MWM Chapter 137

This entry is part 138 of 599 in the series In Marvel: I Start by Marying Scarlett Witch

“Your Highness, you should go to the tower. It’s extremely dangerous to follow me.”

Based on her sensing of the cursed seal, Anko quickly closed the distance between herself and Orochimaru, only to find Leo appearing next to her. She immediately urged him:

“I didn’t expect you, the prince, to follow me. If we encounter Orochimaru, it will only be an added burden.”

Aside from Kakashi, whom she had fought alongside, and Tenzō, who was responsible for protection and supervision, the other ninjas in the village knew Leo was the prince of the Fire Country but were unaware of his true strength.

However, it was clear that a noble’s strength was limited, and the fact that he could keep up with her was already surprising.

“The tower is where Tenzō went. I came to see if I could be of any help.”

Leo replied with genuine enthusiasm.

It was no joke—after managing to escape nearly 24/7 surveillance from Tenzō, he wasn’t going to miss an opportunity to deal with Orochimaru.

In reality, escaping Tenzō’s surveillance without suspicion was no easy feat. Though he could use the Shadow Clone Technique to teleport, it had a characteristic noise akin to firecrackers when activated.

Tenzō was always nearby; even when he slept, he was on rooftops or trees, ready to investigate at the slightest sound.

Leo had considered using Shadow Clones, but they could only last a few minutes. While they were effective for short-term tasks, they would reveal his presence if used for a longer duration.

Moreover, his residence was on the Sarutobi clan’s land, right next to the Hokage Mansion, and not far from the Third Hokage’s home. Any commotion might attract the Third Hokage before others could arrive.

“Your Highness, we’re almost there. Stay hidden behind me and escape if anything goes wrong!”

Hearing the sounds of battle ahead, Anko’s expression tightened.

“Understood.”

Leo did not argue but responded with a smile, falling a few steps behind Anko to follow her.

Soon, they arrived at the source of the battle noises.

There, a long-haired ninja dressed in Grass Village attire stood atop a giant snake, looking down at Sasuke. Sakura, out of breath and holding kunai, stood behind Sasuke. Naruto lay unconscious on a large tree nearby.

“Orochimaru!”

Seeing the figure atop the giant snake, Anko’s anger flared immediately:

“Shadow Snake Hands!”

Four long snakes emerged from her sleeves and viciously lunged at Orochimaru.

Upon seeing Anko, Orochimaru first showed a hint of surprise before smiling and shaking his head:

“My dear subordinate, it’s been a long time. You greet me with such coldness upon our reunion.”

He did not dodge the ninjutsu Anko used but allowed the four snakes to bind his limbs, pulling him closer to her.

“As a fugitive S-rank rogue ninja, my mission as your former disciple is to end you myself.”

Anko pinned Orochimaru’s left hand to her left hand with a kunai to prevent him from forming seals. She clasped her right hand with his, quickly forming several seals using Orochimaru’s hand.

“Is this seal your way of wanting us to die together?”

Orochimaru looked down at the seal Anko was forming, his face showing surprise.

Despite the pain of her hand being pierced, Anko revealed a complex expression:

“Yes, you and I will die here today.”

Orochimaru had once been her most trusted and admired teacher, but he betrayed her and fled the village, even erasing some of her memories.

Today, for the safety of Konoha, she was prepared to die with Orochimaru.

“However, such an action seems to be of no use except for suicide.”

At that moment, a new Orochimaru appeared on a tree ahead, while the one Anko had bound began to dissolve and disappear.

“How is that possible!”

Anko’s eyes showed disbelief. She tried to form seals to launch another attack but suddenly felt a sharp pain from the cursed seal on her shoulder. Her chakra was instantly drained, causing her to collapse weakly against the tree trunk.

“Truly deserving of being one of the Legendary Three.”

After saving the unconscious Naruto and handing him to Sasuke and Sakura, Leo turned to see that Anko had lost her fighting ability.

“Big Brother Chuan, what’s going on?”

Seeing Leo appear, Sakura and Sasuke felt a moment of relief. However, seeing their examiner Anko defeated so quickly by that Grass Village ninja, their concern surged again.

Leo glanced at Orochimaru and whispered:

“This person isn’t a Grass Village ninja. He is Orochimaru, an S-rank rogue ninja. I’ll hold him off. You take Anko and escape to a safe place.”

“Your Highness, get them out of here quickly!”

Anko, gritting her teeth and enduring the pain from the cursed seal, shouted down at Leo.

She had completely lost her combat capability. Relying on Leo and the three Genin to defeat Orochimaru was practically impossible.

“That won’t do. My experiment isn’t finished yet. None of you can leave.”

Orochimaru, not killing Anko but instead pointing at Leo, directed the giant snake to attack him.

His purpose for coming today was to test Sasuke’s potential, then implant a cursed seal on him, and eventually, when this body could no longer function, occupy Sasuke’s.

Before he defected from Akatsuki, he was instantly defeated by Itachi’s Sharingan, which sparked his intense interest in it.

“Orochimaru, whether it works or not is not up to you!”

Leo roared, activating his second form. His body rapidly expanded, transforming into a muscular giant over two meters tall. Empowered by his chakra, he punched the incoming giant snake’s head.

“Boom!”

With a massive crash, the giant snake was punched through the head and instantly killed.

Faced with Orochimaru’s strength comparable to a Kage, Leo dared not hold back, knowing that even a slight mistake could lead to his death at Orochimaru’s hands.

Anko was once Orochimaru’s only disciple and had some emotional connection to him. When he betrayed her, he erased her memories rather than killing her directly.

Sasuke was the intended host body, Naruto was the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki, and Sakura had no desire to kill. So they were, in fact, safe.

Without Leo, the prince, Orochimaru might have been more inclined to eliminate them without hesitation.

So, he immediately activated his second form of the Giant Muscle.
