Hearing Dumbledore’s warning, the Aurors were startled and immediately prepared to Apparate away. 

However, a booming voice suddenly echoed from above.

“Dumbledore, let’s call it a day. I admit I can’t kill you, but you can’t harm me either. Continuing this fight is pointless. I’m leaving now!”

Leo, surrounded by his ten rings, spoke these words amplified by the Sonorus Charm, then swiftly flew away.

The ten rings not only provided defense but also allowed their bearer to fly through the air. Though the flight speed wasn’t particularly fast—it was actually slower than Leo’s own running speed on the ground—it was still quite effective for making a dramatic exit.

In reality, his primary objectives were already achieved, and leaving now was the best choice, as continuing the fight would not be favorable. His chakra was nearly depleted, while Dumbledore’s magical power seemed limitless.

He couldn’t possibly compete with Dumbledore using magic alone; that would be a futile endeavor.

Seeing Leo fly away, Dumbledore also let out a sigh of relief. He didn’t know that Leo was using chakra and casting ninjutsu; he assumed they were both using magical power.

A wizard’s magical power is unlimited and can be endlessly converted, limited only by the amount and efficiency of conversion and the wizard’s mastery of magic.

To be honest, if Leo had indeed been using magic, he wouldn’t have to worry about running out of magical power; he could just keep creating clones and launching relentless attacks, which would indeed be terrifying.

If Leo were ruthless enough to attack Hogwarts Castle and force him out, the outcome would be hard to predict.

“I never expected Grindelwald to have such a powerful wizard under his command. This is trouble!”

One Grindelwald was already enough to turn the world upside down, and now, with a mysterious wizard whose strength was nearly comparable to his, it was like adding wings to a tiger.

“I hope Tom and Newt can make a difference.”

Dumbledore now regretted not teaching Tom more powerful spells earlier. Tom was indeed talented and had a very powerful Patronus, but compared to today’s Mysterious One, he still had a long way to go.

Meanwhile, after flying some distance, Leo found a secluded spot and used a Portkey to return to Paris, France.

His secret identity as the Mysterious One went offline temporarily, and his public persona as Tom Fawley was back in play.

He didn’t seek out Newt or the others immediately; instead, he found a place to recover his almost completely depleted chakra.

After the battle with Dumbledore during the day, he needed to prepare for his fight with Grindelwald that night. Grindelwald used deadly dark magic, which was even more dangerous than Dumbledore’s spells.

At five in the afternoon, a massive black cloth formed by magic draped over all of Paris. Any wizard who touched the cloth could feel Grindelwald’s summons.

By eight o’clock that evening, at Père Lachaise, pure-blood wizards from all over the world Apparated to the site.

They gathered, excitedly discussing Grindelwald and the inspiring news they had just heard.

“Did you hear? I heard that the Mysterious One had a wizard duel with Dumbledore today at noon in Hogsmeade.”

“What? Is that true? Isn’t the Mysterious One in danger?”

“It was at the Quidditch pitch at Hogwarts. They say it ended in a draw. I just received a letter from my son by owl.”

“By Merlin’s beard, the Mysterious One managed to hold his own against Dumbledore! It looks like the Ministry of Magic is finished. Now, who can stop us from wiping out those filthy Muggles?”

“I heard there were Aurors from the Ministry of Magic helping, and even they couldn’t capture the Mysterious One in the end. I think the Mysterious One’s strength is almost on par with Grindelwald’s.”

Hidden among the thousands of wizards were Aurors from various Ministries of Magic, who were wide-eyed upon hearing these discussions.

Especially the Aurors from the British Ministry of Magic, including Newt and Theseus, who knew how powerful Dumbledore was. They never imagined that the Mysterious One could battle Dumbledore to a draw and then leave calmly.

“Stay alert. Once Grindelwald and his followers arrive, activate the Anti-Disapparition Jinx. We mustn’t let Grindelwald escape. This time, we aim to eliminate these threats in one strike!”

Theseus, the leader of this operation, quietly instructed the Aurors.

Although his superior had been suppressing Dumbledore, it was undeniable that Dumbledore was widely regarded as the only wizard capable of challenging Grindelwald.

Now, with Dumbledore attacked by Grindelwald’s subordinate, the Mysterious One, who then left unscathed, it would significantly boost Grindelwald’s morale, swaying more wizards to his side.

Only by capturing Grindelwald and his followers in this joint operation could they prove the Ministry’s strength and bring the wizarding community back to its senses.

Just then, a thunderous round of applause erupted—it was Grindelwald arriving with his followers.

“Activate the Anti-Disapparition Jinx. Prepare to move on my command!” 

Seeing Grindelwald’s appearance, Theseus slowly drew his wand.

Just as he was about to give the signal, a hand suddenly reached out and grabbed his arm.

“Don’t act! It’s a trap!”

Leo pulled back his hood.

“Tom!”

Newt, Tina, and Theseus were visibly relieved and excited to see Leo.

With a serious expression, Leo explained:

“Some of the Aurors in this operation are followers of Grindelwald. He already knows about your Anti-Disapparition Jinx here and has sent people to sabotage it.”

“If you attack him now, he will incite all the wizards here to attack you, stirring up their hatred against you.”

“What? How could this be?”

Theseus’s expression changed upon hearing this.

There were thousands of wizards here; if they launched an attack, even if the Aurors were all quite capable, they wouldn’t be able to hold them off.

Moreover, it would be difficult for them to retaliate effectively because not all attendees were Grindelwald’s followers; some were just there out of curiosity, and accidental injuries could cause even more trouble.

“So, what do we do now?”

Newt and Tina frowned.

Leo replied softly:

“Wait until the meeting ends. When everyone disperses, and only Grindelwald and his followers remain, then we strike.”

Theseus thought for a moment and reluctantly nodded.

“It seems that’s our only option.”

Thus, Leo and Newt, along with the others, positioned themselves at the back of the gathering, surrounding the entire assembly, waiting quietly for Grindelwald’s rally to conclude.

Grindelwald’s speech was highly provocative. He used his prophetic abilities to show the wizards the Second World War that Muggles would start in a decade and the powerful weapons they would invent, such as tanks, airplanes, missiles, and nuclear bombs.

He successfully brainwashed all the ordinary wizards present, and even a few Aurors.
