MWM Chapter 110

This entry is part 111 of 599 in the series In Marvel: I Start by Marying Scarlett Witch

After returning to the manor with baby Voldemort, Leo handed him over to Bally for care—he wasn’t one for looking after children.

After adopting Voldemort, besides visiting Newt to exchange magical knowledge, Leo also began using black market Portkeys to travel to France periodically to meet Grindelwald.

Grindelwald had stayed in New York for a while, but without finding the Obscurus and facing increased scrutiny from MACUSA due to his prison break, he had to temporarily abandon the search and continue his plans in France.

Every time Leo visited, he mainly sought to learn dark magic, occasionally assisting in dealing with the International Confederation of Wizards’ pursuit. With his unique ninjutsu skills, his reputation grew increasingly formidable.

In the blink of an eye, it was March 15th of the following year, and the six-month period of the small world had come to an end.

“This journey has been incredibly fruitful!”

As the countdown for the small world time ended, Leo’s figure reappeared in the office of his company in the main world.

In just six months, his magical abilities had already surpassed those of an average Auror, even excelling in certain areas.

He hadn’t neglected his ninjutsu training either; he had mastered nearly all the ninjutsu he had acquired before.

In battles with the Aurors from the Wizarding Confederation, he had seamlessly integrated ninjutsu, magic, and physical combat techniques, creating a combat style uniquely his own.

“Xiao Liu, go buy me a typewriter.”

The moment Leo returned to the main world, he pressed the intercom and instructed Xiao Liu.

“Yes, boss!”

Xiao Liu didn’t know why his boss suddenly wanted a typewriter, but he didn’t ask why—no matter how strange the request, he would carry it out without question.

In less than twenty minutes, Xiao Liu had brought a typewriter into Leo’s office.

Leo wasted no time, his hands flying across the keys as he began to type rapidly.

“‘Magical Theory,’ by Adalbert Waffling; ‘The Standard Book of Spells, Grade 1,’ by Miranda Goshawk; ‘The Magic of Toast,’ ‘Enchant Your Cheese,’ ‘Conjure a Feast!’…”

One by one, the magical books he had memorized from the small world were being typed out in this world.

As his company continued to grow, HYDRA, S.H.I.E.L.D., and even the government would inevitably start focusing on him. While he wasn’t afraid, he was somewhat concerned about Wanda’s safety.

And with a few years left before Thanos sends the Mind Stone to Earth, he had already decided that when he returned, he would have Wanda start learning magic so that he wouldn’t have to worry too much about her safety.

Thanks to Leo’s lightning-fast typing speed, by the end of the workday, he had successfully typed out over thirty magical books and instructed Xiao Liu to have them all printed and bound.

“My dear, why did you buy so many books?”

Wanda, who was cooking dinner, hurried over to help when she saw Leo walk in with dozens of books.

However, when she saw the titles, a look of surprise crossed her face:

“These… are all… fairy tales?”

She couldn’t understand why her husband had bought so many fairy tales—after all, they didn’t have any children.

“No, these aren’t fairy tales. I’ll explain after dinner.”

Leo pointed to the stove where the fire was still on.

Wanda suddenly remembered the steak she was cooking and, with a shriek, rushed back to the kitchen.

“It’s time to tell Wanda a few things.”

Watching Wanda bustle about in the kitchen, Leo thought to himself.

Up until now, he hadn’t revealed his various abilities to Wanda. But since he planned to teach her magic, there was no need to hide anymore.

In fact, it would be difficult to keep it hidden, given the increasing number of events that would inevitably expose the truth sooner or later.

It would be better to tell Wanda now so she could be prepared.

After dinner, Leo brought the stack of magical books to the sofa and, with a serious expression, said to Wanda:

“Wanda, these aren’t fairy tales. They’re real magical books!”

“Magic? My dear, have you been working too hard lately? How could magic possibly exist in this world?”

Wanda blinked, then reached out to feel Leo’s forehead, laughing softly.

Ever since her parents died, she had occasionally been able to move small objects with her mind, but she never considered it magic. She just thought her body had undergone some sort of mutation, giving her a minor superpower.

Just like how her brother Pietro, after that incident, could run faster than normal people.

As for magic—well, magic couldn’t possibly be real; it was just something in fairy tales to entertain children. She wasn’t a child.

She thought her husband, Leo, was playing a joke on her.

“Wanda, there’s something I’ve never told you—I can do magic!”

Leo looked steadily at Wanda, then extended his hand and took out the Elder Wand from his mission space.

“**Wingardium Leviosa!**”

With a simple Levitation Charm, the table in front of the sofa slowly rose into the air.

“Oh my God!”

Wanda’s eyes widened as she watched the entire table float up, then she covered her mouth in shock.

With a wave of the wand, the table gently settled back down. Leo spoke softly:

“Wanda, I know you can do these things too, can’t you?”

Hearing Leo’s words, a look of panic flashed across Wanda’s face:

“You… so you knew all along. My dear, I didn’t mean to hide it from you; I was just worried it would scare you.”

After they got married, Wanda had considered telling Leo about her abilities but was afraid he would be frightened or think she was a monster. In the end, she didn’t have the courage.

She cared too much about her relationship with Leo and was terrified of losing the hard-won happiness she now had.

Seeing this, Leo quickly comforted her:

“It’s okay, Wanda, listen to me. I’ve always known about your abilities; I just didn’t think it was important, just like I never told you I could do magic.

But things are different now. The Li Corporation is growing, and we’ve made some enemies. I’m worried that some ill-intentioned people might target us.

So I want you to learn some magic. That way, even if I’m not around, you can protect yourself.”

“What? My dear, you’re saying you might be in danger? Who wants to hurt you?”

Upon hearing that Leo might be in danger, Wanda’s pupils contracted, and her body began to emit a faint red glow. The furniture around the house also started to tremble slightly as if influenced by some force.

Noticing this, Leo’s lips twitched, and he quickly placed both hands on Wanda’s shoulders to calm her down:

“Wanda, don’t get excited, Wanda. I only said it’s a possibility—nothing is certain. I’m just taking precautions. And look, I’m perfectly fine right now.”
