at least seven or eight hundred.”

Gu Yixue tilted her head. “Oh, well, I do have exactly 500 days. So… deal?”

“Deal,” Qin Feng said. “Now, help me find Song Fei’s location.”

Gu Yixue giggled and opened the trade window, offering all 500 of her days of lifespan.

Although her class was a hidden **priest** class, it wasn’t easy for her to solo level. Still, her exceptional gameplay and strategic skills were why she had become a core combat member of **Godslayer** in the past.

This girl wasn’t just a support class; her heals had bite.

Once she held the golden priest staff in her hands, a silly smile spread across her face.

“Ahem, focus.”

Qin Feng waved his hand in front of her to snap her out of it.

“Oh, right.”

The girl grinned sheepishly before teasing, “Aren’t you afraid I’ll just run off with the staff and not help you?”

Qin Feng smirked. “What, are you a Song Fei fan?”

Gu Yixue squinted playfully. “So you know I’m not? Are you someone I know in real life? But… your voice doesn’t sound familiar…”

Qin Feng shrugged nonchalantly. “Guess.”

Gu Yixue rolled her eyes. “Can’t be bothered. Fine, let’s do this.”

She waved her hand, sending the white owl perched on her shoulder into the sky.

Her eyes turned pure white, signaling that her vision had shifted to the owl’s point of view.

The owl soared into the sky, scanning the area for kilometers around the town, covering a vast range.

With such a large group, Song Fei’s party stood out immediately.

Before long, Gu Yixue had pinpointed their coordinates and relayed them to Qin Feng.

After providing the location, Gu Yixue added, “I can’t guarantee they won’t move. By the time you get there, they might have shifted.”

Qin Feng thought for a moment. “Let’s add each other as friends. Keep tracking them, and send me their updated location.”

Gu Yixue hesitated, asking nervously, “Wait, how long do I have to track them? If it’s too long, I—”

She clearly worried about being stuck in this task for hours.

“It won’t take long,” Qin Feng assured her, tossing her a friend request before turning toward the town’s exit, heading in the direction of Song Fei’s group while seamlessly slipping back into stealth.

“…”

Relieved, Gu Yixue smiled. “Oh, just a short while? That’s easy!”

Happy with her new staff, she let out another silly giggle, accepted Qin Feng’s friend request, and refocused on keeping an eye on Song Fei’s group using her owl.

Meanwhile, Song Fei and his fangirls were still on the move.

They made their way along a desolate riverside, cutting down any monsters in their path with ease, as if nothing could stop them.

“I don’t really have a grudge against Shadow,” Song Fei mused.

“He’s already taken my silver-tier boss and killed me twice. That should be enough, right? There’s no way he’s going to keep chasing me all the way out here.”

Song Fei felt like there was no real bad blood between him and Shadow. Surely this was just a fluke; there was no reason for Shadow to pursue him this far.
