MWM Chapter 131

This entry is part 132 of 599 in the series In Marvel: I Start by Marying Scarlett Witch

“Brother Chuan, did you come to Konoha just to see us?”

Seeing Leo appear in Konoha, Naruto and his friends rushed over.

Previously, after their mission in the Land of Waves, they had invited Leo to visit Konoha. However, at that time, Leo had to deal with the aftermath of the Land of Waves and help rebuild its trade, so he had to decline.

Seeing Leo again in Konoha, the three of them were naturally very excited.

“Naruto, show some respect to His Highness the Prince!”

Shimotsuki Izumo quickly reminded Naruto, surprised to find out that the prince actually knew Konoha’s genin.

“His Highness the Prince?”

Naruto and his friends looked puzzled.

Leo smiled:

“I’ve been meaning to tell you—I’m not just a monk from the Temple of Fire; I’m also a prince of the Fire Nation. I’m here mainly to observe the Chunin Exams in Konoha.”

“Brother Chuan, you’re actually a prince!”

Sakura’s mouth fell open in shock.

Sasuke, on the other hand, was briefly taken aback but quickly regained his composure. Coming from the Uchiha clan, he wasn’t overly awed by nobles, though he was surprised.

Naruto scratched his head:

“What’s a prince? And how come everyone knows about the Chunin Exams?”

“You idiot, a prince is a very distinguished person, just like the Hokage.”

Sakura gave Naruto a light smack on the back of his head.

Naruto still didn’t fully understand. Although he aspired to become Hokage and wanted everyone’s recognition, he didn’t have a clear concept of how truly distinguished the Hokage was.

After all, to him, the Third Hokage often got knocked down by his Sexy Jutsu and had never acted too high and mighty.

“Forget it, it’s not important. I’m actually quite hungry. Brother Chuan, let me treat you to some ramen! The ramen at Uncle Raku’s place is super, super, super delicious!”

“Not now. I have to meet with the Hokage. If you’re not in a hurry, wait for me at the ramen shop. After I meet with the Hokage, I’ll treat you to ramen. Princes are very rich, you know.”

Leo winked at them, and Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke exchanged looks before nodding in agreement.

“See you later then.”

Waving, he followed Shimotsuki Izumo towards the Hokage Tower.

Among Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura, Leo actually liked Naruto the most. Despite his silliness, Naruto’s inherent optimism and drive were truly infectious.

Born an orphan and rejected by the village, it was nothing short of a miracle that he grew up with such a positive personality without succumbing to darkness.

Leo always believed that while a person’s experiences can influence their character, their innate nature is even more important.

Some people are born with a propensity for evil; no matter how good their environment is, they will still turn out bad. Others are born good; even if the world is harsh, their inner goodness remains intact.

As they reached the base of the Hokage Tower, they saw a large group of Konoha ninjas in green vests exiting the building.

“It seems the Hokage has just finished a meeting about the Chunin Exams. These are the jounin and chunin who are currently not assigned any missions in the village,” Shimotsuki Izumo explained as he noticed Leo pausing.

Leo glanced around and quickly recognized several well-known Konoha ninjas by their distinctive features.

First, Kakashi was easy to spot; the watermelon-head and bushy eyebrows belonged to Might Guy, known for his Eight Gates technique—an ability Leo was particularly interested in. The Eight Gates technique could push physical abilities to their limits, with greater power as one’s physical strength increased.

Guy’s father, Might Duy, had taken on the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist using only the Eight Gates technique, killing four and severely injuring three with his lowly jonin strength.

Guy himself had almost kicked Madara to death after opening the Eight Gates, earning him the title “The Man Who Almost Kicked the End of the World.”

If Leo could obtain the Eight Gates technique and combine it with the current enhancement potions and his control over chakra, he could definitely push physical techniques to their maximum potential.

The man with the large beard and cigarette was likely Asuma Sarutobi, the son of the Third Hokage and a close friend of his disciple, Guy.

Beside Asuma was a mature-looking woman with red eyes—probably Kurenai Yuhi, one of Konoha’s few jounin specializing in genjutsu.

Also present were former disciple of Orochimaru, Anko Mitarashi, and Konoha’s interrogation expert, Ibiki Morino. Leo couldn’t recognize others with less distinctive features.

“Kakashi, our students are about to engage in some passionate battles. How exciting! While we wait, let’s have our 110th duel right here in front of the Hokage Tower!”

Kakashi, who was planning to check out the latest issue of “Makeout Paradise,” was stopped by Guy, who was brimming with enthusiasm. Guy’s gleaming white teeth shone brightly in the scorching sun.

Kakashi quickly glanced around, looking for an escape route to avoid wasting time on Guy’s so-called youthful duel.

However, as his eyes darted to the left, he suddenly froze, his expression turning to one of surprise.

“Good morning, Kakashi!”

Seeing Kakashi’s gaze fall on him, Leo waved and greeted him with a smile.

This gesture immediately caught the attention of the other jounin and chunin who had just exited the Hokage Tower.

Kakashi Hatake, who graduated from the ninja academy at five, became a chunin at six, and a jounin at twelve, was a prodigy among prodigies, renowned throughout Konoha’s ninja ranks.

So when the others saw Kakashi being greeted by a stranger in noble attire, they couldn’t help but stop and take notice.

“Chuan, what are you doing here?”

Kakashi appeared in front of Leo in an instant, his eyes filled with curiosity.

The monks from the Temple of Fire never participated in the Chunin Exams, and Leo’s distinguished noble attire, along with Shimotsuki Izumo and the entourage, conveyed an unusual sense of distinction.

“Kakashi, this is Prince of the Fire Nation. He’s here to observe the Chunin Exams in Konoha.”

Shimotsuki Izumo explained.

Leo smiled and nodded:

“Since I practice some ninja techniques as well, the Daimyo sent me here.”

Kakashi’s eyes widened briefly at the revelation but soon returned to normal.

From the clues in the Land of Waves, he had suspected that Leo held another identity besides being a monk from the Temple of Fire, but he hadn’t expected him to be the esteemed Prince of the Fire Nation.
