MWM Chapter 112

This entry is part 113 of 599 in the series In Marvel: I Start by Marying Scarlett Witch

In the afternoon, worried that Wanda might lose confidence in her magic abilities, Leo handed her the Elder Wand, a tool that could stabilize and enhance magical power, while he himself picked up a chopstick to begin their first spell lesson:

“Wanda, the spell I’m about to teach you is called the Levitation Charm. The incantation is *Wingardium Leviosa*.

The rhythm of the incantation should go like this: *Wing-gar-di-um Levi-o-sa*, with the ‘gar’ being pronounced long and clearly. And the wand movement goes like this…”

Since Wanda could already move small, light objects, similar to the effects of the Levitation Charm and Summoning Charm, Leo decided to start with these types of spells for the afternoon’s lesson.

Wanda, a bit nervous, tried to mimic Leo’s wand movement, holding the Elder Wand, and then recited the incantation toward the table in front of her:

“Wingardium Leviosa!”

As soon as she finished the spell, the table immediately floated off the ground.

“Dear, I did it!”

Seeing her successful spellcasting, Wanda jumped up excitedly like a child.

After struggling with the magical theory Leo had taught her in the morning, she had begun to seriously doubt her ability to learn magic.

So when she managed to cast a spell so easily, she couldn’t help but be overjoyed.

In truth, she had always been able to make objects float, but only very light ones. She had never been able to move something as heavy as a table before.

This made sense—it’s similar to how a wizard can lift an object with magic, but using a spell to do so is far more efficient.

“Great… fantastic, that was amazing!”

Leo was momentarily stunned, not because Wanda had succeeded in casting the spell on her first try, but because her wand movement and incantation timing were completely off, yet she still managed to cast the Levitation Charm successfully.

Even he, at his current level, would likely fail if he tried to cast the Levitation Charm in the way Wanda had just done.

With this initial success, Wanda gained confidence in learning magic and eagerly asked Leo to teach her more spells.

So, throughout the afternoon, Leo taught her various spells, including the Transformation Charm, Unlocking Charm, Smokescreen Charm, Softening Charm, Lumos Charm, and Locking Charm—over a dozen in total.

And Wanda showed Leo what true natural talent looked like. He had thought Credence was a remarkable genius, but Wanda was on an entirely different level.

With each spell, Wanda would pick it up almost immediately, even if her wand movements and incantation timing were far from standard. As long as she said the words, the magic would work.

Leo had initially thought it might take months to teach Wanda magic, but now it seemed it might only take a few days.

Wanda didn’t need to study any magical theory—she just needed to remember the incantations.

The only possible hurdle in her magical learning might be her memory, which wasn’t the best. She might need a bit more time than usual to memorize the incantations.

Leo already found this incredible, but the next day, he discovered something even more astonishing.

In the morning, when Leo woke up, Wanda was already in the kitchen, busily preparing breakfast as usual.

“Dear, this cooking magic is amazing! I’ve never found cooking to be so simple and fun!”

As Leo walked out of the bedroom, he saw Wanda waving her hands, with the dishes and ingredients moving as if they had a mind of their own, cooking in perfect rhythm.

“It seems I won’t need to teach you anymore. You can just read the books and memorize the incantations on your own.”

He hadn’t taught Wanda any cooking magic the day before; she must have gotten curious that morning, read the spells in the cookbook, and learned them on her own.

To be honest, this kind of magic teaching gave him no sense of accomplishment.

After praising Wanda, Leo was about to head to the bathroom to brush his teeth and wash his face, but then he suddenly stopped in his tracks and turned sharply toward Wanda:

“Wanda, it seems like you weren’t using a wand when you cast that spell?”

He remembered putting the Elder Wand back into his mission space after teaching the spells yesterday afternoon, which meant Wanda had been casting spells without a wand.

Wanda, still maintaining her cooking magic, turned her head to explain to Leo:

“I found using a wand and saying the incantations out loud too troublesome, so I tried doing it without the wand and just silently reciting the spells. It worked just as well. You should try it next time.”

“Hmm… okay… I’ll give it a try when I get the chance.”

Leo smiled broadly and nodded, then turned and walked into the bathroom.

*Crack.*

A sound of something breaking came from the bathroom.

“Dear, what happened?” Wanda asked with concern.

“Nothing, just accidentally broke my toothbrush. I’ll grab a new one.”

Wow, just started learning magic yesterday, and today she’s already doing wandless, nonverbal casting. That level of talent is unmatched.

Leo had plenty of cheats—he inherited memories, did physical training, and had guidance from dark wizards, Newt, and the first Dark Lord—yet he was only barely able to perform nonverbal casting, and only for a few particularly well-practiced spells.

As for wandless casting, that would take him quite a while to achieve.

It’s no wonder she’s called the Scarlet Witch—she was born to be a wizard.

It felt like, once he got his hands on the Mind Stone and unlocked her potential, he might not even need to lift a finger—Wanda could probably take on Thanos by herself.

“Maybe I can pull back some of the guards in the neighborhood.”

With Wanda’s ability to cast spells without a wand or words, all she needed to do was memorize the spells Leo had written down. Even without unlocking her full chaos magic potential, she would be more than capable of defending herself with these spells alone.

If she ever encountered a serious threat, she could just Disapparate and escape, like Leo.

“Hmph, that saleslady at the supermarket said this toothbrush was of great quality, but it broke in less than a week. I’ll have to talk to her next time.”

Outside, Wanda mumbled under her breath while continuing to cook with magic after hearing Leo’s explanation.

“The taste… it’s really good!”

Though Leo was slightly humbled by Wanda’s magical talent, he quickly reaped the benefits—her breakfast tasted significantly better than when she had cooked it herself.

It seemed that the quality of their meals at home was about to level up significantly.

Thinking about this, Leo couldn’t help but wish that Wanda had the talent for chakra. If she did, he’d definitely teach her the Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu.

But it couldn’t be helped—chakra was unique to the Naruto world, and people from other worlds simply couldn’t learn or use it. He only had the ability because he completed the main quest and was granted the talent by the system.

Unless… unless he could somehow bring the God Tree from Naruto World into this world.
