MWM Chapter 14

This entry is part 15 of 599 in the series In Marvel: I Start by Marying Scarlett Witch

“Transformation Jutsu!”

After quickly cleaning up the traces, Leo formed hand seals and, with a “puff,” transformed from the young driver into the portly Hades.

“Sometimes these support ninjutsu are even more useful than attack ninjutsu.”

Driving Hades’ red sedan, he couldn’t help but sigh.

The Transformation Jutsu, though an E-rank jutsu that every beginner learns, proved to be incredibly effective in the Marvel world, where no one could detect chakra.

Without the Transformation Jutsu, it would have been impossible to abduct Hades to the outskirts for interrogation without leaving any traces.

Regardless of whether he acted alone or with his subordinates, there would have been surveillance cameras all over the city, inevitably leaving evidence. Once everything was over, any investigator could trace those clues back to him and his company.

Even with chakra enhancement and some attack ninjutsu, infiltrating the Hydra base to rescue Dr. Smith was almost impossible. Let alone killing Baron Strucker and destroying the entire Hydra base.

Currently, the Hydra base didn’t possess the Mind Scepter, nor had they used the Mind Stone or Chitauri technology to develop advanced energy shields. But even ordinary guns and cannons were far more powerful than his D-rank fireball jutsu.

So, a head-on confrontation was not an option. Only by using his individual strengths to infiltrate could he complete the three tasks and escape unscathed.

Without the Transformation Jutsu, sneaking into a Hydra base with comprehensive surveillance would be a hellish challenge.

As it stood, his Transformation Jutsu wasn’t perfect due to time constraints. Mastering it would allow him not only to change into other people but also animals or even inanimate objects like stones, vases, and weapons.

Of course, there were limitations and precautions. First, failing to conceal chakra would make the transformation easy to detect by other ninjas, especially sensor types—though this wasn’t a concern in Marvel. Second, transforming into something doesn’t grant its properties; becoming an explosive tag wouldn’t make you explosive, only similar in appearance. Lastly, taking damage could disrupt the chakra, reverting you back to your original form. So, transforming into a sword wouldn’t allow you to actually fight with it, and becoming a shield wouldn’t protect you from bullets.

However, mastering Transformation Jutsu could lead to developing more advanced techniques, like Konan’s “Dance of the Shikigami” or Jiraiya’s “Frog Transformation.”

All this related knowledge about Transformation Jutsu was taught to him by Chiriku at the Temple of Fire.

“Mr. Hades, why are you here? Didn’t you just deliver supplies last week?”

At the first checkpoint outside the base, a squad of soldiers stopped Leo’s car. The squad leader, clearly familiar with Hades’ vehicle, knocked on the window.

Leo took a deep breath. He didn’t know this squad leader. Although he had extracted a lot of information from Hades, as an old Hydra member, Hades was familiar with most people in the base, making it hard for Leo to match faces to names.

To avoid being questioned too much and risk exposure before reaching Baron Strucker, he forcefully opened the car door, threw himself to the ground, and frantically shouted at the squad leader:

“Quick… take me to see the Baron. The Baron is in danger… There’s a traitor in the base…”

Before finishing his sentence, he closed his eyes and pretended to faint, using his martial arts mastery to slow his heartbeat and breathing.

The squad leader was visibly shocked by Leo’s performance.

“Mr. Hades… Mr. Hades!”

After checking Leo’s breath and heartbeat, he urgently ordered his men:

“Quick, take Mr. Hades back to the base for treatment.”

Hearing himself being transported towards the base, Leo felt a sense of relief.

According to Hades’ information, there were six checkpoints outside the Hydra base. Even disguised as Hades, entering at an unusual time would involve extensive questioning.

His act allowed him to bypass all the checks and meet his target as quickly as possible.

No one would suspect an unarmed, severely injured old Hydra member carrying vital information.

The only flaw might have been his slightly exaggerated acting, but combined with his physical control, it didn’t raise any alarms.

Rushed through five checkpoints by a patrol jeep, Leo finally arrived at the base entrance, where base medical staff carried him inside on a stretcher.

In the base’s medical room, Leo was placed on a bed as the base’s lead scientist, temporarily acting as a doctor, conducted an initial examination.

“Dr. List, how is Hades?”

Soon, Baron Strucker, wearing a leather coat and monocle, entered the medical room with two subordinates.

Dr. List, the base’s second-in-command responsible for all experimental projects, shook his head:

“Strange, his body appears uninjured, but his heartbeat and breathing are very weak, likely affected by a special weapon or ability. I’ll try using a defibrillator to revive him.”

“Make sure he survives.”

Baron Strucker commanded sternly.

Under normal circumstances, Hades’ death wouldn’t matter; he wasn’t an irreplaceable figure. But now, understanding what Hades said before fainting was crucial.

Who attacked Hades? What danger was he referring to? What was this talk of a traitor in the base?

Feeling himself being taken to the base, Leo, feigning unconsciousness, felt a sense of relief.
